cumbak60:Is the truth hurting you already? That was my intention. The thread is about what actions will be taken by a Nigerian President on the irritation of Biafra. I as a Nigerian who could one day become president have stated my own plans of freedom for Biafrans, yet their misery and trauma still knows no respite? Whether you hate yourselves in Biafra is no concern of mine as Nigerian President once I give you your Biafra. It will be the headache of your IPOB and its director of hate. So hurry up and leave. |
omenka:FFK is Nigeria's own McCarthy of the US senate in the 1950s. He has brought McCarthyism out of the grave and into the lives of his miscreant adherents. He must surely end in shame like Sen. McCarthy. |
last35:Tactics that might land you in trouble just because you don't want to exercise your right to say capital NO to an admirer? How smart is that? |
rainylad:You must have missed your way to this thread, as such you did not observe that this was a hypothetical circumstance. I might argue as to the civility of Kanu or the ignorance of his hate filled IPOB mob, and why they must be dealt with by the Nigerian state, but in truth, I would rather have a Nigeria devoid of hate filled clansmen who suffer from a persecution complex. The Igbos need to have an Igbo only country to realise the truth about themselves. Then we will know who needs Nigeria more. Igbos have been crying for their own country, but in truth they cannot afford to have Biafra while still inside of the Big shadow of Nigeria, hence their desperate desire to have Nigeria totally fractured so they can have smaller neighbour nations to prey on and dominate. The Igbo man thinks himself wise but always comes out with the short end of the stick. We see your fear already, we know your weakness. I as Nigerian president will give you your Biafra. Leave us Nigerians to worry about what we do with our Nigerian nation, as it would no longer be your business. As for Lagos, many are patiently waiting to occupy the space and breathe the air vacated by the Igbos. Worry not about Lagos that was already great before the Igbo houseboys came to work for British colonialists at a time Yorubas were already demanding for a university and already had PhD qualified engineers working in the colonial service. Worry more about where your traders will trade and through what waters they will import goods that have no buyers. Worry more about what jobs will be done by those who have returned from Nigerian cities. Worry more about the accommodation needs of Biafrans who will look up to director to provide for their needs having been responsible for their unwilling return from Nigeria where they previously thrived. Worry more about who your international partners will be, having already made yourself an enemy of Nigeria. The anarchy you have always schemed for in Nigeria will finally locate you in Biafra. Worry about that, and worry about the mob of hate-filled miscreants you have nurtured to complete your self destruction. |
tensazangetsu20:How will Biafran refugees pass through Nigerian territory to any West African state without Nigerian approval? Better plan well for your survival in the Biafran Utopia whose bubble must certainly burst. I pity Nnamdi Kanu then, but on a second thought, he still has his British passport to aid his return to the UK while Aba boys flee the Biafran hardship into Cameroon through a well guarded Nigerian corridor. |
IkpuMmadu:Illiterates keep on comparing Brexit from EU to an ethnicity's exit from a country they have abused and rubbished as parasites holding them down from progress and prosperity. Or is EU a country? What can AU do if Nigeria or SouthAfrica choose to opt out of the international union. Did Britain employ the hate tactics of IPOB to exit EU? Or you expect to reap love after sowing hate? The same Nnamdi Kanu that has maligned everyone, will be the one with cap in hand begging for international cooperation with Nigeria when I give you the independence you desperately seek. I repeat, no help will be rendered to Biafra, by same token, no malice will be wrought on Biafra. The Nigeria that I rule will ensure you drown in excessive independence and isolation. Indeed I am a Yoruba man. I am the tribe that is responsible for all the problems of the Igbo tribe as many have wailed on this forum. |
cumbak60:What is unfair in granting no help or establishing any diplomacy with a Biafra that was canvassed for with hate for other tribes and for Nigeria, as propagated by IPOB? We will sever relations peacefully and keep Biafra at arms length, so Biafrans will have no one to blame for the self destruction. |
