Eruditor: All the warriors did was get a free agent. The rest were drafted. But other players should trade everything they have and create max spaces for all the other stars. That is parity.
Many are mad, few are roaming.
Virtually everybody was drafted in this league so what are you saying? Who go become superstar go become superstar.
Hardetayour: LMAO. Calling Durant a Coward is a reach mehn. It only solidified his position as being one of the top 3 players in the game. 2 rings and 2 fmvps. About to get 221million max contract from the only team that can pay him that much.
Now imagine he finished his career ringless, you guys would find another thing to cry about.
You think KD has rings? Lol. We'll know when he gets his first ring don't worry.
A40: Would Kawhi pass on potentially $50m to battle to be LeNomad's #1 sidekick with Kawhi? Naah I'd hope not. He's King in the North. Why would he even leave the team that have treated him like a god. He's smarter than that
Lol. Being king of the north is not as attractive as being king of LA. LeBron won't last forever, max 2-3 years. Then Kawhi and AD can be co-kings. Let's face it brah, Kawhi wants to come to the team and the city he's loved his whole life. I guarantee you that within the next 3 years, Kawhi wears that purple and gold.
Eruditor: I am not scared at all. Just stating that taking a meeting is nothing. KD entertained Celtics, Wizards, Knicks, GSW in 2016/17. Kawhi is a lowkey person who does not like all the brouhaha associated with stardom. If he was to leave the Raptors at this point, it will be to the Clippers. My only point is that he will most likely try again with the Raptors because as they stand, (with an unhealthy GSW) they are still the team to beat.
You people should look for Butler to help save your king's legacy. It won't be Kawhi or Kyrie.
Whether we get Kemba or Jimmy, there ain't no beating the Lakers. We're already champions as it is.
Eruditor: Forget the hypocrisy which only got to KD and not the Warriors supporters. Kawhi would most likely sign a player option with the Raptors for another year and probably leave to the Clippers. He is not going to any Lakers. People don't know the implications of taking a meeting. Players just want to appear professional in case of the future. A team wants to meet with you, you most likely honour it especially when it is a franchise like the Lakers. It is the same reason KD has not re-signed with the warriors. He will wait to hear the pitch from all the courting teams and then announce his decision publicly or call the teams and tell them about his decision. If he had announced it since, teams would not bother pitching him.
I think the Lakers will not get either of Kyrie or Kawhi. They are better of chasing Jimmy Butler.
Northeastern: We are talking of a balanced league, you guys are talking be afraid. The whole world called KD's move to the warriors the weakest move in the history of the game and now ya all want the 3 of the top 5 players in the world on one roster.
Here's my take, KD should leave the warriors, Kawhi can go anywhere except the warriors, the lakers, and any team that signs KD. The way it is going, the east might not win any ring in the next ten years. Any player that is strong should stay on a team and prove it, not teaming up to get a ring.
Lol, we're doing this so we can be able to challenge the Warriors. If the Warriors stay like this, they're still the best team in the league. Or you want them to win four of the next five titles?
SmooshCHN: A Doctor explaining the Iguodala "bone fracture" incident.
Eruditor.. I've debunked the misdiagnosis whatever on KD's case. Deeman himself brought an article that exposed his ignorance on the issue. You can provide all the objective point and the Warriors would still be at fault with the guys. There's nothing the warriors to please them. Birdman, watch the video. It's your turn now.
SmooshCHN: You were there when they said they weren't going to rat him out?? And KD, his doctors, the Warriors staff, the Warriors team and players would agree for the second best player in the league to play a game 6 knowing he would have a career threatening injury?
As in KD, his agents and his medical staffs would allow that to happen when he's going into free agency and as you guys always said, would pack his bags and eventually leave the Warriors?
I'm schleeep
That's the point. Nobody was there and so whatever you're insinuating is just your own opinion.
Eruditor: Wonderful question and I am happy you reasoned well for once.
Health issues are private and many times you don't feed things to teammates as you can never tell who the mole is. You do know some players leak information to the press for various reasons? So sometimes, the medical team will only inform the player whose health is in question and the coach and then leave everybody else guessing.
Ask Jalen Rose for example how he was so sure looooooong before Kawhi left the spurs that Kawhi was not going to play for them again. I mean, he even placed a bet online about it and he was right. Yea..because someone from Kawhi's camp definitely leaked it to him. If it was not Kawhi himself.
