doreto: I got 8.5,9,6.5,8.5 in LRWS IELTS(MOD) 1st attempt, didn't bother to remark.
Now 2nd attempt released today, my LRWS score is 8.5,9,7,7.(MOD)
With the new IELTS score, my CRS is 431. If I could max out the IELTS score to 8.5,9,7.5,8, my CRS would shoot to 437 which I believe will increase my chances if cut-off drops. I'm thinking of applying for a remark to max out my IELTS/CRS scores.I actually feel my score in writing and speaking should have been higher.
Please, is this plan advisable, achievable? Congrats on your ielts score There is no harm in seeking a remark but then you have to analyze your options critically. Even if you max out, current CRS trend has shown 437 is not a safe CRS score right now. Have you maxed out on professional courses/diploma/PGD/Masters/TEF that can help your score? If all fails, then try PNP @osazee007, how is Edmonton? |

Gashina: What's up people? My wife sent our passport to Ghana via Nigeria Vfs on the 9th of October, but till now it keeps showing "Visa application, tracking ID No.20181009GHANPPT****** Your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office, ACCRA on 09/10/2018.To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website."
When does it change to delivered or is this what it'll show till it gets dispatched back to lagos?
Thanks
ITA 8th August AOR 10th August PPR 8th October Congrats on your PPR. It is very much in order. Accra roughly takes about 3 weeks. Your status on VFS will change the moment Accra sends back your passport to Lagos |

joo2018: Congrats to everybody who aced IELTS. The rest of us, let's keep trying.
In other news, Part 1 of my Canada story almost over after 9 months since decision to travel. Spouse ECA received and IELTS results out. CRS jumping from 423 to 447. My marathon stay in the pool almost over.
Fingers crossed for next Wednesday.
NB: now I know why the number of candidates with high CRS score in the EE pool jumps from Friday to draw on Wednesday. IELTS General Training tests globally comes out the week before the draw (here). So you see people massively collecting their TRF between Friday and Tuesday and diving into the pool or updating their profile. Congratulations to you Its great to see people who give so much (on this thread) make remarkable progress on their journey. Congrats to @ OYASALOF, Eben04, sinie, Sthill5 , jmnsimone, ottawasenators, Riddler32. Ielts result appeared really really good in this batch. |

Did you submit your passport via courier? if yes, please guide me on the steps you took. I've read on their website that it's possible but I'm hoping to get real life experiences on the exact thing to do. Please help.
Thanksss I'm sorry this was not my experience so I cannot comment on it. Someone will comment soon |

Peace505: It depends. I had to pay someone to help me process it cos it's my first time of requesting for transcript the guy charged me 10k,(you know the process involved.?Uniben wahala) in less than 6weeks my transcript was ready. then 26k for courier to Wes (according to him that's what Uniben collects). Am on the secondary verification now ,which will be ready by end of this week.(still using same guy). Would have been done with Eca by now but I didn't send my cert on time cos it wasn't ready, didn't know I could use statement of result. Thank you very much for this info. I appreciate. Any others? |

@ Shyee or anyone else who used ICES for their evaluation, just wondering, how did you send the WAEC scratch card? Do you also need to send photocopy of WAEC result? I'm still not 100% sure I understand how they want their stuff done.
I evaluated my masters with WES but I wish to use a stressless and non-verification seeking body to evaluate the degree before I land. Help anyone. |

Inception12: Praise God saints, finally got my PPR in the night. Timeline below; AOR....29th May IP1.....6th June IP2 and ADR.....20th Sept PPR......3 October
ADR was for additional bank statements for pOF...i had initially only used employer pension fund statement. Thank God for this forum, I was stuck at CRS of 430 with only a bachelor's until i learnt of using ACCA diploma (for finishing papers F1 to F9) to get two or more certificate.
Thanks to all who answered my questions and helped in any way. May God bless you who are waiting for your PPR, you'll get there eventually. Congrats my fellow May ITA. Go and shine on in Canny land Congrats @ adesam91 |

123bco: Good morning. I have done EVA and waiting for IELTS result. I plan on creating this profile soon. Can I go ahead to get a reference letter from my current employer before creating profile or receiving ITA? And may I know whom it is to be addressed to? Check page 1 (of this thread) for a sample of work reference letter. You can use the address there; that was the exact same thing I did. Getting your reference is entirely up to you. How confident are you of your ielts test? What is your likely crs score? Would you most likely be picked by the next draw or three? How easy is it to get the letter from your company HR? The answers will guide you. NB: I once read on this thread that a letter no older than 3 months is an ideal timeframe. However, I have never been able to corroborate same from CIC website |

mcstan18: You have actually said it the best way it could've possibly come. I'm sure the processing and visa officers know that a Law degree is a professional degree regardless of what the ECA report says. However, I know that they work-to-rule most times without recourse to independent, fair and flexible interpretations, and so may want stick to what the report says.
Your submission is by far the most reasonable thing anyone in that condition would do - Optimize points but stay within safe limits I agree with you on this mcstan. We know her law degree is regarded as professional but if I chose Wes and my report equates it to a degree, I would not use professional while creating my EE profile but that's just me. If the VO want to upgrade then let them do it. This issue is a bit controversial with various people saying different things they saw on their report and gcms notes. I personally would err on the side of caution. @BarbaraCharles, stimulate your CRS score with degree and see what it comes to. If its above 440, then you're good to go |
