Pistotita: I deliberately kept off this thread because of this particular post of yours sir just to see if anyone will support you. It is time to address it. This post and that of importation of armyworm to Nigeria through seeds tell me you are a farmer who is likely to have human compassion by adhering to principles laid down for our safety. Can you see that everyone ignored because application of Alfasafe does not affect their crop yield, and cannot kill armyworm. To these farmers, it is a useless addition to the cost of production. Hehehehe. Why will they care sir? Tell me why? But this product you brought out which is as the outcome of partnership between IITA and some other companies is a must for all farmers in many countries. If any farmer is caught without applying it, he is spending time behind bars. I mean what has Nigeria done to deserve what we are passing through? Who cur.sed Nigeria?
Like you said, it is a fungi in the soil called Aflatoxin , (and I strongly believe it was imported to Nigeria through smu.ggled seeds) that affects some crops, but that of corn is extremely high. A terrible toxin. I don't eat corn again. Never, and never. 100% of corn sold fresh are filled with Aflatoxin, but the simple solution is to use what you prescribed here. See, they will not prescribe this, they will not buy it, and they do not want to know about it. But chemicals.....their ears stretch like the antennas of rabbits. Hehehehe. They must make sure they draw the details of chemicals out of ones mouth. You don't tell them, they are filled with rage. They bounce on you from no where, and they build up irrelevant issues against you. I have been victim for many years, but I stopped that no.nsense. Let them go to places. Who cares about them?
My oga sir, I hope you get where I am coming from now when I cried out about chemical prescription here. Dem no send at all. The rate of cancer is getting too high in Nigeria. Terribly getting high. The only language farmers who do this understand is violence and counter stubb.ornness that is more powerful than theirs. I am obliged to cry out to tell everyone about this ma.dness. They are desperately wic.ked. Any farmer who does not apply aflasafe but is aware of its necessity is a de.vil. It is simple as ABC. If such farmer comes online to face me, I will face him back. If I show rasc.ality to stop such cra.zy farmer from ki.lling Nigerians, I am justified. If we all keep silent because some feel we need to compose ourselves well online in their own definition, then, our life expectancy will soon drop to 30 years of age in Nigeria.
Sir, this is one of my mission in this Agric thread. To show farmers that chemicals can be used, but we must follow the rules. When the soil is treated well, we will need less chemicals. And when we use products like Alfasafe, we are protecting ourselves. Gradually, the toxins will be eradicated, and we can put to shame the wicked people who developed the fungi in their laboratory just to sell their products. It may even be the people who created Alfasafe that developed Alfatoxin...hehehehe. That is the irony of life.
Aflatoxin is associated with stunted growth, delayed development, liver damage, and liver cancer. Children are more affected, and animals have zero immunity to it. So, no animal feed producer will ever use corn seed with Aflatoxin. But I doubt farmers formulating feed in Nigeria are aware. They return to complain feed formulation does not work, whereas it's the Aflatoxin in the corn that messes them up anytime they formulate feed. I know many farmers who grow corn to make feed for their poultry, but at the end, their feed are of poor quality. The only issue was Aflatoxin in the corn they used, and they come online to ru.bbish feed formulation.
Sir, some farmers are deaf. This gentleman approach you use is like you are wasting your Internet data plan. What they need is force. In fact, the average Nigerian needs to be pushed. Police and the authority are not exempted. By the time this cancer campaign is serious and people start shouting on farmers and the police, thenafter, many farmers will start compiling. But not until many have tasted prison corn made with special aflasafe. Hehehe.
