That was in 2013, 4 years before Folarin, son of Nigeria's richest woman, billonaire Mrs Folorunsho Alakija, took Nazanin Jafarian to be his second wife in a super lavish wedding, in England.

Folarin had lost his first wife to cancer.

Rob met Naza through his best friend Brandon Kaplan and the duo became an item. This was after Rob's break from former flame, Rita Ora.

I learned in a very hard way that Nigerian family standard is so over rated.

Women! Before you start fighting your husbands or breaking up your homes because of 'family ', please make sure they are worth it .

Most times people tend to put their Mother, Father, brothers and sisters before their husbands, friends and strangers. Why? Because they are considered family right? But do you know that not everyone that is related by blood is considered family.

My new definition of family is that family member or friend that has my interest at heart, that friend, neighbor, or colleague who calls to check up on me on a regular basis, that friend, neighbor, or colleague who goes out of their way to make me happy.

True life story:

A young girl comes to America at a young age. This young girl is the first surviving child of her widowed mother so it's been hammered in to her head that she has to work hard to take care of her widowed mom and siblings who are also very young and in school.

This girl is married with kids, secures a minimum wage job in America sends little money to mom and siblings even when it was not convenient for her and her family.

This girl decides to go to school and after four years she graduated and became a Registered Nurse. Damn! Life was good now. She tells her husband it's time to file for her mom to come to the United States.

Mind you Mom is in her early fifties always sick, always in the hospital, infact Mom is still finding it difficult to cope after her husband's death. The girl's husband bluntly refused that her mom wasn't coming to their house. The girl insisted and went ahead to file for her mom.

Immigration process was a bit slow and she came up with an idea to invite her mom over while the green card was being processed. As luck May have it her mom got a visa to the United States. The girl was so excited; she bought a $3000.00 plane ticket for her mom to come spend Christmas with them. Mind you this was with zero support of the husband.

Mom arrives the United States and boom there's problem and chaos in the house. Husband and Mom are not getting along. Everyday it is one fight or the other. Husband and wife were at logger heads. Meanwhile this couple had their own issues before but Mom's present escalated everything.

Before you know it husband had filed for divorce. This girl lost her job, went through a lot of stress. Finally mom went back to Nigeria after 6 months.

Good news, luck shines on this girl and she met the man of her dreams who stood by her and supported her. She gets another job and she bought a ticket for her mom to come visit for another 6 months. Life became good again.

Mom was called for her interview and was issued a green card. This girl gets married and has a baby. Baby was just a few months old mom requested that her daughter pays her salary or she go finds another job outside.

The girl was like mom you need to chill we're taking care of you, buying you stuffs that you need, sending money to your kids in Nigeria so what's the problem.

To cut a long story short this girl comes home at 8am one morning after working a night shift only to find out that her Mom has packed all her stuff and moved out of her house leaving her 20 months old child laying in bed by herself in the whole house.

She calls her mom to inquire what happened only for her mom to tell her that she has moved on with her life. That she got a job as a live in Nanny in a different city.

Shocking right?

Now tell me will it be wrong to call Child protective services on such a mom? Will it be wrong to disown such a mom? Will it be wrong to disown siblings or family members who directly or indirectly contributed or instigated such actions?

Tomorrow someone will come and preach the usual forgive and forget BS. Tomorrow someone will come and preach the usual she's still your mom bullcrap.

An Irish woman devastated because her Nigerian husband, only known as Jude, allegedly used her for papers, maltreated her and took her daughter away from her recently unleashed terror on a Nigerian shop in Dublin.

The obviously heartbroken woman had stormed the shop owned by a Nigerian woman named Cynthia and destroyed the whole place because Jude visits it regularly for shopping.

She is the custodian of her autistic son who is pictured with her in the clip while her daughter was with her Nigerian husband.

It is alleged that the she met Jude, an immigrant from Nigeria years back. When they both met and tied-up a relationship, she wasted no time and within a year, she fell pregnant fairly quickly and thought everything was going to be cock and curry.

The day after her childbirth in the hospital, her boyfriend reportedly marched her straight from the hospital unit to the Birth Certificate Registry office to quickly insert his name on the Birth Certificate as by then his visa to remain in Ireland had only few days to expire.

By doing so, it would enable him to extend his rights to remain as a parent to an Irish-born child or married to an EU spouse.

In this recent video of ‘no-shame’ by the lady, she eventually snapped because she had had enough. From the clip, it is evident that she doesn’t look stable.

