Au revoir! |
There is no security in Nigeria. NigerDelta militancy, Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen terrorists, IPOB-ESN-UGM, and Bandit terrorists have proven this many times over. |
Wow! |
Chai! God have mercy on our souls. |
Amotolongbo:The draws for the group arrangement for the 2018 world cup in Russia held in 2017. |
Interesting read, and valid points made also. The author while not proposing any solution is acknowledging there are wicked elements whose activities within the value chain of the economy, need to be put under more control. |
Where is their tension when bandits kidnap and kill many? That is not to excuse extra judicial killings, but let that same tension rise against bandits. |
ShoeGetSize:Which of those problems you mentioned was Tinubu responsible for creating that Obidients who had previously criticised Peter Obi as a failed Governor, suddenly preferred him and hated Tinubu in the run up to the 2023 presidential election? To answer your question, Every sane mind would despise a crook who is posing as who he is not. Why was Peter Obi regarded as the youth candidate? Was he young, or did he protect the youth from police brutality in Anambra state that had the most notorious Awkuzu SARS? Why was he regarded as being honest or having integrity after jumping about political parties despite the previous promises he made, and then capping it off with a desperate ticket hunting that got him Labour Party ticket despite not being a member and already participated in PDP screening? Why was he regarded as not being corrupt, despite depositing state public funds in his own bank and enjoying a growth of wealth for the bank and himself that did not exist before he was Governor? What about the fact that this corrupt soul invested state funds in a brewery that he had a stake in? Is that not a candidate for jail? Lastly, why would a politician who as at 2013 was still so insular, clannish, and myopic to the point of boasting that he will not be found campaigning in Kano or Katsina be expecting to secure national support for his own political ambition? Let them prop up Obi a thousand times, he will fail a thousand times in a national election. Or is it not the same Peter Obi that moulded Ngige in APC as a Yoruba party candidate in the 2013 Anambra gubernatorial election? The same Peter Obi who then wondered why the newly formed APC sent Nasir El Rufai to monitor elections in Anambra state, when there were Anambrarians and other SouthEasterners that he believed should have been used for such role. His tribal political game is the best in the country, and the election results underscored that fact. Lastly he has nothing to offer that he could not have offered Anambra state where he was regarded as wicked and visionless. His greatest achievement is that he saved public money, but it had to be in his own bank. Many sane minds refuse to join the band wagon of the Manchurian candidate. |
Melagros:Unhappy with positive news. Bitter soul. |
Melagros:You mean the blueprints that a PDP mole wanted to secure before going to meet Atiku? Yes Tinubu had no blueprints for that mole. Tinubu is not a beginner in politics to fall for the deceptive probings of a mole. |
Dalohad:When it happened in Zamfara in 2019, and APC was on the losing end for all legislative seats and the governorship, did it matter that the people did not vote for PDP? The law is the law. |
Olawade24:Where did he win? If the gods know, then the gods must be crazy like those who swear by their name. Did he win in Bayelsa or he won in Akwa-Ibom? Did he win in Osun or he won in Ondo? Did he win in Kogi or he won in Sokoto or Kano or Katsina or Adamawa? Those who voted for Obi managed to secure him the 3rd position. You losers need to heal from your delusion that everybody voted for Obi. Not everyone has the grace of Tinubu to contest once and win once. Buhari contested many times only to win to win at the 4th attempt. Atiku contested 3ce and aspired 3ce, and still ended his presidential ambitions in failure. Obi is already building his own body count of losses too. |
Ddeliverer007:Remind me where you saw the name of any failed politician mentioned by me. E mean say truly, you know the politician that is a loser. |
Validated:Behind the mocking is the pain of a loser. |
surgical:You mean the way one man that lost election is now doing give away to build political network? |
All I see here is the pain of a loser. |
Tinubu see this one do. Those who would benefit would still be the one to cuss at the government that it achieved nothing on this matter. |
santopelele:No country adopts a private airline as a national carrier. There are many private airlines in Nigeria, and they are all free to ply their trade just as Air Peace is doing as others did before it. |
CommonSense1967:May your commonsense not fail you. Very terrible news. |
Nikoli:Setting the pace with borrowed crew and planes? Did you ever say the same with all the failed National Airline experiment with other established Airlines that were to pose as our National Carrier? |
christejames:It is obvious. Na patch patch arrangement. |
Patch Patch arrangement showing a lack of capacity to deliver on their own. Just like all those rubbish international arrangements with the national carrier that many criticised. DeLaRue:This guy gets the story. A big shame, nothing to congratulate. So after all the noise demanding for juicy flight routes, they seriously lack the capacity to deliver. A Norwegian low cost airline for that matter. Big shame to Air Peace. |
Paraman:I agree with you. UN, US, EU, FIFA, and UEFA to the rescue. |
AustineE1:Now you know how the meal taste being served as you wouid. |
RenaissanceGuy:Sad |
hisgrace090:Very commendable. |
My own be say, let those beer parlour illiterates who always claim every cost of projects by government is to enable embezzlement, come now and clarify why $800m is spent to build capacity to generate and transmit only 181MW of electric power to just 9 local governments in a state with 17 local governments, and a country of 774 local governments. Also, the initial project cost of $250m was adjusted over the 16years to cost $800m Nothing like Naira inflation as the initial and final cost remain in dollars, yet went from $250m to $800m. Or can a private company embezzle its own funds having taken loans to fund the project and must pay back to the financier? So let the illiterates be calming down when it comes to government infrastructure projects and stop forming experts over project costing that they know nothing about
|
JuanDeDios:Agreed! My own concern is not just about removing the subsidy, but creating an enabling environment for Nigerians who claim they are poor and suffering, to still be shipping out money from our economy for the benefit of academic institutions and infrastructures abroad, while ours are dilapidated with N40k annual tuition fees. |
LexyLaw abeg calm down. We know they are drug lords, but stop reminding us that they are unrepentant drug lords who are hypocrites to falsely accuse others of the crime they freely celebrate in their villages. |
Good, but why not N800? That we still tolerate thousands of BDCs show me that CBN is yet to get serious. They are even still allowing Nigerians to buy up to $10,000 per year for education abroad with Nigerian earned funds? Any Nigerian public university has even charged up to $500 equivalent in Naira per year for tuition? Yet we say our academic institutions are dilapidated, but so eager to enable Nigerians freely move out money from our economy to aid academic infrastructure in foreign land. Is that not enough proof to stop subsiding tertiary education in Nigeria and charge like N4m to N5m per session for post graduate courses while charging N2m to N3m for undergraduate courses per year. Those who are brilliant but indigent would have scholarship schemes to exploit for their own tuition, while those who are not able to afford the fees and do not have the academic capacity to secure scholarship funding, can always take student loans and pay back over the initial 10years of their work career. We never ready to be wicked and patriotic in this country to move forward. |
DaTruths:See them in their true colours. DaTruths:The election loss of your tribal brother really hurt your soul. |
