I switched to my present church because I needed to have a more complete understanding of Christianity and I can say that I have not been disappointed. I have made more progress in my life since then than I have ever made previously. |
My friend, REVISE THIS MOTO (police to a driver whose vehicle was causing traffic obstruction). |
Light dey my area well well. Not feeling effects of any strike. |
Use it on Zenith bank or GTB ATMs only. Infact, I just cashed N20,000 on a Zenith bank ATM this evening. However, all transactions carry a fee of $2.15, which is about N330. |
If they tell the same person to spend 10 minutes in prayer to God, he will be complaining. |
The road in question is just about 500 metres and runs in front of the DEPOWA office, and runs to Yaradua barracks, very close to the junior DIA officer's mess. Very small road. If it was constructed by DEPOWA and they decided to name it after madam (who may even have assisted them with some of the money used), I do not see what is wrong with it. That area is a military zone so civilians do not even use it. |
India is not the magic wand. My dad has had diabetes for almost 30 years and he is ok. Most Nigerians do not go for regular medical checks and this is where our problem lies. |
Beaf::Can you tell us where in India it is $75 to do an MRI? |
profet: @ STAGGER. kindly send the payment procedure to tosabem2000@yahoo.comYou have mail; check your spam folder as well. |
He came and he went. What a way to go! ![]() |
free2ryhme: 50k per playerYou are a real dumbo. A family relation underwent a CT scan for N35,000 recently. Do you think an MRI is a machine you can put in your suitcase? Have you ever watched documentaries on Discovery channel to see how big those machines are? You can Google the cost of an MRI in the US and compare. Our people should start learning to read and get enlightened. |
I never participated in that shiit. Imagine me running around town in filthy ragged loans going to take insults from people for how much? Maybe some people do it and it is fun for them. But I did not and I usually tell off anyone coming to ask me for money for rag day. It is only one girl who was a neighbour's daughter, whose naming ceremony I attended more than 25 years ago that I ever gave money for rag day. If the original purpose (which was to raise money for charity) was observed, then I will say yes; rag day is ok. But now students pay money to the SUG guys to collect the tin, then go to glean money from the public for themselves. So what the heck is that? |
Some people here are even defending the soldier. Tells you how many Nigerians think; with their rear ends. |
I would rate the leagues as follows: 1) Tunisia 2) Ghana (have you watched these guys? Their ball control and distribution is second to none. Our players need to learn basic skills from their Ghanaian Premier League counterparts). 3) Nigeria 4) Egypt SA is way down. Those guys just have the money. Skill levels are very low. |
Sometimes it is bad advice or rather, non-advice from the medical team. They are supposed to inform athletes what is legal and what is not. For instance, one of the drugs I take for my blood pressure problem contains a banned substance. Supposing I was an athlete and was taking it for my blood pressure, can I be accused of deliberate doping? In such instance, it is the job of the doctor to give me a substitute so I can take care of my problem without running foul of the rules. I really think some of these things are cases of athletes not being familiar with what they should or should not take. |
Has anyone bothered to study the health implications? Hepatitis C is very readily spread by dirty tattoo needles, and from what I see concerning sterilization of even clippers in saloons, this could be a huge problem. |
One of my income earners was started with N100. Now I make N150,000 a month from it. No money borrowed. So I do not see anything so outrageous about the OP's efforts. Most times, it is your brain that you have to put to work in this type of venture. |
Malabeni: @Stagger. Please I'm yet to get answers to my earlier questions, help me with answers please. Please I also want to ask these questions, even a good estimate will do; what is the price of a computerized dispenser and that of a manual?, what is the price of a 12000 litres tank?, Is it cheaper to buy from a private depot than buying from an independent marketer(who has not got a depot ofcourse) and what/where is the nearest private depot to Anambra state? Thank you so much.Sorry I have been very busy. Check your mail for the reply. |
I do not miss the Premiership. I am an active footballer myself and every Saturday morning sees me on the field sweating it out with my club members from 7.30 am to 11am. I then get back home, take a shower, eat breakfast and sleep until 4pm. Then I head out to have some Abuja fun with my homies, and Saturday is spent. Could not ask for a better way to spend it. Of course when Premiership resumes in the next 4 weeks, I will rearrange the schedule to accommodate it. |
nenepea: Adio's family, Bassey & Company "Madam the Madam, it is a matter of cash"Adio's Family: Jab Adu, Femi Jarett, Ihria Enakhimio, Sola Fosudo, etc. Basi & Company: Albert Egbe (the father of the banker in Access Bank's school of excellence commercial), Tekena Harry McDonald, Aso Douglas, Ethel Ekpe (now anchor on 700 Club Nigeria) as well as Mildred Iweka played Segi. Hot Cash: Innocent Ohiri (as Wily Willy). HE is now the HOD of Department of Theatre Arts in UNIPORT. I remember "You Can't Take Your Wife to New York". Can't remember if it was Adiela Onyedibia and co who acted in it. Taking me real back memory lane. |
meedx: The Lagos is fryover housemaid role was played by Kate Henshaw.BS. It was definitely not Kate Henshaw. Stop confusing us. I was already in university in 1992 when Checkmate was running so I know for a fact that it was not Kate Henshaw. And that role was not as a housemaid, but as the village wife (Nkemchi) that was married for Nduka (Bimbo Manuel) by his people. At that time, Nduka was already married to Ada (played by Mildred Okopi nee Iweka, who was in Year 3, Theatre Arts in UNIPORT at the time). I knew many of those UNIPORT guys (Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Francis Duru, etc). SO please, do not confuse the younger generation with wrong info. |
