Christianity Etc › Re: Where SHOULD Morality Come From? by Steep(m): 8:35am On Jul 11, 2023 |
LordReed: You have the internet at your disposal, you look up the laws of logic yourself.
Start here: https://www.britannica.com/topic/laws-of-thought This doesn't answer the question. Logic deals with what is true or not, what constitute contradiction or not, it does not determine what is moral. For example, Mr A has an old rich grandfather who is sick, Is it logical for Mr A to kill his grandfather and take his wealth, after all his grandfather is old and sick, doing so would. 1. End the misery of grandfather 2. Stop further medical expenses 3. Allow hi focus on his life. Is logical? Is it morally right? |

cococandy: Okay love
Cry me a river
As if you’d even let an LGBTQ person step foot in your church much less lead them to “salvation”. Na who no know una. Lol no coco, all have equally sinned. the LGBT, the fornicator, the liar all are sinful but the thing is, we should not deny our sin or try to cover it. Let me use an analogy , if when a person is sick should he or she deny it nope but rather he should see the doctor. When your car has a fault you would not deny it but would take it to the mechanic. Sin is the sickness of the soul and Jesus is the doctor, the treatment has being covered already just only for the sick person to present himself but when the sick person keeps denying his sickness then he would never want to see the doctor and ultimately die as a result. This is what it means when we give excuses, labeling sin differently in other for us not to be judgemental or look bad. Do you know what an atheist said? He said if Christians really believe that their gospel is true and refuse to share it or they keep it to themselves then Christians must be the most wicked people ever because the wages of sin in Christianity is so terrible. I am happy to meet an LGBT or another person who wants to hear and know about Jesus Christ. |

Maynmann: If there’s no freedom, what are you limiting that is there? Who made the laws? Who decides what is Lawful or not? If you are subjected to the law and can’t do certain things because the law said so, how do you have freewill? You are lost!
In Nigeria constitution, your freedoms are listed.
Read Romans 5:13. If there’s no law there is no crime, and that’s when freewill can be exercised. You contradicting yourself, if people do not have freewill, why would they make laws to contail what is not there? There are laws because humans have freewill. |

I know what Jesus would do and that’s why I’m on the side I am. I hope you’ve been well my lady. Long long time No you don't know the real Jesus, Jesus didn't preach tolerance at all, if Jesus had preached tolerance he would not have being killed. Jesus said he is The way to salvation, where is the tolerance there, by that statement he invalidated all other religion and ways of men. Jesus moved with the outcast of society to lead them into repentance. If you were on Jesus side you would be leading men into repentance not defending their sin. David was one of the biggest sinners but in Psalm 51, he said he does not deny his sin but acknowledges he said against God, but he sought God's help in ridding him from his sin. That is the humility God is looking for. |

Hathor5: Cococandy, I just logged in because of you. I salute you and bow to you my lady. I admire your patience, openness and tolerance.
I wish I had the time to type more with regards to the topic but I don`t. All I can say for now is that it`s not surprising that people condemn what they don`t understand. It`s been like that since time immemorial. However, it is sickening to read the rhetoric about hellfire and sin and pit of hell when it was their Jesus who found a totally different approach to those stigmatized, the outcast of his own time. Anyway, I can`t go into detail but I am grateful you don`t let anyone, no matter how many, silence your voice. You are my hero. Jesus forgave a criminal and promise him paradise, does that mean criminality is ok? Jesus was never open and tolerant to sin, he only offered an alternative life to sinners, he said to the adulterous woman "go and sin no more" meaning Jesus recognized she sinned but offered her another chance. When you refuse to see as sin then the truth is not in you, it is only when humans recognize how wrong and terrible they, only then they can turn to the saviour. |

