bashtee09: please ignore all grammatical errors
I finished service around march this year and i stayed with my brother in lagos who is a site engineer after service, he was the one taking care of my feeding and giving me money for upkeep, since getting g a job has been really hard for me.
Fast forward to June my mum went on my behalf to one of the well to do man in our community and narrated my ordeal to him, the man asked me to bring my CV the next morning, when I got their the following morning the man gave me his complimentary card and told me to go with my CV and credentials to the company on the complimentary card that I will be interviewed that same day.
when I got to the company I met like 6 people who came to collect there appointment letter, when i met the GM of the company the man said the person that directed me to come didn't inform him of anything, he called the man when I was with him but he didn't pick, he asked me to drop my CV and credentials that I will be contacted after he speak with the man.
I told the man what happened when I got back home, he said I will be following him to the Company the next day, when we got to the company I was given the post of Factory assistant and I was asked to resumed work the following week.
when I resumed work the following week I got to know the man that gave me the link is the chairman of the company and the company is a still a new company which is still under construction, we were all employed to assist the Indians who came from their country for the installation of the machines that will be use for production. the work we were being assigned to is very stressful let's just say we are working like a casual worker(labourer) we break strong concretes with hammer carry big irons and do all sort of work a labourer do, the work is very stressful and we works form Monday to Saturday (8-5).
I explained all what I have been facing at this job to my brother and this week he called me and told me to ask if their is a future plan for us at the company when they begin production, but I told him I don't know about the future plans of the company for us.
He said the reason he was asking me is to know if he should open a PAGA(Money agent) shop which I will be managing pending the time I get a better job or I will continue working at the company but I am a little bit confused I don't know if I should continue working with this company despite the stress involves and hopes for a better position when they start production or I should leave and start working as a Money agent.
please help a confused brother. Guy, take it from me as a guy who has been on this earth for a long time. I watched the 1978 world cup as a kid so you should have some idea about my age. There is something called "being loyal". The man in question has taken you as his boy based on his being an acquaintance to your mum. He has placed you there as a test. He wants to see whether you are faithful in little. Read what the bible says about those who are faithful in little. I left one of my ogas back then in awful circumstances. Later found out he had strong links to a research department in a University in Europe I wanted to go to for further studies. Needless to say that because that bridge was burnt, I did not use that opportunity. My life may have been different now, but I thank God still that I made it as an entrepreneur and I have managed my relationships better. Do not fall to the temptation of leaving that job, hard as it is. The man may want to make you his CEO in maybe 5 years down the road, but needs you to learn how things work from ground up. If you leave now, you would have disappointed him and that bridge would have been burnt. Endure the work. Great men all started from way down below and climbed to the top. You may do the PAGA stuff later as a side hustle. But do not leave. |

Jeezuzpick: Low calibre at close range.
Entry wound at back of head.
My opinion?
Pistol shot from behind.
Unless he turned his back on a threat, which is really dumb for an officer of his experience. Yes, that wound was created by a low velocity round and not a high velocity AK-47 round. |

matify83: You don't retreat from a mob with your back turned against them. This is one of the tenets of crowd control for law enforcement agencies.
This man was definitely killed by friendly fire until proven otherwise.
The entry (occipital) and exit (temporal) wounds speaks volumes!!!!! If you had studied ballistics, you would know than an exit wound is far larger than an entry wound because of the transmission of kinetic forces from the impact, especially if this was as a result of a high velocity round such as is used in an AK-47 rifle. So I do not see any volumes being spoken from the wounds I see there. |

Channels TV is an irresponsible station. How do you send a journalist to a combat zone to cover news without a ballistic vest? A Level II or Level IIIA would have protected him. One would have thought they would have learnt from the death of their correspondent in Kano in a bomb attack. Apparently they have not. |

Dude will probly be running his shits behind bars..
He I'll even get loyal cops and VIP treatment by inmates.. The inmates will be amazed and privileged to be sharing a block with CHAPO himself.
And lastly, many will go down with him..the cops, the judges, the rats, the snitches and the rivals..
Be ready for fireworks anytime soon He aint running shit. Manuel Noriega (a former president of a country) was arrested, extradited and he died like a nobody. El Chapo is history. He will rot in prison forever. Many people do not know the meaning of a SuperMax. The guy (Ramzi Youssef) who planned the 1993 World Trade Center bombing is there. Ted Kaczynski, otherwise known as the Unabomber is there serving 8 consecutive life sentences. Rober Hansson, a former agent who worked for the FBI for 25 years and was found to be spying for Russia is there. Terry Nichols, one half of the Oklahoma City 1995 bombing duo (Timothy McVeigh has been executed) is there. Even our own Farouk Abdulmutallab (the underwear bomber) is there. Those who go there are on life sentences with no possibility of parole. Anyone who gets sent there never comes out. |

Princedapace: My brother, all u are saying still doesnt change the fact that a person has right to decide if she can be attended to by a male of a female practitioner.
It is done all over the world. It is ur choice. Humans have their own peculiar issues. If she is not comfortable with a male doctor handling her organ, so be it. Not an issue. Some do ask for a female doctor to be present. Bro, she has not done anything wrong. It is done all over the world. It is a choice...granted. But that does not change the scan type does it? How does a doctor performing his duty now become molestation? |

