ZombieNation:Suddenly she's a Yoruba ambassador who must be berated, right? So every criminal in Ghana or every Fulani in West Africa must be a Nigerian because the Ghanaians said so? So the job of the ambassador is to accept that her countrymen are the plagues of the foreign society they migrate to? Or did you read anywhere that the report is about a violent act by Fulani herdsmen within the territory of Nigeria? Yet some people said the President was wrong to have berated the factual criminality of Nigerians abroad, which negatively affect the opportunities of other upright Nigerians in those foreign societies. Now you do a 180 degree and berate an ambassador who is doing her job and defending her citizens from allegations for acts that might have been perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen from Mali or Senegal or any other West African abode of the Fulanis. Just because you hate Fulani and Yoruba? Shame on you. |
tit:That is what the Ghanaians are alleging but the Nigerian Ambassador is even trying to let them know that even if they are Fulani herdsmen, it is wrong for the Ghanaians to say they are Nigerians or they are all Nigerians. While you called the Ambassador a bastard because you did not digest what you read, our Igbo enemies who are economic refugees in the SouthWest and Ghana, are criticising the Yoruba Ambassador for defending the herdsmen because she said they are not Nigerians that perpetrated the act. Now an Ambassador is being criticised for doing her job and upholding the country's pride abroad because the involved party is Fulani. When another ambassador accepts allegations from abroad that Nigerians are the criminals in their country, they would say then that the ambassador is not doing his/her job. They called the president names for berating Nigerians involved in criminality abroad. |
At the end of the day, every Nigerian eventually fights to feed his own hungry stomach, not to achieve a goal for the collective good. I would prefer that NNPC be scrapped and all present employees paid off and laid off. A wholesome new startup can then be established to replace the defunct NNPC. |
Metuh should have employed the special services of Rickey Tarfa who would have then ensured that the suit was filed with the dishonourable Justice Yinusa. |
They have realised that the Jonathan regime re-looted the Abacha loot that was returned, by using the funds to buy "arms" for electoral warfare. They must now think that Africans, both the leadership and followers, must be truly incapable of running a civilised society. Next they will ask to colonise Africans again - a request that has more merits than demerits. |
Good news. |
victorels:Only thugs would be dragged into this discussion. For some reason, only those 2 thugs seem to never know how to live in peace with anyone. Politics is war to them, and death is just another occurrence that must happen in the lives of their opponents. They must always have their way. |
mycar:Exactly! Like the majority state house of assembly men being exiled from their own state by Fayose. Like thugs being led by Fayose to the court where he personally slapped the judge. Like using the army to arrest political opponents in a bid to win elections. All of that were dangerous precedents, not DSS carrying out lawful duty as empowered by law. |
victorels:DSS will do its job whether Fayose or you like it or not. Your opinion has no relevance to DSS exercising their lawful authority. When I think of thugs occupying political positions, Fayose and Wike always come to mind. They alone must always have their way in any sphere they are found? They alone know what is legal and illegal? They alone decide when there must be peace in their respective society. Their way is the only way. |
DSS is now Pa Buhari's DSS? But same DSS once served as bouncers and bodyguard to a private citizen Fayose when he was campaigning for office. Even Fayemi who was then the governor nor any other governor in Nigeria, had DSS as their bodyguards. When is Fayose going to give up his unnecessary quest for attention? Is he the only opposition governor in Nigeria? Did Buhari buy anything from Fayose without paying him his money? In a bid to get the attention he so much craves, Fayose will soon dance naked in front of Aso Rock while Buhari's convoy drives past him |
bugzbunny:The suspect directly involved and responsible for the under-age love affair and elopement shouldn't be the fall guy? Are you okay at all? Do you even know what fall guy means? So Sanusi who was going about his royal duties should be the one charged for the actions of another man? Hate is so powerful, it can energise a terabyte of irrational thought. |