-I will give all Easterners 1month to relocate to the current South East to have all Igbos within their own region. Reverse action will occur with all Nigerians resident in the South East. -I will within same 1month conduct a referendum in only the Igbo speaking areas out side of the South East to decide if they want to join their kin as part of a bigger South East. -I will then conduct a referendum inside the bigger South East ensuring secret ballot and open counting of votes. -if the majority vote yes to independence, I will give them the next 6months to terminate their relationship with Nigeria. This will include disposing any residential property they hold inside Nigeria. Anyone who is unable to dispose of such within 6months will be paid a flat rate after total dissolution, based on the type and not based on the location. -Any company held by Igbos whether manufacturing or a real estate development firm will be allowed to retain their company and property until a 3yr period when they will be bought off by Nigeria and Nationalised. So if they chose to sell of on their own before then, no problem. -Since this will come suddenly, no current private property will be allowed to be registered as company property, and all such conversions done 1yr prior to my regime will be immediately nullified. -No one single plot of Non-Igbo land will go into Biafra, and not one single plot of Igbo land will remain inside Nigeria. -All national debts will be shared as deemed fit by a joint committee. -No trade agreements or diplomatic presence will be allowed for the next 5yrs after the separation. After 5yrs, diplomatic agreements may be entertained. -Ultimately, no help will be rendered and no harm/malice will be wrought. Nigeria will simply ignore Biafra and let it thrive if it can or crash and burn if it cannot. Refugees will do well to exorcise Nigeria from their mind, but safe passage will be allowed only towards Cameroon not to any West African state. Other finer details I will keep to my chest, this is enough for enlightened minds to ruminate on and hazard a guess as to the eventual consequences of their decision. |
AHCB:As I already stated, the law was designed to prevent homosexual marriage and to penalize anyone that tries to procure one, enable one, or promote one. It attempts to limit the publicity giving to homosexuality and would penalize anyone promoting it or trying to socialize publicly within that group. But nowhere does it state that being homosexual is a crime, or openly stating that one is a homosexual is a crime, or anyone who is in a homosexual relationship is committing a crime. Infact, an openly homosexual can become a President or Governor or Senator in Nigeria. The only impediment is by that law, such a person must never be seen advocating for homosexuality or belonging to a gay association or club, or trying to procure a gay marriage. Under Nigeria's new law, it is now a crime to have a meeting of gays, to operate or go to a gay club, society or organization, or make any public show of affection.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/nigeria/10570304/Nigeria-passes-law-banning-homosexuality.html The ultimate truth is that even the facets affected by that law like public association, and publicly promoting homosexuality will be roundly defeated in a constitutional case as it infringes on rights that have already been made sacrosanct by the constitution. No one will ever be convicted in a criminal case on those counts. Only the marriage aspect can ever win a case in court against a defaulting suspect/accused. |
This is good. Kudos to the EFCC. |
AHCB:Homosexuality is not a crime in Nigeria. Homosexual marriage is a crime in Nigeria, and any homosexual marriage validly contracted outside Nigeria, is automatically invalid inside of Nigeria. Learn to differentiate between the two terms. |
datola:The problem with that law is that it was strictly crafted to penalize anyone enabling same sex marriage or trying to procure one or promote such. Beyond that, the law is so useless and was craftily made so to only serve as appeasement for the religious fanatics, who as expected were already too mentally handicapped to realise the bill was just a ruse. The law does not penalize anyone who identifies as homosexual or engaged in a homosexual activity. The law was only designed to prevent marriage. Iniobong has only become one of the first busybody victims of the deception caused by that law. He felt his sexual assault will be condoned once the victim involved is a homosexual. Now he will learn the hard way that everyone has constitutional rights to their dignity, liberty, and choice. |
This is visionary. Kudos to Ambode. Thankfully, Lagosians did not settle for Jimi Agbaje of the 1 drug store entreprise and free Lagos wifi fame. |
His actual points have been made, never to be erased from history. This is the ultimate end result when you are ready to end the debate and move on. |
koresN:Did you not read that the state government has stated the funds were duly budgeted and passed into law, and funds were transferred officially and not illegally? Or what law again is there to be above or below of in this particular case? EFCC is only doing its job in flagging such funds transfer to determine if it is an attempt to siphon state funds to private coffers. You can only argue as to the moral and common sense import of the decision of the Sokoto state government to want to provide funds for such luxuries when the Sultan is expected to spend more time in his Sokoto domain, and when such funds can provide rural roads and portable water. As for law, nothing illegal to prosecute in this matter as long as those funds are spent as budgeted, which is a N700m residence in Abuja. |
