You'll find a couple of them at Gudu. Go to Gudu market, the second shopping complex on the left, Oto shopping mall I think, first shop on the ground floor; Dona autos. I get all my parts there for the same model you have. |
A whale isn't a fish... it is a mammal In developed countries, no one would be hacking a dead whale for meat! The only nutrients you'd be getting is loads of mercury. Bon appetit |
tanimola22:Extreme as it may seem, it is a possibility and I urge you not to give the government any ideas. Crude prices have been falling and the price of diesel which is fully deregulated hasn't even fallen. I only hope that the government through the PPPRA will be honest enough to adjust the pricing template to reflect the current reality and fingers crossed, they don't read your post. Hopefully, they are satisfied with the savings made from the lower prices and don't cut the subsidy deeper than necessary. |
For the proletariat, the sweet subsidy you enjoy when you fuel your car will also get cut. Prepare to pay more for fuel. This is a good thing. Subsidy has to go anyways. Mr Bricklayer, if Dangote reduces the price of cement, doesn't that mean that blocks will get cheaper? Or will that lead to an increase in the price of blocks? So why shouldn't lower crude prices lead to lower cost of petroleum products? Your argument rather should be that lower crude prices will mean that the government subsidy on petroleum products(petrol and kerosene) will reduce and if the prices fall further, totally eliminate subsidy creating savings for the government. Maybe you should stick to brick laying... but what do I know ... I'm just a tailor |
... and add to that, Kakatar CE was formerly called Mangrovetech and Mangrovetech belongs to ![]() |
What fuel subsidy? If the price of crude is falling then the price of fuel and diesel should fall as well. Why aren't we seeing a fall in the price of diesel which is fully deregulated? Secondly, we should also see a fall in the cost of fuel, assuming there is a subsidy then we should hear an announcement that the government will be spending less on subsidy than before due to the fall in prices. What we shouldn't be hearing is an increase in fuel prices due to the removal of subsidy!!!! Simple economics |
eleojo23:The judge can only sentence the landlady based on the provisions of the law for the crime committed regardless of the extent of damage caused. So if the law states that for such a crime, a prison sentence or a fine of 50,000 should be imposed, then so be it. The plaintiff can now file a civil suit against the landlady and sue for damages. In a civil suit, you can claim for any sort of damages...for property destroyed, for inconvenience caused, for trauma... and put a cash value to it. |
There is a moving company based in Gwarinpa who have such trucks. I don't know if they offer self- drive though but I saw big trucks in the premises. I cannot recall the name of the mall but it is the new mall located on 11 road off 3Rd Avenue. |
FBIolalusi:Looking at the carton, you can see sign of water damage and this compromised the packaging leading to spoilage of the contents. Most carton juices are packaged in these tetra paks. However, if there is any slight damage to these packs, the contents begin to spoil. I have experienced same with a carton of five alive which i didn't notice was damaged. In future, examine the exterior of the carton for any sign of damage and do not buy it if you notice this. |
The recommended engine oil for your car is 0W-30 or 5W-30. Total oil does not conform to this specification and the Mobil oil you find at the filling stations do not. You can look around for milemaster (available on konga) or go to shops that stock OEM Toyota Engine oils. |

CityNG: And like I said earlier I will never thank you now or later because you're wrong.Oh! I have no background or experience in automotive HVAC. I'm just a user; I get in my car switch it on and cool air comes flowing in. I don't even want to know where it comes from neither do I have the experience to install AC in any car of mine maybe because I buy them factory fitted. I also have never experienced the above stated problem. Note that if you read my post, I never laid claims to being an expert rather I relied on experiences of others by asking the chief savings, Mr. Google. All I proposed was a simple fix which had worked for others and note, cleaning a clogged filter won't set you back more than 50 naira which the tyre repair man will take to blow air over it. I appreciate your expertise in the field of installation of automotive HVAC and won't challenge that. What do I know sef!!! All I proposed was something that worked for my friend and has worked for others. So if ever I buy a carry and the AC light is blinking, I will try out my cheap kakamimi solution first before calling you to come and fix it for me. That's why you are the expert. Like I said do some research and thank me later later for my kakamimi solution ![]() |
CityNG: You're mistaken as I won't be thanking you nor later. You seem so certain. I became aware of this when a friend of mine approached me with this issue. As I wasn't an expert in the field, I told him I had to ask Mr.Google and my searches came up with that as a probable cause. I told him my findings and said he could try that for a start which he did and the problem went away. So am I absolutely wrong or was it a fluke? Fact...it worked. Fact...it has worked for others. Conclusion: I'd try that for a start before I go to a garage where they'd tell me it is my relay or blown compressor or clutch or AC thermostat or 'boris' or the witch in my village who has place a curse on my car. Like I said earlier...Thank me later ![]() |
CityNG: A clogged HVAC filter will cause the AC light to blink?Could not will... Do some research and you will find that this happens. Thank me later ![]() |
Check your cabin air filter. It is usually located behind the glove compartment. A clogged filter could cause that |
