I only accessed my masters using Wes but I've always had it in mind to someday (before travelling) access my degree for employment reasons/quest to further my education in Canada.
Unfortunately I can't deal with the current WES WAEC wahala so I'm thinking of going with iqas. Question-would I be able to use iqas evaluation for further studies in Canada?
I read somewhere its only WES that does course by course evaluation. @glitteringstar, ysteh, newmum0615 and all. Any idea? Please help clarify.
4wearegreat: How I battled with IELTS for a YEAR!!! - A long and boring story
To everyone who encouraged/advised me - (in Davido's voice) Blessing fall on you To everyone still battling with IELTS - Fire your shot again. You remember the story of Abraham Lincoln?
I rejoice with you wholeheartedly Congratulations bro. You were indeed persistent How cool is the pool?
PS: I have sharply sent your writeup to friends who have been battling ielts as well
o2: Why this advice, when i filled my own i claimed my spouse has a higher educatin but chose that he doesnt have ECA (that means it was not evaluated). By the time i got ITA there was still the space for spouse's educational document and i put his certificates.
Lets try to understand people before advising decline. If he didnt fill any ECA number pre ITA Aand didnt get marks for ECA. It is not MISREPRESENTATION.
At the end of the day, it all boils down to one thing. Did OP claim points for his wife's ECA which is not yet out?
If his CRS score on its own (without his wife's ECA point) is clearly enough to get him through yesterdays draw then it's good.
If however he claimed additional points based on his wife ECA (which has not been concluded) and without this point, his score wouldn't have fetched him yesterday's ITA then its wrong.
stevo2016: Thanks guys, someone said it doesn't matter since I will be able to upload her ECA number and result at the end of the day. I chose 'Yes' under her educational history because ECA is due for completion by 21st of September. Is this still equivalent to misrepresentation, and besides with her ECA, our score would increase from 451 to 459.Thanks.
Please please please and please again kindly decline this ITA. The wait post submission can sometimes be draining coupled with the fact that someone will be thinking and thinking "what if, what if" IT IS NOT WORTH IT!
On this thread, we have been advised time and time again not to inpute false information for ECA or IELTS reference numbers in other to land ITA. You were advised wrongly sir so decline.
Give yourself peace of mind. 5th of September to 21st September is too short. Better to wait...
It will help you as you begin your post ITA submission journey. I actually printed off that document and it was my 2nd bible during my post ITA days.
Now to answer your questions 1. Parents, siblings, step siblings (if any) 2. If it falls within the last 10 years. Yes. Update it 3. Same as above 4. Flowing from what I learnt on this thread, I decided to place it under the employment category. Others placed it under govt/military. I'm not sure if it has any serious/negative impact going with latter but I nor fit shout so I put mine as employment. 5. In my case, I simply stated " UNEMPLOYED" followed by NIL
Well spoken. @ speak2inspire, please move your husband's work experience to personal. You gain no points anyway for this unless his experience is from Canada. Dont worry yourself
masrapido: My dear people of the kingdom, you people should come and give me anti-hypertensive medication oh! These CIC people are just causing BP spikes ‘any-ha’. I just received a second ghost update since I entered IP2 on August 3. I did raise a CSE about a week ago for change of address/location. Is it typical to receive a ghost update in response to a CSE?
Kmgb: My people Finally finally it haff come, indeed its a beautiful thing,to some of us this ITA is the first golden mail,PPR will be the second. .
Big congratulations to you today Its been a long time coming and I rejoice with you See how your 440 drag because of tie break rule I can imagine how those on 399 or 398 and co have been feeling May God come through for every one of us on this journey I hope you get compensated with a speedy application period of 2 months or less-LOL
Today I pull out my good old tambourine picture to celebrate you and other ITA people. Enjoy this milestone... The real work starts now
Afro24: Alright folks....je veux aller soumettre mon passeport.
LOL @sitting on the floor for 5 hours while trying to apply. What a beautiful testimony on such a fine day Big congratulations to you. Your "never give up spirit" is worthy of emulation.