Some other reports add she stormed that shop because she strongly believed that the owner and proprietress of the shop assisted her partner in abating and conniving by hiding her daughter away from her.

Before the arrival of the police (Garda), the Irish woman pulled down a couple of standing shelves and some of the goods lay scattered on the floor.

The Garda must have also noticed that she is indeed a troubled mother that needs some form of assistance because she was unstable and unable to explain herself throughout her questioning.

Reports say the owners of the shop declined pressing any charges for the damage caused to parts of the shop building and goods.

For his contribution towards the educational development of children, as well as affecting lives with his knowledge, talent and service to humanity, Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Oluranti Adebule, has commended the author of newly launched children’s book series, Mr Olusegun Akande.

At the official launch of a new book series titled, Amazing Adventures of Izi and Larry the Dinosaur, published by Quramo Publishing under its Mango Books imprint; which took place at Quintessence, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, the Deputy Governor who was represented by the Director General, Office of Quality Assurance, Ministry of Education, Mrs Ronke Soyombo, said the book will serve as a good resource for children, parents, guardians and school authorities.

“I commend the passion and courage of the author for coming up with series of books, which signifies the rebirth of pride and passion in Nigeria and African history, culture and religion. The launch of these books has also confirmed your unrelenting efforts and contribution towards children's educational development in our nation”, she said.

She also described the book as highly educative books that will serve as good and rich resourceful companions for professionals, teachers, principals, librarians and students, as she recommends the series to the public and encouraged parents to get copies for their children.

Also speaking, Chief Executive of Standard Chartered Bank, Mrs Bola Adesola said, "this is an encouragement to children and a welcome development, because many Nigerian children are being taken abroad at an early stage without the knowledge about their country".

She said, "schools no longer teach history but books like these help to teach Nigerian culture, as it is easy to read , fun to understand, and helps children to connect with their culture. Segun has done a fantastic job in coming up with this. He should put it on social media such as Amazon, I-books, so that children can enjoy the graphics in it”.

Speaking on the book, the author, Olusegun Akande said "Amazing Adventures of Izi and Larry the Dinosaur tells the story of two very good friends, eight-year-old Izi and magical, flying dinosaur, Larry - who lives in a zoo.

Together, they go on wonderful adventures in which Larry teaches Izi about different ethnic groups and cultures; they see the world as a kaleidoscope of many customs and practices held together by tolerance, kindness, and understanding. This unique series comes in a box set of five intriguing stories".

When asked about his motivation behind this exciting new children's book series, the author, Mr. Olusegun Akande explained, "the objectives of these books are three-fold.
First of all, I want to create a new generation of Nigerians and Africans that are proud of their heritage. I'm very concerned about the poor knowledge of our history and origins, and as a result, our lack of pride in heritage.
By educating our children via the history of nations across Africa, we stand a far better chance of fostering future generations of dedicated, hardworking, innovative, and progressive Africans.

Secondly, I want children to grow up understanding, respecting, and embracing Nigerians / Africans of different cultures and beliefs. Only by doing so, can we have unity and hence progress. And finally, these books are designed to encourage children to be true to themselves”.

The Marketing Director of Izi and Larry Literature, Ms. Toyosi Olatunji added that “these series of books will cover countries right across Africa. In other words, Izi and Larry will go on adventures across many African countries. Africa has huge potential; and by educating and enlightening our children, we stand a far better chance of actualising that potential".

Earlier on today, Laura Ikeji and her husband, Ogbonnaya Kanu, took to Instagram to debunk rumours he was once married to the mother of his two kids, Hannah Turay.

In the statement the expecting couple released, Ogbonna said:

“People, I just want to let you all know that I was not married prior to my marriage to Laura I’m happy to be married to Laura my wife. I have two lovely kids but was not married. I’m cordial with the mother of my two wonderful children but we were not together when I met my wife Laura is my only wife and I love her God bless you all.”

A Nigerian born Horward University graduate named Boluwatife Aiki-Raji has been offered a full-time position from Twitter to work as their Software Engineer.

Prior to attending Howard University, Bolu attended a technical school after taking a year off from graduating high school at Olashore International School in Nigeria. It was while he attended his technical school Bolu ignited his passion for computer science creating his first website.

” I met two wonderful people at Howard who are now my roommates, Errol Grannum and Barry Harris, they along with his mentor, Emmanuel Ademuwagun and their interest in computer science spurred the change of my major,” Bolu said, as he explained the birth of his passion for computer science.

