All I am saying is this country has wasted all lot of talent because they push best brains to science classes and after graduation. They provide job for a hundred out of the million science student. Most scientists I know today are not working as scientists. instead they are in agro alied, art, or banking stuffs as a career path. Being a science student does not end in the university. Don't for a moment fathom in your mind anything worthwhile will come out. I know at some point everyone seem to ignore it but when something is exposed too much in your face, it gets so occupied in your mind and so metamorphose to something you begin to think and ponder until soon you want to give it a try. You are already possesing it symptoms already. How would you think something like this could be that real, yes match fixing are real but even at that the situation is not as simple and profitable as it sounds. if it was so profitable at all atleast for the main time, you will start hearing testimony before you decide to create a thread. The seller wouldn't need to stress themselves this much. Fifa and sport betting are seriously fighting against match fixing at all cost. infact only few people knows the real fixed matches and yoy cant know this by looking at their forehead. Match fixing are for the few to profit and only the few have the right info, the more the people the more risk involve. don't be fooled thinking this lazy youth have such information and if they did would they give you such very powerful information for this grain of peanuts?? if the so-called seller make so much money how come they are looking for your small money?? I can go on and on. whether you find prove or not, until you try it then you can have a first hand experience. Nothing would sound convincing to you until you see a real life experience. This is what we call a working system were criminals are easily spotted, tracked, investigated and jailed if no credible source or explanation is provided for their wealth. Here in Nigeria it is not only easy to steal this money but also easy to spend the stolen money. To make matter worse they brag about it and throw it to our faces with their flamboyant lifestyle and lavish spending. They rant on our media and uses our defence forces, they drive exotic cars and buy expensive houses, electronics and gadget although our investigative and criminal department see the red light, they turn a blind eye and in many cases did nothing. The worst of everything is that they carry our money out of the country which is called Capital flight. yet EFCC, POLICE AND DSS don't do anything meaningful. Instead they will be chanting "innocence until proven guilty", what more information do you need in probing a man who is extremely wealthy with 50 house and 70 cars without enough company and business to show for it. A man is a billionaire and just run only a church with no company or what so ever and yet it sends no signal. Corrupt politicians, Drug dealer, yahoo boys, ritualist, pímp dealers, human traffickers spend their money with all comfort and without confrontation. And even musician and actors/actresses with dead careers keep buying coffins in clubs and yet no bell rings in our head. Our youth will still defend this hooligans and thieves by saying "Nah God don bless him hustle, enjoy man". No one dear confront them because the typical society will tell you "wetin consign you, Stop hating". A typical Nairaland over grown baby will rush to comment by calling out names and tribe. This is because their skulls have grown too thick for any form of reasoning to pierce into their brains for them to notice that this news means our security systems in Nigeria is in shambles. XTHRONE:I didn't mention beating in my post and when I say men are being bad in marriage I mean men becomes unfaithful and some go to extent to do it in their wife matrimonal bed. Many of the past marriage lasted because women were afraid of being stigmatized in the society. people are used to generally thinking it was the womans fault each time a marriage do not work. In the past it was generally believe that if you last long in marriage it was because of good character and because of this women had to suppress their voice and freedom to appear to public eye that they were well behave in marriage with all manner of men with all manner of unspeakable characters. what I see here is since you believe this, you in the future could act as you have said, no problem and maybe you know some who did it but please please dont generalise it. I am a man too just like you. Character of a women has never been the ingredients for we men to respect women. it has been successful in holding marriage in Africa, but we men all know Greed is the major factor, not just been satisfied with the one you have. I have been with many of my friends with good wives but cheating and disrespect was just a product of their selfish fantasy and for the lucky ones who have wife with bad character, it becomes an easy plot for them. yeah you're right in some cases as I seen women with extremely bad character not fitting for marriage at all. 2 Likes |

XTHRONE:keep consoling yourself with a woman character and don't face the reality of life, in few decades the right of a woman would rise in the society so much that the ability to discard women in a marriage will come with a big price. A woman indeed need to be respectful and posses a character to submit to the leadership of a man. But it will be a big mistake to think that any man wouldn't discard you because of your good character. Men globally out my small year on earth, I have come to notice they don't have a favorite mode of behavior infact some bad ones treat a good woman too badly in marriage that at some point it makes me pity the female gender. when it comes to Africa especially most men are just too power to do and undo because they are backed up by the society. My advice to all women out their is to be strong as much as they live with the complexity of men and societal values of marriage they should expect anything from a marriage. |

babyfaceafrica:Electronic isn't perfect as said but the concept of hackers doing this and that is nothing but a conspiracy theory. if hacking was just so comfortable then all our banks and bet Naija site would have beem rendered jobless. As much as hackers exist. A robust system well constructed will be able to resist penetration from the outside especially when built without api and complex interfaces. Most hacking were done by insiders of the institution and this can be easily secured using encrypted storage in hidden locations which only people without identity would work at it core. Lastly the problem of hacking is better problem because it is easier to correct by increasing security and no risk of physical death and blood letting. asuustrike1:The literary level of technology isn't a problem as people claim. many said this same thing when phones came by. with out Illiteracy level in Nigeria. millons are able to make use of phones and ATM with little or no assistance. That aside, for me I suggest we mount cameras in all polling unit a day to the election and record every polling unit from start to finish, all ballout box should be made indestructible and unmovable by mounting them on platform strong attached to the ground. |

I am computer scientist and for years I have come to perceive that people just have unnecessary fear for electronic and computerization of some manual things, I can't explain in details how voting info can be securely implemented to safe and secure but it is very practical and possible. The benefit of it is just so enormous as it would save the physical violence involved in elections. Lastly, if electronics is unsafe as you claim, then how come our banking system has now depended on it for decades and it has not caused chaos as your perceived?? 2 Likes |
