Hello house, after submitting my student visa application online with an amount far more than the required fund ($15000 NZ) in my name with my pay slips and my employment contract to show prove of fund. INZ is till saying that they are not sure that I will have access to sufficient fund during my stay in NZ.
Please do anyone have experience on this issue?. I even added landed properties of my family and prove of my relationship with them. Should I use a sponsorship letter to show that I will have access to sufficient fund and clearly state that the required amount will be transferred to my account to take care of my second and third year? .
Thanks so much.

Normally, for that bonafide thingy, they require documents to show socio economic ties like job, landed properties and/or marriage.
For me, I am not married.
So I submitted employment letter, letter of approval of study leave from my employer, letter of introduction by my employer to the embassy, you can add payslips too.
I don't have any properties so I submitted copies of my father's landed properties, his international passport data page and also added my birth certificate showing his name as my father to proof we are related.
I also added family pictures to show all my family is in Nigeria...I did also state this in my cover letter.
I added scans of previous visas I have obtained to show I have a good travel history.
Lack of proof of socio economic ties is what delayed my visa.
Please add whatever proof you can, if you have a business and it is registered, you can add the certificate from CAC.
Whatever strong reasons you have included in your letter, add document(s) to proof.
Goodluck with your application.
Thanks so much.

Worry about the first visa for now.

Thanks very much for helping me out @cconcept. Please do you have an idea of what I can submit to show that am a bonafide student to the immigration New Zealand. Secondly, apart from stating in the statement of purpose my strong reasons that will make me to return to my home country after completion, is there any document(s) again I can submit to further proof it more.
I really appreciate your efforts.

If you have used a sponsor for your first visa.. You must continue to use the SAME for subsequent applications.
If you don't have the means to back up the NZD15, 000 you have in your account, I will advise you use a sponsor.

Thanks for your reply @cconcept. I have my payment slips to back up the $15000NZD in my account. My main question comes from, how i can convince the immigration New Zealand that i can subsequently take care of my second and third year expenses. Is it true that immigration New Zealand are only interested in the $15000NZD for the first year and don't care how the applicant pay for the remaining year.

Hello house, I have my unconditional offer from University of Auckland for my PhD study and I have also paid the tuition fee as stated in my admission letter. I have the stipulated amount for one year required fund according to Immigration New Zealand, plus extra fund for on-board flight fund.
Please my question is, is it necessary to use my parents as sponsors for the second and third year of my study, since my study is three years or the $15,000 NZD in my account is sufficient to show immigration New Zealand for my student visa?
Thanks so much for your advice in advance.
Best regards.

Your question brings us back to what we are really missing on this thread...I don't know if am gonna step on toes, but the feedback available after getting visa is really poor. People just tend to gain from something and NEVER give back.

Back to you Brother without elaborating much because of some confidential details...one thing about the southern States like Munich is that they are quite expensive in terms of accommodation and cost of living but there is more than enough job to go round...the Bavarian accent too is something else but there are quite a number of English speakers...If you want a metropolitan life Munich in the south will give it to you..there are other smaller (relative) southern cities which are less expensive but still good. e.g Nuremberg, Fürth, Ingolstadt, Augsburg, Würzburg, all in Bavaria and Stuttgart, Reutlingen, Heilbronn in Baden Württemberg. Hamburg in the north is not as rich as the south, but its a great metropolis one can survive in although relatively colder but with a clearer accent.

The thing you should consider as a new migrant I think is to know where you know someone so that you can settle better and more easily then may be move on when you have found your bearing.
PM ogbeche77, he schools in Munich and should be able to give you a more detailed description. While you are at it, you can register with toytown-germany and look up similar questions or ask about your city of interest if the people there can help with information (note that people there are not the street hustling type and their view may be 'buttered' kind of)

My 2 cowries!