somegirl1:After Awolowo was released from prison, he had stated clearly that if the East was allowed to secede the West would naturally follow to opt out of the union. This is as clear as water that the West only wanted a diplomatic dissolution of the federation, not warfare to disintegrate the country. Ojukwu was advised to the last minute by Awolowo that he would have no support from the Western region if he proceeded with his war posturing. Meanwhile Awolowo continued as a civilian to clamour for the relocation of the majority Northern soldiers from Lagos and the West back to their Northern origin. The Northern led government continued to foot drag on this request, knowing what the implications are - the natural dissolution of Nigeria. Ojukwu being an impatient fighter and not a thinker, decided he would go ahead with his secession, while the FG too preempted him by restructuring the political grouping of the country. Ojukwu then sent a liberation army to occupy the MidWest that had already stated clearly that it would remain neutral in the whole matter of police action by the FG and forceful separation by the East. That Ojukwu's liberation army could so easily overrun the MidWest where there was barely any federal defence, already suggests that one side respected the neutrality of the MidWest while the other side saw it as a good platform to fight it's war. From the MidWest that the FG still let to be occupied by the Biafran liberation army, that same army set for Lagos and the West to confront Northern soldiers who were still firmly rooted there. That was when Awolowo had to take a decision. A decision that ensured his region will not be the casualty and victim of a war it had no interest or preparation for. |
somegirl1:Neutrality while the Western and MidWestern regions are used as a theatre of the war with the Igbos and Hausas having a go at each other while their respective regions read about their own war on the pages of the newspapers? The dead inhabitants of those regions who courted no war would have been the collateral damage of neutrality? Or the air raids by Biafra on Lagos before the FG even made any incursions into Biafra, did it kill only Hausa occupants and discerningly spared Yorubas and other Nigerian ethnicities? To fight the war largely on Western territory was the only tactics Ojukwu had, hence the liberation army he dispatched towards the West as one of his first tactics. Once that was nipped in the bud, the greatest army of the black race was exposed as ill-prepared and ill-equipped to prosecute the war it so much courted. |
Ovamboland:They only talk of betrayal when they are not aligned with the existing power equation. |
Ovamboland:They still regret that their plan to have the civil war fought in the West and MidWest backfired. Since Ojukwu believed he had the greatest army of the black race, I still do not know why they needed Yorubas to support his suicide mission. |
sexyexcalibur:So the only truth is your own lie that helps your false argument? |
More income for Akwa-Ibom. |
DamZik:You call a fight against corruption tyranny? I pity those who relate with you. My family has not stolen government funds, we have no reason to be scared. If Buhari was Idi Amin, Fayose's head will be cooling of in in Buhari's freezer already. Fayose that was using DSS while campaigning for votes is not a tyrant? Did he not slap a judge and use thugs to ransack a court? Did he not use an insignificant minority to destabilise the state house of assembly? Again, I pity those who consider you a responsible human being. Everything you have complained about above is more evident in the character of Fayose with Nyesom Wike coming a close second. |
Badeh toh bad. Air Chief Marshall who marshalled public funds for his own private needs. N1.4B on a house cemented with the blood of dead military men, while the blocks were vibrated with the cries and anguish of their forsaken family. |
Thankyou Sahara Reporters. Other news outlets are known to only report what is given to them to report. The brown envelope journalism is still being kept alive by the likes of Saraki. |
pacino26:There's ample evidence to the extent that the paper trail has implicated many people as regards the Dasuki saga. Badeh, Amosu and Adigun already have hundreds of millions recovered by the EFCC in it's official statement on that case, while assets that shouldn't ever accrue to such senior public servants have already been seized. Saraki's case is done and dusted, hence Saraki's prevarication with the court proceedings. Rickey Tarfa will certainly soon become a Senior Convict of Nigeria. So evidence is not a problem, the procedures of law do not change even in the 22nd century, and Buhari has no authority to autocratically change judicial procedures as regards the rights of the accused to a fair trial. |
Fayose and his rice eating hooligans. Governor, cut more kpomo and fish for the boys, they are getting too lazy propagating your falsehood. |
