Just recently MTN secured another set of loans, and they have not yet listed. I only urge CBN to ensure that if the fine must be payed, MTN should bring the money from South Africa. We don't want a case where the money would come from Nigerian banks. That they wont tell us.

MTN knows that it would be making the greatest mistake if it leave Nigeria which happens to be its biggest market. Nigeria alone accounts for about 25% of MTN's customer base.
They better go and settle buhari's campaign organisation. They should know the game by now.
With constant issues like this, no business would think long terrm in its host country. ConocoPhillips, Etisalt,...bro when it comes to Nigeria and foreign investor they milk out as much as possible, create enough loans so they can bonce and never look back. Thanks to bad leaders.

Watch money exchange hands in coming months...$8billion na beans, join the previous fine that they have not finished paying.

Very unlikely that they will list under current condition. Rumors is linking this to some political maneuvering.
Bros, am not surprised. If One politician could frustrate Richard Brownson anything is possible with our leaders.

My fear is MTN will recover all this money Nigerian govt is taking from them during the listing. They may be making plans to leave someday, borrow enough from Nigerian banks and handover shell to our greedy CEO's to finish the rest.

They are not stupid for sure.

For the lady saying people are deceiving others to buy. Grow up, the only person taking your money is your broker and NSE, nobody asked you to buy any stock. Best is keep your money inside a fixed deposit. Are you a kid that if I buy diamond bank, that means you should buy, even with the negative news. I have my own reason for loading it.

If you bought Diamond yesterday, you would have been in a loss by now.

In my opinion, these guys are net sellers. They are testing the waters to initiate liquidity. Once we start rushing in and the volumes pick up on any stock they are targetting, they'll dump.

Let's not provide the liquidity for them to exit.
You are very funny... undecided You think people buying diamond bank are doing so because of Uzuoma? No, Its the retail market they command. Uzuoma wont stay there too long.

This one is enough to return the exchange rate of the naira to 200 to a dollar.
8billion dollars looking for naira?
Uzoma and family are using mtn to finish diamond. Much of their so call technological advancement expenditure dat has been eating up profits has been contracts given to mtn nigeria where the senior Dozie(pascal) sits as chairman.
This Uzuoma is very annoying to say the least, anyways CBN should ensure MTN pays to the last kobo. Part of the reason, I'm very skeptical about buying MTN when listed. They end up taking controlling stakes and collect from minority investors to feed their glut.

https://nairametrics.com/cbn-fines-4-banks-%E2%82%A65-65bn-because-of-mtn/

In view of this, the CBN has also asked the banks and MTN Nigeria to immediately repatriate a total of $8.134 billion; being part of funds that were illegally taken out of Nigeria by the telco.

Standard Chartered Bank- ₦2.4 billion
Stanbic IBTC- ₦1.8 billion
Citibank- ₦1.2 billion and
Diamond Bank Plc- ₦250 million
MTN - $8 Billion

By the time they list this MTN na the shell we go see. I like the way govt is dealing with them. DSTV need this same treatment. Diamond bank, we never see profit the one almost available is going. Mr. Uzuoma what sin did we commit? grin

Not any country o

Some powerful countries cannot be bullied in such manner o

But for most countries, you better be in America's good books or else undecided

U.S. will most likely not survive an all out economics assault on China or Germany
China & US relationship is a win/win situation but America can flip it but it would come with worldwide economic turmoil.

Funny thing is America is grooving on Chinese savings...America spends to keep world economy going, China is saving by buying US debt, hence US keeps spending...the circle continues.

Is it a risk for America that China holds over $1 trillion in U.S. debt? https://chinapower.csis.org/us-debt/

Christianity EtcRe: Out Of 3,604 Ordained Pastors Why Single Out Remi Tinubu? by stcool(m): 12:09pm On Aug 08, 2018
HigherEd:
The level of insincerity in Nigeria is too much. Both the political leaders and followers of Nigeria are of the same element. It is strange how RCCG ordained 3,604 pastors but Remi Tinubu was singled out for attacks.

Some even made ridiculous and scripturally unfounded comments about her being incapable of ordination for marrying a Muslim. They would rather ostracise all of our women married to non Muslims. But there is nowhere in scripture where it says women married unbelievers should ostracised.

The great Maria Woodworth Ether, the grandmother of Modern day Pentecostalism was divorced three times and infact married unbelievers in some of her marriages yet she did great exploits for Christ. Cities bowed at her message of Christ.

Aimee Semple McPherson(Founder of Foursquare gospel church), Kathryn Kuhlman were not perfect either. In fact Kuhlman's earliest marriage was out of God's will. Yet she stands today as one of the few women who stirred America for Jesus.

Please stop being Advocates of the devil, whatever great works the lord has started in the Tinubu family should be supported.

Here is a link Churchgist reportage of the event.
