I was very much close to adulthood in 1987 and I can tell you it was one of the worst years in living memory at the time. That was the year Babangida banned the importation of stockfish (the cheapest source of protein at the time for poor people) and people had to start eating stockfish head. By then, the Naira was already hitting N20 to $1 (an all-time low).

It was very clear as at 1987 the country had started to drift once more under the new regime after a positive start.

So mr man, nobody is getting carried away. Those who were very aware knew the country was not in good shape.

You guys should understand that winners chapel is everywhere and the church cannot pay fat salary. In my LGA alone, there are up to 15 branches, and most villagers pay N10 as offering. N10 or N100 every Sunday cannot pay fat salary.
Their pastors make extra cash from other things like naming ceremonies, pastors gifts etc.
When bashing, also remember that the church does maintenance and other things.

Igboho's wife is a German citizen. Germany does not allow for dual citizenship, so Igboho's wife must have renounced her Nigerian citizenship long time ago.

There is a difference between dealing with a German citizen, and dealing with a Nigerian whose passport was seized and was found in possession of the passport of another country whose citizenship you do not hold.

Let this be a lesson to all those in the Travel section asking how to get the passport of another country when you know you are not a citizen of that country. It is a highly criminal offence with heavy international penalties. People go to jail for a long time for this. I hope the mods in that section are watching.

There is zero tolerance for lackadaisical pastors in Winners. I have worked with a pastor in a foreign country that grew a church from 10 persons to nearly 200 members in a year. The guy even had a job, but boy, this guy was a real pastor. Praying, evangelism, counselling, he was there at the forefront.

Naira cards no longer work in Ghana ATMs, even the ones owned by Nigerian banks. Get a dollar card if you do not want to get stranded.
