Alxmyr: [/b]Well said. Most of the panickers and weed smokers in my area and secondary school turned out to be the militants terrorising and kidnapping people today. Na so e dey take start. From attending night parties, they learn to start doing drugs. Then the girls start prostituting and aristo runs when they enter university, while the guys become cultists and armed robbers. And the beat goes on. Very happy that I am not an American and do not live there. |
logicboy: "Lord knows" is just an expression.I had a cousin who went to the US at 16, came back to Nigeria after 7 years a crack cocaine addict. Did not surprise us when he committed suicide after several failed drug rehab sessions. After seeing the ruins of his life first-hand, I will be a fool to provide an enabling environment for such to creep into my house. Going to night parties is an absolute taboo in my house. Even at my age, I NEVER keep late nights when I go to visit my aged parents out of the respect I have for them. 15 year old girl and you want to party late? Not in my house. |
logicboy: Not surprised if you're also an Oyedepo supporterAnother fool talking. So if your 15-year old daughter who has been doing poorly in school decides to go to a party at that unholy hour of the night, you will just let it pass as if everything is all right? I am not sure you are a father, because no sane father will allow such riotous behaviour in his household. |
Lenny5000: What is wrong with you people? How is choking your child disciplining her? Would you choke your own child? When ever it has to do with somebody we like we tend to defend them as if they are not humans that are not above mistakes... They didn't say he beat her or grounded her they said he tries to choke her... A mere child of 15... A girl for that matter. Now tell me what crime a 15yrs old child would commit in your sight that is worthy of chocking? Were you there? Police everywhere in the world always have a way of spicing up stories to make themselves look good. This is a simple act of corporal punishment from a dad to a daughter who refused his instruction not to attend a night party after a string of consistently poor grades in school. If the girl feels she is now all grown to do what she wants, then she should leave the comfort of his house and hit the streets, pay her own bills, send herself to college and face life. That is why America is a den of drug users, social misfits and crazed children who shoot their own school mates. My children have been trained to obey parental instruction, just the way I was trained to obey parental instructions. Instructions are not meant to be liked. They are for guidance, just the way we have rules and regulations and laws. Creflo Dollar has a right to correct his child with corporal punishment (I don't know about the choking aspect though; depends on what a "chokehold" is defined as). And this has nothing to do with his being a church minister. Order in a home is the father's duty. Plain and simple. |
We do not own our lives. Celebrating when another human being has died is not right. |
1forall: And meanwhile the Delta FA has blamed Christian Obodo for getting himself kidnapped, accusing him of showing off!An iota of truth in it. You have to be careful not to make yourself a target. |
Nigerians and their rush to judgement. The lady is yet to be tried and she has already been pronounced guilty. I tire o! |
naijanow: HERE’S WHAT BISHOP OYEDEPO PROPHESIEDListen Mr Man. There is a difference between prophetic declaration (which is what Bishop dished out) and prediction. Anybody can make a prediction. Prediction is a game of chance. I can predict that Man U will beat Barca by 5-0. Does not mean that it will happen; indeed on present form, it is very unlikely to happen. Prophetic declaration is something that God desires for your life. The actualisation if it depends on the individual. It is not a general purpose stuff. As an individual, you take it and apply it to yourself. Personally, I wrote them down. One of them was answered in my life in a very big way recently. My dad who has been ill for one year with a disease that was described as terminal, is still alive today, and the last review by his doctor who has been a specialist in that ailment for 20 years, actually said my dad was coming out of it and his treatment course has been stepped down to reflect his improving health. For me, that is a divine visitation. For another person, it may be contract. For another, it may be travelling out. It depends on what your needs/desires are. Not all of my expectations have been met according to the declaration. The year is not yet half way gone, so there is time. It is even likely that some may not be answered this year, but maybe in three years. I have travelled a lot with plenty of journey mercies. Not because I am better than those who died on road or air journeys, but only by the grace of God. And it will be very ungrateful of me to say that God is not faithful, or what his prophet declared is false or are wrong. You take it as it applies to you. |
If a girl peeps at me while I am bathing, I will drag her in and lock the door. She will then explain to me in words or in action what her motive is. |
My wife makes money from her business. I don't even know how much she has and I don't ask. I make enough to cater for our family needs and I do not live beyond my means, neither do I embark on crazy projects that will warrant my having to look for more money as to go borrowing. If I have no money for a project, I sit down and have a talk with the Holy Spirit as to how to source the money and not go borrowing from my wife or anyone. |