I am always afraid to eat fresh corn. It scares me so much despite I love it so much. The fungus in question is Aspergillus Nigra. It is black in colour and produces the toxin known as Aflatoxin. I have used it and I believe it costs N5,000 for a hectare's application. Aspergillus also affects and produces aflatoxin in groundnuts. |

Then by the next match that coincidence does not repeat itself you call him a flop. Thats why we have so much mediocrity in this country esp in music. Coincidence? You know nothing about football. Georges Makanjes was on a yellow card. When Chukwueze was introduced, it caused real concern on Seedorf's face. Watch the clip again and see how he went to talk to Kluivert about it on the bench. As a result of that substitution, see what happened: a) Makanjes was substituted because Seedorf knew the chances of him being turned by Chukwueze was high. Makanjes would have had to tackle and he most likely would have been sent off. He was subbed for Aguissi who was a less effective marker. b) Knowing that Aguissi was going to have problems marking a quicker, faster and more masterful dribbler in Chukwueze, an extra player was drafted to help Aguissi mark Chukwueze, unlike having just one defender in Makanjes who clearly marked off Moses Simon. Deploying an extra defender meant a distortion of the original defensive formation of Cameroon and this is what opened the spaces for Musa, Iwobi and Ighalo to start incursions from the middle. Led to our 3rd goal. Seedorf showed clearly that he is still an apprentice coach. Gernot Rohr outsmarted him tactically. |

Rugan Fulani. Using Jigawa State as a Case Study.
By OMA | 30-06-2019 | Food |
Farmers and Herdsmen can co-exist in peace.
Rugan Fulani.
Nature of my work takes me from state to state within the confines of the Country in the River Niger Area called Nigeria.
Talking strictly from experience from my state to state visit, I was fascinated by my discovery is Jigawa State.
I worked in Auyo Local Government of Jigawa State very close to Hadejia Local Government.
Auyo has a 52 kilometer Dam built as far back as the Shehu Shagari Regime.
This Dam is for no other thing but for availability of water for all year round farming.
Dangote happens to be building a Rice mill along the Auyo road.
I made mention of that so you know how much of massive Rice farming goes on in Auyo LGA in Jigawa State.
Let me categorically state that I have never in my life seen large farms as I saw in Jigawa State.
Jigawa produces Local Rice, Maize. Millet, Wheat etc and also has about the largest population of cattles I ever saw all my life.
What is my point and where am I driving at?
Cultivating this large Hectares of land isnt just done manually but by some locally mechanised mechanisms.
Big hefty cattles and Bulls are used to till the soil in massive expansive lands.
The cows in question works on farmlands without eating a grain of farm produce.
Becos their mouths are sealed off. Because they have standing laws and orders within the community protecting both farmers and herdsmen. When I dug further for more enquries, I was told that there are laid down punishments for any cow caught eating a single crop belonging to any farmer.
They have local policemen that arrests any cow that eats from anybody's farm till the cow owner comes to pay for whatever the cow had eaten.
Cow get sense for jigawa ooo. Seriously.
The Truth is, I was marveled by my discovery in Jigawa.
No trespass.
I can categorically say there is no state in Nigeria that has Cattle population as much as Jigawa and also there are no farming communities as large as those I saw in Jigawa State.
How come then Farmers and Herdsmen Clashes are never reported from Jigawa?
Probably because they Understand themselves in terms of Language and Religion. 2 and most importantly would be legislation.
The existing laws In these local government in Jigawa would Amuse you.
Cows dont Miss behave in Jigawa.
Jigawa Cows dont go about eating farmers produce and this I experienced first hand.
Coming to the "Ruga" issue. There are so many Ruga Fulani in Jigawa State already and it is a model that works, at least with commitment and understanding from both farmers and herdsmen we can have a violent free Nigeria where Herdsmen and Farmers live together in Peace.
Jigawa State is a good case study of what Herdsmen and Farmers harmonious relationships should look like.
Lets give peace a chance as there is no price too high to pay for peace even if it means establishing Ruga
If Ruga would bring lasting peace between Herdsmen and Farmers then let it be and lets stop dragging and politicising what shouldnt be politicised.
Life is so sacred and so sacrosanct and nobody should lose their life as a result of clashes between herdsmen and Farmers.
Lets value life. Lets give peace a chance.
OMA writing for www.omascope.com Mr man or whoever you are: Ruga will never be accepted in the south. NEVER! Let it remain in the north where it belongs. Tell whoever is paying you for this propaganda to shift and park well. |

ladiesreject: I live not far from Abuja. In fact, I visit Abuja quite often. At one point in time, I stayed there. But to think I've never heard of this man and his sexcapades until today is surprising. Of course I've heard of COZA, but Biodun Fatoyinbo? Never heard of him.