tuniski:The previous admin's sin is whether any allegation was ever investigated, talkless of arrest or prosecution. Was any minister culpable in any form of corruption sacked, talkless of arrest. Did Jonathan need the courts to sack his own ministers? OBJ had Sunday Afolabi and Akwanga sacked and prosecuted over the Sagem national ID card scandal. Tafa Balogun was sacked and prosecuted and convicted. Prof. Fabian Osuji was sacked and prosecuted for bribing the Senate President Wabara who demanded bribe to pass Education ministry budget. Mrs Ojomo was sacked from the housing ministry concerning how she handled the 1004 estate crisis. Prof. Aborishade was sacked because of 2 plane crashes that was not his fault. Yar'Adua had Prof. Adenike Grange of health ministry sacked and prosecuted. Bode George was sacked and prosecuted and convicted. Jonathan had Oduah, no sack or prosecution, but let go in a cabinet reshuffle many months after the BMW saga. Jonathan had Abba Moro, no sack so he went ahead to spend the money realised from the NIS recruitment on houses in prime locations. Instead Sanusi was sacked for informing the president that NNPC was not earning as much money as was accrued. The previous admin's sin was that it suffered from ineffectual buffoonery. This administration has started arresting criminals who were the sacred cows of the buffoonery regime. Monies and assets have been recovered. Yet the same set of people who have been chanting witch-hunting are now asking why there's been no conviction in 9months, while still defending the previous administration that ruled for 5years. |
An insignificant rant. Nnamdi Kanu approached the Ecowas Court in Abuja that exist at the benevolence of Nigeria. He termed himself a citizen of Nigeria, maybe he suddenly realised Biafra only exist in his head. The SE politicians should begin to make the moves for this Biafran struggle, let them raise a motion and ensure a referendum is held and rigged to ensure their independence. I'll be happy to have my region devoid of a certain tribe of people who breath hate instead of oxygen. |
Brightology2:What exactly are your expectations as regards convictions? That 20 cases only started in a 9months administration would have attained conviction status? Buhari is being blamed by your ilk for even daring to prosecute the calibre of accused presently undergoing trial, terming him a dictator. Yet you still blame him for allowing the law courts undergo the legitimate judicial process in arriving at justice? I ask again, has the government lost any of the corruption cases in court? Where is your conscience you wretched enemy of the state? |
A source who doesn't want his name mentioned is certainly not an official statement from the EFCC. When EFCC is ready they will state what has been recovered as it was with the AVM Amosu and Adigun's case. For now I take this information as PDP propaganda as it was with the dollars found in the septic tank of AVM Amosu, but PDP tried to discredit the EFCC by saying the pictures of dollars in a plastic barrel was from a Colombian drug dealer. EFCC never gave any official report on dollars in a barrel. The official statement clearly said dollars found in a newly constructed septic tank. |
Johnny19:Has any case been lost by the government so far? Does the legal system of Nigeria or any democracy allow the federal government to conclude cases within any duration desired by the executive? That people have been arrested and are being prosecuted amidst crocodile cries of witch-hunting and "leave our brother alone", isn't that commendable enough? Or are the funds and assets recovered so far not worth anything to you? Or were you expecting that Jonathan should have been arrested, prosecuted and executed within this past 9months? All of that will certainly happen in due time within the framework of the law. People like you who remark that "let us hear word joor", are the very people who feel threatened that the culture of corruption that has fed their families is being threatened. For that reason any president that dares to speak ill of corruption is an enemy. |
The court cases are ongoing. Monies and assets are being recovered. Buhari is not responsible for the court procedures that delay cases. Case Study: Tell Saraki to stop delaying his own trial and defend the allegations lodged at the CCT. Besides, should he go ahead and have the accused executed for corruption, you would then claim he his a dictator. Despite the legal steps being followed, many like you still cry witch-hunting. Crying witch-hunting on Sunday, then lamenting there's been no convictions on Monday. The state of mind of a lunatic anarchist. |
kingbasil:Apparently, you are the king of joking fools. Do you think such high profile prosecution can result to convictions within 9months? Read the story below and shame your idiocy. Zanjani was arrested in 2013 |
slap1:How can one shut up at an interview? |
“So, if there’s an Islamic coalition to fight terrorism, Nigeria will be part of it because we are casualties of Islamic terrorism,” the President said. “Why can’t those Christians that complained go and fight terrorism in Nigeria or fight the militancy in the South. It’s Nigeria that matters, not the opinion of some religious bigots,” he declared. “No religion advocates hurting the innocent and just because the Muslims are the ones that claim to be Boko Haram and they are killing innocent people whether in the church, in the bus or in the market place, then I will just sit and look at them because I too am a Muslim? Islam is against injustice in any form.”Very sound opinion by Buhari. Very purposeful in action. |
Why is Iran also witch-hunting an innocent oil tycoon? Criminal minded Nigerians must be promptly mobilized to go defend this tycoon. |