According to HBCUBuzz.com, while attending Howard, Bolu was exposed to various opportunities in his career path that any student would consider an honor to receive.

Bolu served as a Google EDGE Participant his freshman year and continued to move full speed ahead.

Trier, a recruiter from Twitter had known Bolu since his freshman year and so this made him able to sell himself and his interest in the company. Bolu then went through a rigorous interview process including one with CEO Jack Dorsey; soon after he received the offer.

Bolu describes it as a wonderful feeling to be offered this position.

“Twitter is a wonderful company and I have met amazing people there. I love my team at Twitter and I feel right at home with them.”
He was sold on the idea of working at Twitter because the company has started to take necessary steps to close the diversity and inclusion gap something that is a prevalent issue in the workforce.

“I know the position at Twitter will give me an opportunity to help other computer science majors like myself sometime down the line. I am also happy because I believe I have made my parents proud.”

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has denied being mentally unstable, cheating on her estranged husband Lanre Gentry, neglecting her parents in an open letter she just released to the public.

Larry Gentry, the businessman husband of actress, Mercy Aigbe, had alleged that his wife and mother of his son, is mentally unstable. He had said in an interview:
“Mercy has mental issues and I am the one who knows how many places we’ve been to so she can remain stable. I have papers to prove these.”
Invoking biblical curses on himself, the auto merchant had sworn that he has never beaten Mercy in their seven years of marriage despite the fact that he has caught her several times frolicking and fornicating with different men.

In an open letter addressed to him, Mercy denied all his accusations, saying it breaks her heart that she has to call him out because she can't understand how a man she loved will want to destroy her with lies.

The 4th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of FCMB Group Plc held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Shell Hall, Muson Centre Onikan, Lagos.

Shareholders of the Group applauded the financial institution for its resilience, dynamism and the enhanced performance recorded last year despite the challenging operating environment.

The shareholders also unanimously approved the payment of a cash dividend of 10 kobo per ordinary share, which translates to N1.98 billion, for the year ended December 31, 2016.

FCMB Group is the holding company of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Limited, FCMB
Capital Markets Limited, CSL Stockbrokers Limited and CSL Trustees Limited.

The audited accounts of the Group for last year showed a profit before tax (PBT) of N16.3 billion, an increase of 109% compared to the N7.8 billion for the same period in 2015. Profit after tax also rose to N14.3 billion as against N4.8 billion prior year. Gross revenue as at the end of December 2016 was up by 16% to N176.35 billion from N152.51 billion in the previous year.

Analysts are of the opinion that with FCMB Group Plc’s focus on effective portfolio optimisation, increased momentum in retail banking, digital channels coupled with its culture of excellence in products and service delivery, the Group and its subsidiaries are well positioned to improve on their remarkable performance and value addition to stakeholders.

The AGM had in attendance the Founder of the FCMB Group, Otunba Michael Olasubomi Balogun (CON), the Group Chief Executive and other Directors of the Group, senior management teams of the respective subsidiaries, as well as shareholders, representatives of regulatory bodies and the media.

Sinzu aka Sauce Kid aka SMG, one of Nigeria's most talented rappers, had been radio silent on his social media handles for over 5 months now.

Yesterday fans were shocked when his friend, rapper Willy Bang posted a never-before-seen 2016 mugshot of the rapper and captioned it:

In the post which Willybang has since deleted, Saucekid's mugshot was booked on the 26th of July, 2016 in Idaho, Ada County Sherriff's Office allegedly for Grand Theft.

Hours after the photo went viral, Saucekid has reacted to the scandal. According to him, his family, friends and fans are the last people he wanted to disappoint right now, so he kept things on a need to know basis with those in his immediate circle. However, he's taking care of what's important right now, and working on new music as usual.

This isn’t the first time Sinzu has had problems with the US authorities. Back in 2014 a mugshot emerged online showing that he had been arrested for forgery and unlawful possession of a firearm in 2013.

Then there were real big accusations that he was the man US police authorities were looking for in Houston for withdrawing $300 from a female victim's bank account at an ATM in southwest Houston.

The female victim, 38, from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, told police she noticed unauthorized transactions being made with her debit card. She quickly filed a report with Houston Police Department. They then released surveillance video of the suspect inside a Walgreen's store on 8535 South Braeswood on March 2.

Sinzu has denied being the one on the surveillance video and deleted his Instagram page back then. Now, a new mugshot is here, many months after his disappearance from social media.