Too much ignorance here. Even US fighter planes miss the arrester cables on the aircraft carriers at sea, which is why they apply full thottle on landing so that if they miss the cable, they will have enough momentum to take off and make another landing attempt. Kudos to the Aero pilots that made a great call and brought the situation under control. I am aware that Aero sends their pilots to France for compulsory SIM training and recertification every 6 months. I don't know of other airlines. |
Some people think marriage is all about bleeping and frolicking around. It is when they get in that they discover that there are things they should have found out. I put a question to ladies here: WHAT SHOULD A HUSBAND BE? a) Good in bed? b) Good looking with swags? c) Love his wife as Christ so loved the church that He gave His life for it? (sacrificial, provider, defend her in time of trouble, a comforter, able to take the initiative, confront situations with boldness, self-control, instil discipline and be disciplined by example, etc) If women can answer this question correctly, they will not marry the wrong men. Obviously this lady here did not ask herself these 3 questions and she has paid the price. |
skyp: @stagger. From what i ve seen here it occurs to me that you are some one that can be trusted and as suchI have replied to your request. |
The US had better stay where they are. We don't need them jumping into our affairs. |
kandiikane: Seriously, 160 people- oh so they didn't count those below ground? that's about $625 for each victim's family. What a big fat joke!It is $100,000 to EACH of the families. Read before you write! |
moremi2008: ^^^^^^ lol @ all the responses on here. You guys have clearly never stepped outside Africa before otherwise you would know better than to go around slapping women. If you slap a woman (or a man)in the US and in most other civilized countries, she can call the cops and file assault charges. The cops don't care what she said; if you're the first to get physical, then you're in trouble with the law. That's an automatic criminal record for you; good luck finding good jobs, especially in the US! Most decent employers will assume that you have anger issues and zero self-control. That's the way it works here oh! Women have rights and you just can't slap them anyhow. If a woman is verbally assaulting you, nobody is forcing you to hang around to listen to her insults. A true gentleman with a healthy self-esteem will keep his emotions in check and get-out. At the very worst, he'll insult the woman back. I just can't imagine what a woman will say to me that'll make me physically assault her; words only hurt you if you let them in my opinion.Shut up my friend. Is US better than your father's house? Nonsense! |
They should have even used live bullets. What are those people going to look at? Abi dat place na cinema hall? |
She was pulled out of one of the affected buildings. No one in that flight survived. |
prince_onx: You need to look/read very closely! There was no single recist comment there!Blind man. There are many and I just got 5 thumbs-up for taking one of those racist assholes to the cleaners. |
azpekuliar: Nigerians and their varied versions of events. You "saw the plane trying to stop mid air". Its not a helicopter for God's sake!He probably meant an engine stall. |
Uyi Iredia: I thoughts parents should be smarter by now nah ! Don't put all your eggs in one basket. We all were witnesses to what happened in 2007.Which kind yarn be dis, eh guy? |
anuel4luv: The ill-fated Dana plane had been under repair for several weeks and the airline's station manager protested its use but the Indian mgt insisted it should fly!>:O. The German stations are reporting that the plane which just crashed should never have taken off becos of its write off state and that its a wonder the plane even made it to lagos!>:O >:OI have always said it; the owners of foreign-owned firms found culpable in disasters like this should be sent to the firing squad. If it was in China, they would already have been rounded up. |
And to think I was supposed to fly to Enugu, then to Lagos and back to Abuja this week. Na road all the way for me o! Ha! Which kain temptation be this one? |
Clemzy16: I'm a very good cook. I only knw hw to prepare indomie. LolzHmm. U are in trouble.. ![]() |
Ever since FRSC tried to rip Nigerians off with the N50,000 number plate, I do not sympathise with them. Not them or police or anyone. If anyone of them gets beaten, they should take it as occupational hazard. Shikena! |
I know how to cook, and very well too; Gave my wife a shocker when she wanted to use it as a bargaining chip during a disagreement. The woman just left for work and refused to cook. She came back and met me demolishing pounded yam and banga soup in the evening. Of course I made sure I put the soup pot in the freezer so she would have to defrost it herself. Now that is one less weapon for her to use against me when yawwa dey. Guys, if you do not know how to cook, I am very sorry for you. |
Chubhie: Watching on Ghana tv nw. The cargo plane was coming from Nigeria. And your point is...? |
Myself2: ^^^^It is your own father that will eat Sh.it. You think you can hide under the cloak of anonymity? Can you walk up to the guy one on one and abuse his father? Nonsense! |