zynzyn:A lot of people are ignorant. They only know the price 1 room self contain in Ajegunle, or 1 bedroom flat at Gwagwalada or Mararaba. |
k9ine:Was I the one that made traditional institutions a baby to be taken care of by theIr respective state government? Did I author the Nigerian constitution? As for the text in bold, it was never stealing for budgeted fund to be spent as budgeted. It is for this reason that you have a national and state parliament where budgetary allocations are defended before being passed into law. Truly, I don't blame you. I blame the Nigerian educational system that allowed some of us to have excess education, mental development and civility, while some unfortunate ones only had enough education to claim literacy while still being mentally handicapped and incapable of civil, rational, and logical reasoning. If not, why would we be having this argument when the only thing that is evident in this news is that the Sokoto state government does not know how to prioritize the needs of the state, and not that any crime has been committed yet by anyone. If the funds budgeted for the Abuja property purchase then finds its way to pay for electoral campaign of the governor or the UK school fees of the Sultan's daughter, then I and other reasoning Nigerians will yell more than the illiterate mob yelling aimlessly. |
NgcoboP:I can see you are one of many traumatised miserables. You are yet to state what crime has been committed and why you think the Sultan is a pig. It is obvious your own problem is generational hatred, so harness these hate power to generate electricity for your neighbourhood. I won't bother to reply you since you are yet to say anything intelligent, and I am not generous enough to look down and bring you out of darkness into enlightenment. You are already were you belong, so continue to tarry there. |
NgcoboP:How informative, coming from a mannerless child who just said Diezani has not committed any crime despite all the evidences the US and UK keeping digging out. |
NgcoboP:UK and the US will determine if she has committed any offence by routing proceeds of corruption to their countries. When Nigeria is ready to do same, they can. When they prosecute and convict her, then take your sorry self to the train tracks and run with rage towards an oncoming train. |
NgcoboP:Whether holy or demonic cause, it is for you all who suffer from religious madness. You are yet to state what crime was committed and what the constitution has prescribed as a penalty? Stop roaming aimlessly and stick to the topic and state explicitly what constitutional wrong has be done. |
Brooklynsouth:You do not fool me at all. You are the worst of a morally decrepit generation of Nigerians whose souls are more rotten than the sewers of Ajegunle. So all you ever spend your time thinking and doing is how to save Diezani from the judgement that must surely come to her? Is it APC that is investigating her in UK, or the FBI in the US is headed by a Yoruba Muslim? Or all the litany of evidences being reeled out from investigations done on Jide Omokore, Aluko and the many other shady deals that deprived Nigeria of funds that should have duly accrued, are not enough to warn you that you are a bigoted corruption zombie of the nth order? When are you going to turn back from the road to perdition and misery that you continue to walk without any succour in sight? I repeat to you bigoted zombie to state categorically, what crime has been committed in this news report, and why did the EFCC let the sultanate official go home pending further investigations? |
NgcoboP:What is your fixation with the Sultan? Did he steal any money? Or is it not the same state you have wrongly claimed doesn't make up to N700m IGR annually, that budgeted this amount for property purchase in Abuja? Did the sultan put a knife to the governor's neck to approve the funds? Why not tell us your own personal problems you have with the person of the sultan and stop hiding behind this news report when EFCC itself has already let the sultanate officer go home until they can find anything incriminating. |
NgcoboP:You keep on shouting pig as though you just learnt the word. What is your fantasy with pigs? And what mannerless human will be calling a traditional leader a pig repeatedly without stating what piggery offence waa committed? Is yelling pig an excuse for not being able to hide your hatred, seeing that you are yet to argue civilly what crime has been committed? Let me give you a hint. Go to the sultan's palace in Sokoto, ask to meet with the sultan then tell him to his face that he his a pig. |