Malabeni: hello Stagger,I sent you an sms on the mobile phone number you providI got the SMS when I was in a meeting and I have only just arrived home; quite late if you will agree. Tomorrow I will give you all the answers you need by email where I can be more detailed. |
why are people like this? What is so hard in doing a bit of legal work for your money? ![]() |
Agiliti: I think it's mainly caused by christianity, the bible is a very wise book, but somethings just don't make sense to me in it. How can one man who is supposed to be all powerful be beaten and crucified by his enemies and instead of showing them his true power, all he does is to forgive them for they don't know what they're doing?? but the same person can resurrect lazarus, heal the sick, make food from thin air, and even walk on water. In a place like Naija, the new testament does more harm than good and exalts weakness. at least the old testament was better with a no nonsense GodIf you preferred the old testament way of doing things, none of us here would be alive, especially when you remember how in days gone by, we would use the 10kobo given us for offering in Sunday school to buy chewing gum or ice cream, or we use swear words and take God's name in vain, or how we lie and cheat and blaspheme the name of God, or how we have at one time or another broken the 10 commandments repeatedly. |
As a Christian and a die-hard Winner, I will say one thing: The attitude of many Christians to problems is very appalling. When Moses got to the Red Sea and began crying to God, God Himself got annoyed and asked him pointedly why he was crying to Him when he had already been given a tool to use and divide the sea. Even the book of 2 Peter 1:3 said: His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. What is prayer really? Prayer is an avenue of communication with God. It is an avenue where I meet God, thank Him for all He has done for me, ask for forgiveness of my sins, and then ask Him to show me how to actualize His plan for my life. I CANNOT RECALL WHEN LAST I ASKED GOD FOR MONEY IN PRAYERS, because He has already set out principles regarding how to get money and make a livelihood: - you must work to eat - He will bless the work of your hands, meaning if you have no work or you cannot create work for yourself, you will not have money. It is not rocket science. The problem with most Nigerians is that we are mentally lazy, and are then quick to ascribe our self-made deficiencies as "the will of God" and then start "praying" without any thought as to how to solve the problem. How many Christians actually sit down after prayer to say to themselves: "how do I solve this problem", and then with a book and biro, start exploring options by deep critical thinking and writing the ideas down. If you come to my house, I have a cabinet where I write all my business plans, business ideas, contacts, relevant info I pick from talking with people, from the internet, even here from Nairaland (the amount of info on Nairaland cannot be quantified with money), etc, and use it to solve all my problems. Ask Christians how many of them keep a book which should serve as their "life think tank". You will see that more than 99% do not have. We pray to God to give us money, to bless us, we pay tithes, give offerings etc. But it does not stop there. Between the time of planting a seed and reaping the harvest, there is a lot of work to be done. And this "lot of work" is where too many people just leave it to God to do for them. Unfortunately, God does not operate like that. He expects us to do our bit, and then he will crown our efforts. So left to me, I would say there is a prayer:work imbalance in our society. God expects us to work. EVEN GOD WORKED and is still working. You think it is easy to attend to billions of prayers every single day? Imagine if you had a billion emails all requiring attention that day, and when completed, a fresh set comes. God is busy, He works, and he expects us created in His image and likeness to do the same. SO if you are the type that believes in 100% prayer without the accompanying effort to go with it, I am sorry for you. You go pray tire without results, while those who pray and then step out and take action to get the answers to their prayers will be reaping the results. |
Has that Robert Igbinedion fellow finished suing his relative that cleaned out Edo State treasury as governor? Useless lawyer. |
dare2think: Exactly how Jesus would have said it!I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will be drunk on their own blood, as with wine. Then all mankind will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob." This passage is found in Isaiah 49 verse 26 and was spoken by God Himself. SO you draw the analogy for yourself. ALl Bishop Oyedepo's haters (and I do hope for your sake you are not one of them) will not only drink their own blood and eat their flesh, but also the urine and faeces that their flesh and blood produces. So will Christ be proud of me? Absolutely, for telling you to your face what will befall those who try to stand against a moving train. |
May God punish all the Bishop Oyedepo haters in Nairaland. Let them go and drink their piss and eat their excreta! Nonsense! |
I will drink some red wine to this. Instead of the hungry lawyer to go and beg Bishop for some welfare, he wanted to reap N2BILLION from where did not sow! Ole! |
Riceseller, If you want to do food business, I think you should stick with it. I never believed that people make money from this until a manager of a cooperative told me of a certain woman who lives near my house that operates "open Sheraton" (fries akara, yam and plantain, and fish to go with it). This woman has been depositing 20k PLUS everyday with this cooperative for the past three years. Don't go into any partnership. Don't give your money to anyone to manage for you. Don't put the money into any business without finding out the requirements for such a business (financial, legal, regulatory, etc). |
I think Boko Haram is just trying to claim responsibility to make themselves look relevant. The Fulani herdsmen and then Biroms have been fighting in Plateau state for years before anything like Boko haram came into existence. |