Dear OP, First and foremost, you need to be sure of your unit of measurement. Is it miles or Kilometers? A mile is 1.609km so you cannot use them interchangeably. To find out what your car uses, look at your speedometer; what is the major unit (the outer numbers on the dial)? That will tell you easily if your odometer is in miles or km. If i should go by your claims that you covered 705 miles which is about 1134Km with 49.5 litres of fuel, that comes to 22.9km/litre (about 53mpg) ....which i must say is err...extremely efficient for your car. So lets say that it isn't 705 miles but 705 km, now that will be 14 km/l (about 33mpg)... that is possible but not doing intra-city driving. So going by your information, Yes your car is fuel efficient but that is going by your information and assuming my calculations are correct. |
Specialist900: I don't remember the mechanic resetting the MAINT REQD light after the oil change.Press the Odometer button till it shows actual mileage, not Trip A or Trip B. Switch off ignition. Hold down the odometer button and turn your ignition to the 'ON' position, keep holding it down and you should see 5 dashes, then 4,3,2,1 the all zeros then your mileage will come back to the display and the light should go off. |
Specialist900: Sorry to digressYour MAINT REQD light blinking and going off indicates that your vehicle requires an oil change soon. If i recall, it starts flashing at 4,000 miles and stays on permanently at 5,000 miles.Since it has been 2 months since your last service and you haven't done that much miles, then it must be that you carried out the oil change in between the service intervals. I would suggest that you ignore the light when it stays on permanently and use the car till your next service. When you perform the next oil change, reset the MAINT REQD light and carry out subsequent services at those intervals of 5000 miles. |
The recommended Toyota coolant comes pre-mixed so you do not need distilled water. It is the Toyota pink radiator coolant in a black bottle; comes in 1 liter and 4 liter containers pre-mixed. |
There is an ABC terminal at Ibadan...ABC is by far the safest luxury bus company. However, the speed is limited to 90km/ hour and the bus comes from Lagos so depending on traffic and whatever may delay the bus, you may not leave Ibadan till 10-11 am and arrive Abuja till 10 PM. However, the buses are comfy, fully air-conditioned and if nollywood or wrestling is your thing, they show that on the in-bus entertainment screens. |
Front shocks - KYB brand - between 40 and 45k rear shocks - 35k. Brake disk - 45k. |
What of Wendel Simlin? |
As if moving in 'slow mo' is the proper thing to do! They are reminding you to use your brain, park, put a spare on and drive to the nearest repair shop. |
Tomicell, your corolla uses the type IV. You need to drain that lube metro dextron III. It will damage your transmission ... Repair cost : 120k for a new transmission... Cost of type IV fluid: btwn 6-8k. Do the maths!! |
Check your fuses...under the driver side dashboard |
adeniyisavage: i have confirmed that the bushings have been worn out...i would like to know how much the bushings or the entire control arm cost?SAVO!!!!!! Ebute 1 of Ebutte Meta |
True talk! My engine check light came on one time. I did a scan and discovered it was an error code relating to my oxygen sensors. I went to a mechanic and in his word " Oga, leave am, na so 'Belgium' vehicles dey do. The light no mean anything, i go call 'rewire' wey go disconnect the light so e no go show again" On the flip side, many auto-diagnostic outfits have these diagnostic machines and don't have a clue as to what the codes mean. At one place, he scanned the car, the code showed up, i asked him what it meant (i already googled it and knew it was my O2 sensors), he didnt have a clue or what to do next even though the outfit claimed they were auto-mechanics too. |
I've been opportuned to use the 2005 Corolla S and currently the 2009 Corolla S. Between the two i actually prefer the 2005 model and wouldn't have given that up if not that a mechanic messed with the gearbox. I used the 2005 model for 2 years and apart from the gearbox issue caused by using the wrong fluid, i experienced no issues with it with very low maintenance cost and spares. I have use the 09 model for about a month now and it has been mixed feelings...i miss my factory 6 loader in the 05 model and the presence of the O/D switch on the gearstick ( not like i ever used it) but i love that the 09 plays mp3 so i can have hundreds of songs on one CD with the added aux, i guess a lil more HP though i never drive past 80 km/hr and remote starting. The feel of the steering in the 09 is a bit light ( i think it is electronically assisted) but the drive is smooth and less noisy interior than the 05. I haven't had to do any major repairs yet apart from the usual servicing so i cannot comment much about the cost of parts. I feel the 05 is stronger but i love the body style of the 09. |
Chemvic, you can see the different brands of 5w30 engine oils available. His number is 08035398709...Dona Auto Link Ltd. Hopefully if you discuss with him he can ship to you and if he cannot let me know, i might be able to pick up on your behalf and send them to you via any transporter.

chukwuinya: i hav neva heard of any social protection scheme before, what is it all about when that one start for this naijaIt is a social safety net programme known as conditional cash transfer(cct). As the name implies it is conditional and if an individual or household meets certain conditions, they are entitled to join the scheme. It isn't always sharing of 'free' money; it varies from State to State. For instance, Ogun State targets pregnant women;who must attend ante natal and prenatal care sessions. In return, they are paid an allwance and are given a 'Mama Kit'. IN Ondo STate, beneficiaries are targeted frm househlds classified as extremely poor and are given a Basic INcome Guarantee(BIG) of 5000 mnthly for a certain number of months and then given a lump sum which I cannt remember called a PRAI (poverty reduction accelerator investment) to set up a business. |