Princedapace: He would have been dealt with in a developed world. The woman has right to choose who handles her vital organs. It is normal. Do u know if she gets turned on via that means? U don't know her body. U can't judge her. The man lacks professional acts. As u can see, it was stated that other staff members know his antics. These doctors have molested women so much bro. I know what I'm saying. The husband should press buttons. You don't know what you are saying. That scan is a routine scan done in all gyneacology clinics...by male and female doctors. So I don't get what all this hullabaloo is all about. Is the man's wife's vagina more special than that of other women doing those scans? Please! |

Christianity Etc › Re: Religion Is Not The Reason For Backwardness In Africa, Our Leaders Are by stagger: 8:14am On Jul 21, 2019 |
Reference: The problem with 'religion' though is the shutting down of critical reasoning amongst its adherents which causes extreme behaviour that perpetuates bad leadership such as a tendency to violence on one extreme and extreme docility on the other. That is why the argument of mixing religion with state affairs and politics always arises which should not be.
Religion is meant to enhance the inherent quality of citizenship which reflects in the quality of leadershio. Without good quality citizens you cannot have good quality leaders. Who chooses leaders for goodness sake, who empowers and sustains them... the citizens, the religious citizens of course. No one can simply rise up and take leadership without the suppprt of the average citizen.
To have good quality citizens you need to have an educated and inspired citizenship. These empirical values stand against what most functions of modern day religion projects. When and how does faith and reality meet and mix. How can you build a better now if your eyes are set ONLY ON HEAVEN OR THE THEREAFTER. Ws the ministry of Jesus Christ here on earth not a prime example of how you can build a better now and yet have a promise of a better eternity? Hungry people were fed, sick were healed...He even paid his tax when demanded. So what are you on about? |

He has just a few years ahead of him before he leaves you alone in this world to continue the suffering. You on the other hand have several years to achieve a lot and you're concerned about an old man. They have sown a seed into their future. But blind men like you who know nothing about the world of the spirit can never understand. |

Anyone is free to make whatever decision suits him. Reality is always the best teacher I think you have a serious problem with comprehension. We are not talking about how much he will make. We are talking about him getting compensation. I have also asked you to show how you arrived at a compensation demand of N50,000: you are yet to do so. The reason is because you simply do not have an idea. You just threw up a figure without knowing how compensation figures are arrived at. In case you do not know how compensation laws work, I think you should read more or consult a lawyer to educate you on the matter. I am not here to argue about what he can and cannot make as that is not even the issue: something you seem to have a problem understanding. I say this very seriously as herdsmen are causing rampage all over the country, destroying farms, killing and kidnapping farmers, etc. Many people here will suffer losses as a result. Without a knowledge of how they can seek compensation after engaging the law enforcement agents, how do they recoup their investments? This is not a personality contest so please stop skating the topic of compensation and address the issue squarely. |

Tell us how you arrived at your 50k. At least I presented a standpoint with an illustration on which the fellow can seek compensation. Share with us from your wealth of wisdom how you arrived at N50,000 for compensation after the fellow took the pains, time, effort, money, and all to plant his 2 plots. |
Agriculture › Re: Maize Farmers Only by stagger: 7:45pm On Jul 16, 2019 |
ifedola28: 50k is a fair price for maize on 2 plots of land 50K; Is that for transport or what? A hectare (15 plots) can take 50,000 stands, which is about 6,600 stands per plot. Make a loss allowance for 1,600 stands, and he would get 5,000 stands per plot. Assuming one stand produces 1 cob, that is 5,000 cobs. Let us even divide this by 2, and we get 2,500 cobs. An ear of corn has a retail price of N50. Therefore, he should be demanding at least N125,000 in compensation. Frankly, he needs to demand at least N350,000 using the calculation above for a full 5000 stands. This is to be broken down as follows: - money spent on development (N50,000) - N250,000 compensation for lost revenue from fully developed corn PLUS compensation for personal loss that results from unavailability of the future revenue (e.g. what if a family member gets sick and no money to pay for treatment as a result of lost revenue from destroyed crops)? That is how these things are demanded for. The Fulani guys should be prepared to produce ONE fully matured female cow as compensation. The guy should demand this in full with no iota of reduction. |

Go to Ministry of Health and take the bloody vaccine. That's what the yellow card is for: to show you have been vaccinated against yellow fever so you do not catch it in a foreign country and bring back home, or you do not take the virus from here to another country if you have been exposed.
Yellow fever is like Ebola: no cure, but it has a vaccine.

I wont be suprised if the killers are arrested tomorrow and they all happen to be igbos.
I see this death as a plot by the PDP to use it and get sympathy and endorsement from the SW as per 2023
I also see it as a plot to justify the rejection of RUGA by Ndigbo
To the best of my knowledge this murder was not carried out by herders. You are a product of a genetic disorder, that is why your brain is full of sawdust from time immemorial on this forum. For the avoidance of doubt, we in the Niger Delta are totally opposed to any Ruga or anything resembling it in any form or guise and unlike the Igbos who hardly match words with action, we have shown that we are as prepared and as capable as can be to resist any form of invasion from any alien ethnicities. So if you think the Igbos are the problem of you and your herder apologists, you better reconsider and reconsider strongly. |