I read some excerpts from the interview she gave and also read the statement the so called pastor issued out. Judging from the two sides of the story, this is my verdict.
Pastor Biodon had sex with Busola. At the time, it was consensual. She consented to it because she was naive and he took advantage of it. She was seventeen, still gullible. So to the best of my knowledge, that's RAPE. Why? Because she hasn't attain the age of consent. She wasn't mature enough to decide if she really wanted to do it or not. She just allowed herself to be smashed because the smasher is a young, handsome and rich dude.
I think she later realized she wouldn't have allowed him fvck her now that she's matured and able to take decisions for herself, hence the RAPE story.
And honestly, she's right and she has a case. But where is the evidence?
In conclusion, Fatoyinbo is a pervert and an idiot. Fvcking a minor in her parents house? That's just too wicked. Don't tell me it's still an allegation because I know what all these so called pastor do to the sheeples.
#freethesheeple You were making sense until you mentioned that fool daddy freeze's word. This is not about freeing any sheeple. This is about addressing the moral decay in our society where there is a failure of parenting everywhere that things that were unheard of when I was growing up are all commonplace today. Where and when I was a teenager, the idea that a man can have unfettered access to a teenage girl alone in the same room was an unfathomable situation, let alone hear that sex was involved. If there is anyone I blame (assuming this story is true because I was not there), it is Busola's parents. For me, how in the world would I ever consider bringing a girl into my father's house? Even once I visited my girlfriend (now wife) at home and her dad came back and met me sitting in the parlour drinking coke, I nearly regretted myself and the day I was born. What kind of environment can parents provide to have your daughter being accessed by men at that age? For me as a parent, this is my greatest concern. |

tactius: EXACTLY
Finally, someone has the cojones to tell the truth.
I should point out that the Emir has been saying this for years (along with Okonjo Iweala, he backed GEJ in 2012 over subsidy removal).
The truth is, WE HAVE TO STOP PAYING SUBSIDES for power and electricity. Subsides have been going up because the number of Nigerians buying cars, generators, etc...is going up.
Subsides are also the reason why we cannot build new refienreis and attract investment in the downstream sector...as well as the power sector...because who is going to refine fuel at N165 (NNPC figures) and sell it below N150?? Who is going to come and invest in pwoer sector and be colecting bills at 30% the cost of power production??
Who is going to accept government that forces him or her to sell goods at a loss, and only pays you the difference between the government price and the price you bought the goods at?
And the cabals are being fuelled because quite simply...government polices force them to engage in sharp practices like smuggling fuel across the border to earn a profit...and make claims for products not improted.
Meanhwile, oil our major earner is at $80 and below. We need it at $140 per barrel to be able to run an economy WITHOUT BORROWING.
So, we have no choice. Subsidies must go. YES....we will be paying N300 and above for fuel (which by the way is what they pay in Niger, Cameroon, even Benin...and all these countries are as poor as we are...and Niger is even poorer...and they all produce oil). Yes, electricity bills will shoot up to N30000 and above per month for a one room apartment...but we haven't got any choice.
Our budget cannot sustain us.
So, let's face facts, YES....LET US FIGHT CORRUPTION AS WELL, LET APC STOP BEING PARTIAL....but the truth is SUBSIDY HAS TO GO...unless you got N20 TRILLION extra for Nigeria every year...somewhere.
In 2012....Nigerians foolishly rejected GEJ's good idea of removal of subsidy...partial yes...but better than not removing it. Thanks to that we missed out in investment...and in job creation, refinery building (yes...we could have had more refinereis built than just Dangote) and even sorting out the power problem.
Note...Any one quoting me to insult me, or curse me will be REPORTED TO THE MODS. You are free to disagree with me, but please be polite. Thank you Yes, I disagree with your reasoning. In those countries you mentioned, do they have the kind of incessant blackouts that we have here which warrants people to be spending so much on petrol? |