shollyBi:The job is very critical as already stated. It is not for those that would learn on the job. Let the little ones apply for graduate trainee jobs while the ones who have learnt across many past critical projects use their experience to provide the expertise that would deliver this critical stage of the project. Better to be safe than to be sorry when structural collapse disaster strikes only 2 months after the refinery is commissioned. |
NwaAmaikpe:Because her name might be Halima or Aisha? |
CROWNWEALTH019:Since you have chosen to poke your nose, kindly tell me the name of the crime that has been committed and what penalty the Nigerian constitution prescribes for such a crime? It is ever so evident that this country is a nation of uncivilized humans with a mob of mentally handicapped victims who no longer know what is law and what is responsibility. After all the education, only few can reason rationally and logically. Worse still, fewer can argue the opinions they so ignorantly espouse. |
Brooklynsouth:Must you reduce everything to tribal politics? We are discussing about Sokoto state here and you had to bring your miserable Igbo disease into it? What manner of ravaged tormented soul are you? Yet so lacking in intelligence that you cannot even articulate a civilized counter opinion. |
Sunnyja:Please don't trivialise issues by comparing apples to oranges. The only way the Paris funds can be spent by the respective state governments is for it to be budgeted. EFCC and non state residents cannot dictate to Sokoto state what projects it chooses to accomplish with each year's state budget. Every state in Nigeria, by law, funds the traditional institutions that exist therein. They exist under the authority of the state government, and if Sokoto state government believes part of the Paris funds refund should be allocated to the Sultanate to acquire a sultanate residence in Abuja, then it is left to concerned Sokoto residents to protest the vain use of scarce funds. Certainly no embezzlement of budgeted funds has been alleged yet, nor has there been any siphoning of funds that should accrue to the state in the manner Diezani did. You may not agree that such funds should have been spent as such that it does not better the life of the common Sokoto resident, but the amount is neither exaggerated for what it has been budgeted for in such a location and for such a personality. If it would be later embezzled or diverted to other personal uses of the Sultan and his officials outside of the budgeted purchase is what we should be watching out for. |
Exciton:You only need half a gram of rational thought. If everyone is emotional and irrational in thought, there would be no society or civilization, as everyone would be incapable of social interaction. The news report itself has identified the man interrogated as an official of the sultanate. Even EFCC released him on bail based on self recognition. The state government has also declared that the funds were officially transferred and even captured in the 2017 budget. The amount is not jaw dropping for a residential abode in high brow Abuja. Only illiterates, rural dwellers and the wretched poor would find it informative that N700m can only buy a residential house and not a stadium in certain parts of this country. Kudos to EFCC for being vigilant. What should be investigated further is whether the sultanate has used these funds already to fulfil the budgeted goal or the funds legally received has been shared out without the property purchase accomplished. Continued monitoring if still lodged in the bank account, would ensure it would be used as budgeted. Do I think the funds have already been wasted by being budgeted for such in the midst of unavailable basic necessities in Sokoto state? Certainly yes, but EFCC needs to show me at the end of their ongoing investigations, what crime has been committed before I can join the mob to shout crucify! crucify! |
Eazybay:N700m will buy you an old colonial bungalow, but on prime land in Ikoyi. So N700m is no longer a big deal for property in some parts of Nigeria The location is what matters. I suppose for the social status of the Sultan, Asokoro or Maitama will be the desired location in Abuja. What EFCC need to show us now is if any laws have been breached by the Sokoto State government in officially transferring budgeted funds to an officer of the sultanate for the purpose for which it was duly budgeted. |
However, a top official of the state government said the N700 million traced to the Sarkin Fada “is from the government of Sokoto State and is meant for the purchase of a House for the Sultan in Abuja”.It is a poor use of public funds that could have served better purposes, but it was duly captured in the budget and officially released, so I fail to see a crime here. |

How Biafra take dey pain you for belly na wetin I know no
Yes, we hate ourselves, but we all know the region that is topping the list on skull mining and ritualism.
Evil minded Nigerians. Just because person say e no want again na him be all this wickedness. Acting like a broken heart lover that his girl left just left him... I pray Biafra comes in our life time... let see between Nigeria and Biafra which will fare better. All hail Biafra!
