I think Kawhi to the Clippers is the best move for the NBA. As a fan of the Lakers I lowkey didn't want Kawhi to come, cos after thrashing the Warriors for 3 years it would be hypocritical of me to want a superteam of three top five players.

Kawhi coming to Lakers was only going to leave a dent on whatever championships LeBron was going to win (you can see what's going on with KD). And I couldn't bear to see LeBron take the backseat for anyone, like we all thought he'd do for Kawhi.

And for those who think we don't have a squad, chill. Raptors won the chip with basically 8 players, including one superstar. We have 2 superstars, and there's still some good role players in the market. We've already gotten Green, KCP and Javale. Add Rondo and one more player and we good. If that is done, we'd have;

Kawhi saw Kobe and Shaq winning and how they played. He fell in love with basketball. That is what he said. He fell in love with the NBA. Not the lakers. The NBA. Then as he started watching the games, he became a fan of A.I and when his family rooted for Lakers to win. Kawhi instead wanted AI to win. We can even tell that the year in question is 2001. When Kawhi was 10.

I fell in love with basketball watching Shaw and Kobe. The Lakers were the only team his family watched while he was growing up. Unless he wasn't a part of that family then I don't see how he watches Sixers in a Lakers family. Why didn't he say he fell in love with basketball watching Allen Iverson. Abi weren't they all in the same era?

You don't have to play on LeBron's team to prove you're better. You're the one who brought the issue of sidekick and not me. So I said you can't be someone's sidekick if you don't play on the same team.

Cleveland actually tried to get him twice, tried to trade for him a year before he asked for a trade. Everybody knows this.

Thats actually besides the point, its about why he stayed in OKC. It had nothing to do with lebron or him being on the lakers.

So who manufactured the rumour about him not wanting to play with LeBron? You think Pacers would want to strengthen the Cavs who are their direct rivals for a place in the finals?

And PG discovered after the first year in OKC that Westbrook wasn't that insurmountable after all.

Nope. Nobody is leading a team with westbrook on it, especially not okc where westbrook is king and even KD couldnt surmount that. He wanted to go to cleveland but got traded to okc and he ended up liking playing there and playing with westbrook (what a dummy). That's why he stayed.

When I say lead the team, I mean outshine the supposed custodian of the team. And did he do that? Absolutely. He was an MVP nominee.

And no, Paul George clearly wanted to join the Lakers before he got traded to OKC, everybody knows that.

Exactly my point. It doesn't prove anything. He has nothing to prove to anybody. The guy just wants to play the game of basketball in a happy environment, he doesn't care who on earth is in the team. Unlike other guys that disturb themselves about who's in the team or not. Kawhi wanted to go to the Lakers when there was no LeBron, and he hasn't changed his mind even now that there is LeBron.

Paul George knew that LeBron was joining the Lakers, which made him to join OKC instead. Paul George wanted to lead his team and be regarded as the best player on his team. He knew he couldn't do that with LeBron. So he joined Westbrook cos he knew he had a shot at outshining him.