Maynmann: Which crimes are they committing in the first place? If there are laws that they CANNOT break, where is the free will in that society?
Do you think you have free will in Nigeria to do whatever you want? You can’t even wear army clothes.
If you have free will you can’t break any law. If there is no law, there is no crime. Once someone is under a law, they have limited freedom. without free will there is no freedom, you can only limit what is already there, the fact that you have laws means that people have free will to make choices. You don't have an idea of what you are talking about |
Christianity Etc › Re: Describe Hell In Your Own Words by Steep(m): 2:21pm On Jul 05, 2023 |

Christianity Etc › Re: Describe Hell In Your Own Words by Steep(m): 9:27pm On Jul 02, 2023 |
Maynmann: Why are you contradicting yourself. Where did you get the definition of this “the term criminal assumes that he or she has free will?”
Who said free will does not exist? You are the one contradicting yourself. You said how does a person (who don't have free will) commit a crime which means accountability can only be required from free agent. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Describe Hell In Your Own Words by Steep(m): 9:02pm On Jul 02, 2023 |
Maynmann: How did the person become a “criminal”? Who created the law? The term criminal assumes that he or she has free will? If freewill does not exist, then crime is non existent, and those labeled as criminals are not guilt since they have no free will, right? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Describe Hell In Your Own Words by Steep(m): 8:57pm On Jul 02, 2023 |
Maynmann: You can only be a “criminal” if you break a law. So whose law? So how is it the criminals fault that he broke a law since he doesn't have freewill? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Describe Hell In Your Own Words by Steep(m): 8:54pm On Jul 02, 2023 |
Maynmann: How is it the computer fault? And “punishing” it will do what? Then why punish criminals for crime if they don't have freewill? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Describe Hell In Your Own Words by Steep(m): 8:23pm On Jul 02, 2023 |
Maynmann: That’s not free will then, if there are consequences to my choices then how is it a free will?
But if you tel the criminal he has the free choice to do anything, then go back and punish him for doing anything, you are not been honest and sincere, why tell him in the first place he can do anything? There’s no law in any constitution that says you can do anything you like, regulations are spelt out and if you break it you will be punished. Can you punish a computer for not functioning well? If not why? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Describe Hell In Your Own Words by Steep(m): 8:10pm On Jul 02, 2023 |
Maynmann: That’s not how free will works, free Will should come with no conditions. How is choosing your choices, i mean making use of your free will take you go to hell? What’s now the essence of the free will if you can’t freely will what you want? If a visitor comes to your house and you offer them different fruit and that they can choose anyone they like, yet you later tell them only certain fruits are allowed to be eaten in your house, where is now the choice you gave them to freely choose the fruit they like?
So people in hell are harvesting what, their choices? You have the freedom to make choice but once you make the choice you don't have the freedom not to recieve the consequence. A criminal has the choice not to do crime but once he commits crime he loses his freedom. |

Janosky: The holy ones in Daniel 7:27 RECEIVE pelach.
Daniel 7:27 27 “‘And the kingdom and the rulership and the grandeur of the kingdoms under all the heavens were given to the people who are the holy ones of the Supreme One.+ Their kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,+ and all rulerships will serve and obey them" NWT is very accurate.
The "Him" ending in your Trinitarian doctored version of Daniel 7:27 is not in the manuscript. Screenshot PROVEN evidence. NWT wrongly interpreted it due to thwri false doctrinal dogma. Did you even read the strong interlinear, it said that "they served him" only nwt translated it as "them" which is an obvious fabrication by jehovah witness society. |

Janosky: Oga Steep, the answer to your claim is no.
The Hebrew language did not use "Worship" @ Daniel 7:14. The screenshots PROVEN evidences says that pelach also references other gods, deities.
The Bible Aramaic word pelach @ Daniel 7:14 meaning reverence (deep respect and admiration) PROVEN by the screenshots evidences you have seen on this thread & attested to by your fellow Trinitarian Bible scholars is convincing proof to abandon your claims.
Dem dey remove the screenshots I dey post.
It is service I didn't tell you it is not reverence, but what type of reverence? The word palak is reserve only for the true God. It is the type of reverence meant only for Jehovah. |