Debsify: Yes her new company can state that it acquired the old company she worked for. And it's her supervisor writing and signing the Letter, hope that will be fine? For the other ways mentioned it might be impossible, because all documents relating to old company were confiscated including her ID
Confiscated? Just wondering, did they confiscate her old employment letter, any old work letters written to her during her time there, email or communication to staff on takeover/buy out, old payslips or business card?
Well since you say the new company will state it in her letter then that's good. At the end of the day, it is presenting credible information which is enough to persuade the VO that is important. If you were the VO who is looking over your wife's refrence letter, would you be satisfied?
Personally if I were in your wife's shoe's, I will present the letter I have but do my best to include some sort of proof (discussed already) that I worked in the company that was bought over then tie it all with an LOE.
It's been good following this thread, as I have being a silent reader for months now. My wife and I have started the pre EE process..she is going to be the PA, and scored well in her IELTS LRSW: 9,9,8,7.5. We both have only BSCs. I plan to write mine later this month. We have also started the ECA process in July and awaiting transcript to be sent to WES (FUTO is slowing down things) Anyways my major concern is my wife's work experience. She has over 3 years experience inclusive of nysc in the same NOC and company, but the company was sold to another company early this year; even though she continued with the new company, we are still confused on how her reference Letter will be written, because the new company doesn't have a working website yet, and she has two years 11 months experience with the old company. What to do?
Can her new company state they acquired her old company and she has been working for xyz number of years before then?
If they cant or the HR refuses to comment on this topic then your wife can get documentation from the previous company that showed she was employed by them. She can include her old employment letter, pay slip, newspaper clipping informing the public on the sale, any documentation showing same, any documentation stating a handover from one company to the other and confirmation of her role. In short, they are many things she can do. She can add her old employee ID card, get a previous manager to write the employee reference letter in a plain sheet of paper in CIC format. In short please check page 1 on this thread for what to do in cases of a defunct company.
efueh: No No is the answer for me whether you had opened it or not, as transcript is strictly to be sent by your school to WES, to avoid stories of rejecting your documents by WES. Go and read more on this on WES website and be rightly informed.
For your second question, please visit page one and you will be well equipped on that and more. Enjoy!
Please this is very wrong. He/she can send their transcript them self. Wes allows for this as long as envelope has not been opened by op. Op just ensure envelope is sealed with school's stamp across envelope flap. Please read WES FAQ for confirmation.
bizguru000: This shows that Accra Visa Office isn't as bad as painted to be..i think the only people experiencing major delays are those that were transferred from LVO for interviews etc
GlitteringStar: For those people who used gift deed, please don’t land without your POF ooo. You will need it here at least for the first few months. Everything here is all about $$$. They didn’t ask for mine at the port of entry but I can’t even imagine myself landing with “nothing”. Please, the proof of funds is very important. You will enjoy this place if you have $$$.
Thanks for stopping by with useful info. I trust you are enjoying your new country... How is the weather? Getting cold?
In other news, happy new month y'all This is the month of CRS entering the 430's (I hope and pray) and believe.
No. I am not. If I do, its for a trip. Holiday. Just developed interest in French of late. That's all. You and Harzontorh have done an amazing job on the thread
I made a mistake while simulating my CRS. it was giving 472 until someone showed me my mistake. I recalculated and it gave me 429. I was so devastated. My problem now is with the 472 mindset, I registered ices evaluation and I have paid but yet to send any documents. Please, I want to know how I can get my money back. I want to stay down while I look for a way to increase my CRS. Thank you
Go ahead with your evaluation. Simultaneously, start exploring ways to increase your score. Dont be downcast cos your CRS is low. Even those with lower scores are in the pool and also working towards increasing their score.
As a general rule, the sooner you commence ECA, the better especially if degree is from Nigeria. Good luck
Itsawonder: So you could spam the thread with silly "congratulations" messages? As much as we're happy for all successful applicants, a like/share is enough to express this happiness. Unless you have a follow-up question to the shared "testimony", stop spamming the thread with shitty congratulations messages.
Are you for real? Are you seriously f%&£@ing for real right now? Hiss
otunbanimi: can i use this NOC 1434 Banking, insurance and other financial clerks
Please dont. It falls under class C which is not eligible for FSW. I'm terrible with NOC but check newmum's previous posts. She has done justice to bankers NOC several times. Hang in there