Nah, I ain't buying it bro. They lied to everybody, including Iggy. That's what they do, they lie. Classless organization
He did not mean to say anything. He said what he said and he goofed. Same way you have goofed for using him as a yardstick or even trying to defend him. Hahaha.
But didn't you hear him say muscle the whole show? Did he say bone more than once? Omo, your own worse o
DeeMain: If you are told by your doctor that you are cleared to play and good to go, and 13 minutes into a game you have a career threatening injury following an innocuous jump who would you hold responsible?
SmooshCHN: Misdiagnosis of Kevin Wanye Durant's injury from his medical team to the Warriors team and then by the fact that he even played in 4 weeks is impossible. Besides those are people who live and breath in buckets and achilles. The warriors have a achilles specialist sef and you're on NL telling us they misdiagnosed an achilles year after dude hit three pointers and crosses niggás over. A team of more than 12 people, like of two opposite interests and then the client jumping around missed a ruptured achilles. It's impossible and I'm not even playing Obatala.
Lol, tell me how many players in the NBA have ruptured their Achilles few minutes into their first game from a calf injury. You're here praising your team doctors. It's either they knew the risk and ignored it, or they didn't know. Whichever way, those doctors need to be fired
SmooshCHN: Agreed they can but I'll take my chances with believing them and their objective results and opinions over yours. You cannot walk unaided after a ruptured achilles. KD was dunking in practice so what is the misdiagnosis here? Too stubborn to admit you were wrong?
KD that was dunking and hanging on the rim. Lol. Did you even watch the practices?
SmooshCHN: Prove this uncle without using possibilities or probably. You could be good to go 2 weeks after a calf strain. You can never be good to go in 3 months if you fully rupture your achilles. Don't be too confident about things you don't know.
He was not misdiagnosed and would have been good to go if it was a grade 1 or grade 11 calf strain.
His doctors will not clear him and if KD wanted to still play, they'll let him know of the consequences if he was to return too soon. KD will not play if a career ending injury could arise from not healing properly from his calf strain going into free agency.
Jump off the fence and just think brother.
Look, we know calf and Achilles are two different things, but the truth is calf and Achilles are connected at one point. And look at how low the ice pack was on KD's leg. If it was close to the knee/popliteal fossa it would have been a different case. But it was close to the ankle. That calf injury was probably at the calf-achilles junction or just inches above. As a doctor, you should be able to know that you should give your patient an ample amount of time to heal due to the peculiarity of the injury. You can't give that sort of calf injury the same amount of time you would give a calf injury that is higher.
SIRcumalot: What sort of pressure would make KD's own personal doctor act against his employer own interest ? Durant own doctor cleared him to play that pretty much mean he was good to go.
You think his doctors would come out and say they didn't clear him to play? KD himself wanted to play, and so his doctors are going to stand by him and not rat him out and say they warned him not to play.
SmooshCHN: Spot on about Iggy's case. Every team does that. On KD, I'd only agree to say they rushed him because they know, especially KD's team and the Warriors team that they were taking a risk with letting KD play. The circumstances at that time wasn't helping matters. Everybody was injured. On a normal day, they wouldn't have cleared him to play but it's the finals and they cleared him after saying he has to be 100% first. Everyone here takes the blame IMO including Bob Myers as well as the media who were saying KD has to play. Would they do this again? No!! But every player would pull the Kawhi move which is good for the players. Trust has to go both ways and KD wanted to play through the injury as he said on his IG. Bad look on the medical staff if they assured everyone that there wouldn't have been any complications but I'm 100% they did inform everyone on the team of the complications. It's the most basic thing athletic trainers and medical staffs know. They calf strain takes 3-6weeks. KD took 32 days off which has been enough for many NBA players. In his case, it wasn't. Would they have known he would rupture his achilles? No!! No objective scan would tell them and they're not God. They took a risk and they paid dearly for it. If the Warriors are now suddenly classless, that's the media's problem since they want to choose when to call say KD must and must not play. Didn't Curry play through one injury in 2016 after the knee sprain vs Houston? Want he the hero after returning in the Portland game? The media cannot come and play two face here. If he sprained his ankle that game, they'll say it was connected to his knee. He was later scheduled to have surgery after that finals but it didn't matter to the media because he played well in the Portland series. Iggy was ruled out with his back issue, Bogut was out too and those guys weren't forced to play. It's a big issue because it happened to KD in the finals which Warriors ended up losing. Isaiah Thomas case with the Celtics is where the media can pull this two face.
Klay's situation was no one's fault. Almighty LeBron would go down injured if he landed with toes pointed out and knees in like Klay did. Danny Green made sure he gave him no chance to score.