ItsReal: As the saying goes, bring 100 Christians in a room , ask them about Christianity and the concept of God, then you will get 100 different answers.
The reason mainly is due to the root of it all.
Till today, there are no witness of the crucification of christ. ( just hearsays from the man that created the religion, who was also not a disciple of Jesus)
No agreed upon book. Different bible written by different unknown authors containing different numbers of chapters/book.
Totally different belief system. Earlier Christians didn't believe in trinity o. Na after the council of Nicea the concept of trinity of formed. Some see mary as part of family Trinity, some say na holy ghost. Some say na god send Jesus, some say na god send god, etc...
To cut it short, only people with no knowledge about about christianity and the bible, those wey dey cash out from it, or people who don't want to be bound by any law but want to live a care free life, na them dey remain Christian o.
No responsibility, just believe someone for died for ur sins and go on to do as you wish.
Every part of the religion is formed by the pastor and those in charge. How to worship, what to believe, rule of conduct, etc, na pastor dey create am...not jesus or the founder ( paul).
Trust me ,i can keep going on and on.
The problem of Nigerian Christians is ignorance. All they know is what their pastor wants them to know... From the selective readings from the bible, telling people who ask questions not to question god or that they don't have holy spirit needed to understand things, or saying its a mystery.
Go online and see how Christian outside africa who have read the bible end up turning to atheist or agnostics or Muslims... Read about how the whole religion of christianity has kept changing, from the books to the beliefs... Read about the Crusades, the spread of Christianity, the views of Jews about the Christian belief and many more, ... , you will see that its all a sham simply identifying ad a Christian does not make you a Christian. christianity remains the same, Christianity is all about faith in Jesus christ as means to be saved. There are tons of Muslims and atheists, humanists etc that are converting to Christianity by the day, you are not current at all. |

Everyone else see's these screenshots Chabad.org Hebrew - English word for word translation of Deuteronomy 10:20, Deuteronomy 6:13 & Daniel 7:14 except Oga Steep.
These screenshots is self explanatory to everyone except Trinitarians DECEIVING THEMSELVES.
Oga Steep no want Hebrew language Daniel 7:14 except Trinitarian distorted & doctored version .. Chabad did didn't do a straight interlinear. Here is the hebrew- English interlinear and places where it is used. The word interpreted for serve is only used for the service of the only true God. It means to serve or reverence, that is not the issue, but this word is only used to describe the kind of service or reference offered to Jehovah.

MaxInDHouse: Psalms 110:1 is enough to help any researcher who is sincere and honest hearted:
This is what was written in God's word:
Jehovah declared to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet" Psalms 11:1
In the Hebrew Aramaic scriptures the name JEHOVAH was presented in four consonants "YHWH" so in your own copy of the Bible that name was replaced with the title "LORD"
So instead of what the New World Translation wrote above your own version of the Bible will say:
"The LORD said to my Lord, sit at my right hand"
Apostle Peter confirmed that David was talking about Jehovah and Jesus so if you're not convinced that the version you're using can't help you get accurate knowledge of God's word that's your cup of coffee.
Go and WORK with your fellow trinity worshipers in doing God's will! MaxInDHouse: There's no reason arguing with him as long as Jehovah and Jesus are separate beings and Jesus worship Jehovah case closed! Meanwhile your questions are pending. MaxInDHouse: With all the evidences i think it's time to leave you with whatever you want to believe there's no sense in this back and forth debate. atleast present one, just one is enough. Go and worship with those you're sure that are having the same line of thought with you as for us we are doing fine with our Faith in Jehovah! So far you have not being able to prove anything, I have clearly presented scriptures to you, showing you that Jesus is truly God and truly man.8 I showed you Daniel 7 vv 14 where Jesus recieve service that is meant only for the true God. Shown you that Jesus has absolute power, I have also shown why Jesus called a servant which is because he took that form willingly. I have also showed you where Jesus is prayed to by Stephen, Paul and entire Christian church. This is enough evidence for now. |