******************************************************
I want to make some truthful comments, in respect to people who had crossed over excluding those who are just settling and finding their bearing. Most have really gained from the combined wisdom of this thread, travel dreams and aspirations which have been nurtured right to the extent of leaving the shores of the nation but after that people tend to just easily forget the thread and never come to add from their experiences after gaining from others... which is rather exploitative and selfish or will I say snobbish..There was a thread on German student's survival, none hardly visit but look at the UK's equivalent, very very vibrant and great ideas are shared.
How I just wish I had my visa already I could have revived it or at least carry on from where they stopped. I understand that study could be intense and hustle demanding, but if all that were on this thread and left successfully for Germany spends just 10 minutes a week to post something, this thread would be the best by far.
I hail those ogas who visit from time to time though.
I hail some selfless dudes like Naijaobi (who has been present from page 2or 3) Beebee5000, Kelly4top, junipro and some others who show up from time to time.
Just saying something as short and meaningless as "Rostock is quite a cold and interesting place" can inspire someone out there as someone also inspired you when you didn't even know what a certified copy is.
This thread was inspired by suxes2005 by just mere observation that getting German visa was relatively easy and that simple post have helped so many either directly or indirectly.

Well, ama introduce the 'Eke40seven meets.... on German JJC moments', a sorta interview for new comers to Germany.

..........coming soon
my greetings to the house. What you said is true in a way but on the other hand is because of the academic stress here is too much. I like what you are doing including others. Thanks.

Na Emirates o, had to leave a lot of my clothes behind but made sure I came with my long sleeves, flat shoes, jeans, sweaters and jackets. Food stuff, not much at all. I paid about 119k for the flight and my luggage was 2kg overweight but a kind staff at the check in counter waived it for me. The flight was to Frankfurt.
I also booked emirate but I don't really understand their luggage stuff. Is the 30KGS made up of 2 separate luggages each 15kg or is only one luggage weighing 30kgs. Thanks.

I have received calls this morning to bathe with salty warn water but is not rational, medically wrong. No research have confirmed that.
I pray that this bathing with salt in Nigeria will not result to another deadly virus that may be more harmful than Ebola.

I am sorry for not commenting in the house though is due to the insult I received from one guy in this thread so I decided to get my visa before I will start commenting on the thread.

Oga pls stop giving wrong information. Which one is official signed sealed transcript? And who says u don't certify transcript if u are sending to uni-assist?
My transcript was official, signed, sealed and delivered to me yet I opened it, photocopied it and certified it then sent it to 15 schools including uni-assist. U don't have to collect 15 transcripts from ur school to apply to 15 schools whether original or official. One copy is enough.
The only difference is, if ur school will be sending ur transcript direct to the University or uni-assist, they don't have to certify it cos it won't be open but if the transcript enters ur hand, u need to open it and certify the photocopies before u send them.
U can certify documents at either the German embassy in Lagos for free or at a notary public for a fee. I used notary public for all my documents and they were accepted. Confirm which one ur school requires and go ahead.
please let's be careful the way we respond to others. read the guys post very well before commenting on it because he said the same thing u are saying. thanks.

Ogbeche77: embassy clearly stated WAEC or any other O'Level certificate, don't think NABTEB can be used in lieu of that... I may be wrong though
embassy accepts NABTEB.
My question is whether NABTEB and WAEC certificates can be replaced incase of burned documents.

Katangora: bros, which stage exactly are you in this german student visa stuff, earlier this year, you said you went for interview, you were going for masters.. Later you said your school enrollment date was close by, so embassy asked for deferment whixh the sch didn't give you...
Later you posted you were searching for schools against summer session, now na NABTEB certificate you dey make inquiry on again...
Not trying to be rude, but all your post appears inconsistent
I defered my admission at Bauhaus university Weimar. I started searching for other schools when my friends in Germany asked me to do so, so that I will not put my eggs in one basket, since I still have my money in the block account. I have also applied to university of stugartt, still waiting for their acknowledgment. I am to apply to TUM by January.
please do any one have any important information concerning the replacement of NABTEB and WAEC certificates.

please I need an advice. can NABTEB and WAEC replace their certificates incase of burned document? secondly, will the embassy accept confirmation of certificates.

as I was just going through German embassy website to see other changes, I came across this on the section of INFORMATION ON VERIFICATION OF NIGERIA DOCUMENTS: School certificates of Primary and Secondary School (Should the school certificates have been lost, the school can issue a letter of confirmation in which the school attendance and the period of time is confirmed).
Below is the link: download it, is on PDF file, page 2.

My fellow Nigerians, we have really suffered in the hands of whites. had it been that Nigeria is comfortable to stay, I would have shun anything about travelling to another country. But as it is that we have found ourselves in this situation, it is now left for us to amend the errors our father's did to make Nigeria a COMFORTABLE place so that our dear children will not suffer such a thing.
By Gods Grace, no matter the changed requirements, we must make it in JESUS NAME, AMEN.