What? You're not supporting your boy Eruditor anymore. Don't leave him in the cold man.
Eruditor: Your opinion is wonderfully wrong. No debate.
He said " it was put OUT THERE" as a bone bruise. Put out there to who? That is your answer. Iggy himself praised the team because not only did they not mislead him. They still treated him the way a fracture should be treated without ever asking him to play. The only thing they did was misinform journalists to keep the opposition guessing. It is not rocket science.
Of course, when the media keep carrying a news repeatedly that a player has a bone bruise, people here and there will ask questions. How is the leg? Can you play? Is the pain still there? I mean, Steph was being asked these questions when he hurt his fingers. At no point did he say the Medical team misled HIM which is the lame argument you are trying to defend.
Same goes for KD who (by the way got cleared by his own doctors) and then INSISTED on playing. Whatever pressures he felt is not in anyway related to the hot takes or about NBA teams misinforming the media. The warriors for e.g if KDs initial injury was an Achilles could have still lied it was a calf strain but they would have never played him (as he would not have been able to even play..LOL).
And no amount of pressure can make a player who is unable to play, play. The pressure came from the media who kept claiming the player was out of GSW so to prove to them he was not out, he played.
Does that mean that the GS doctors are underskilled quacks? Because they outrightly said that there was no way KD was in danger of hurting Achilles. Whichever way, GS are to be held responsible for this mess.
You don't need to be the only one to still be unashamedly wrong by the way.
He said when he fractured his leg last time against Rockets, the medical team of the warriors told THE NBA that it was a bone bruise even though they knew it was a fracture. Every team does that BTW. You want to unsettle the opposition and make them overcalculate their tactics. If Iggy was ruled out completely the Rockets would have been emboldened. Rockets did same about CP3 and kept lying that he could play game 6 or 7 even when they knew he was out. That was the summary of what he said.
Warriors did not play him, did they? The medical staff did not misdiagnose him (in fact he praised them). They only misled the NBA, journalists and the rockets (or at least they tried to).
I am not even saying anything new. If you do some digging, you will see that at the time last playoffs, I said categorically that Iggy's bone bruise injury claim was BS. Teams do that.
I would have gone to say exactly what he said about KDs injury but I am sure that is not what people care about. The hottake nonsense was to act like Warriors had misled Iggy about his injury but that is not what he was saying. Thing is, when you have made up your mind to hang your dog, any thread will be good enough. Which explains why people deliberately misunderstood the player.
So when GS people lied to the media that it was a bone bruise and not a fracture, did they also lie to his teammates? Because his teammates were urging him to come back too.
Eruditor: Max Kellerman said Achilless bone is connected to the Calf bone.
LOL
That is who someone was quoting.
LOL
Chai, you're so dumb to the extent that you didn't know he meant to say muscle. You go dey alright las las.
In the whole universe, you seem to be the only one picking sides with the Warriors on KD's case. You sef no reason the thing? Even A40 is not with you on this
Eruditor: This one too will say he has a brain. LOL. Opting out of what?
I am waiting for the usually reasonable birdman to respond. I have already accepted that a lot of people on here are not as intelligent as they think they are. The firsttake mugus no different. You are on your own pedestal when it comes to mumulity sha. Carry go.
You think your talking smack makes you sound like you're intelligent? Lol. I know your type. You are even willing to say Einstein is dumb just because you don't agree with him or your small brain can't comprehend what he does or says.
Eruditor: I hope you actually watched the interview and not read excerpts off a dumb article? Some of us watched the interview. I would wait for you to watch it and then come back and give your opinion on what he actually said then I can help clear grey areas that you may not have understood.
Lol, something that was discussed on first take. GS are a classless org. No wonder KD is opting out.
A40: All these numbers are useless without points mate. Besides nobody said LeNomad wasn't the best player. My point is he had a shitload of help. Kyrie outplayed the best player on the Warriors FFS
DeeMain: True that. The inconsistency in the criteria . Happens a lot in football ballon d'or too. Is it the best player for the season or the best player whose team won the title or the player that scored the most crucial goals on their way to winning? The inconsistency of it all is pretty confusing. They keep switching.
Anyway, glad someone with a Nigerian blood won it though. I believe he deserves it.
I think this is flat out robbery. You can't have that kind of season and not win MVP. I mean, 36 ppg? Nah men. Plus him being 2nd in steals and deflected passes, it just doesn't make sense.
