Wait o, so you did not get morning sickness at all? I don't mind small morning sickness so that dh can pamper me well well.

someone asked what we did the last 3 cycles before getting a bfp. Pardon me, this is a very long post

Id start from September, Dh and i had contacted a clinic for IVF procedures (refferals from a colleague)..The clinic prefers helping couples get natural bfp so they do an infection test and prescribe drugs and advise the couple to try to conceive for about 3 months after completion of the drugs. The test is done using the womans menstrual flow (you can google 'Greek hidden C test) and if positive to any of the tests, you are prescribed antibiotics for a period of time. Unfortunately i was unable to send to send the sample from Nigeria (to Greece) because DHL claimed they dont send biological samples. My colleague went ahead to send me the prescription they took and Dh and i took the drugs..it was supposed to be for 25days but i could not finish because i got sick (i thought it was morning sickness ) but i took the drugs till about day 18.

October: I took Femara (letrozole) from CD3 to CD7 and i continued taking my regular concoction (fertilaid, vitamin E, marina 1000, metformin)...by 3rd week dh and i traveled on vacation and i left all the drugs at home so absolutely no medication. Although i had a UTI and was prescribed antibiotics for 7 days and 1 capsule after intercourse with dh... The UTI was recurrent hence the low dose antibiotics after intercourse.

November i was able to send my menstrual sample from the country i was in for vacation for the tests to be done. November 23 i started my weightloss regime i stated in my previous comments..i dropped all drugs for ttc and was only taking selAce for immune boosting, the antibiotics after intercourse for UTI, dulcolax and swedish bitters for colon cleaning.

December: substituted dulcolax and swedish bitters for fat burner, ecoslim and metformin for weightloss and selAce for immunity. Meanwhile, i got the result of the test back and it came back positive for 1 out of the 10 tests they did. So Dh and I had already planned to start the drugs treatment in January because we would be on leave and the antibiotics makes dh purge. Although we were still planning for IVF in April but Dh was convinced that after taking the prescribed drugs we wouldn't need the procedure...

I wasnt sure when i had my last period and because the inositol in the fat burner helps women with PCOS, i was trying to see if i would ovulate. Note that i had never seen a positive ovulation test except when on medication (clomid)..i forgot to check when i took the femara so i dont know if i ovulated then. Anyways, i tested with wondfo ovulation test strip and got a positive. Bd'd with dh..next day i tested again it was positive and when by the 3rd day it was still positive i decided to buy a cheap pt strip, lo and behold it came out positive too.

September mothers, who else has absolutely no preggy symptoms? Apart from slightly high body temperature, I feel nothing.

This is indeed our year of daily bfp announcement!!!! Soon the occupants of this thread would be women that are yet to get married who just want to get tips before time.

Chili89, same thing happened to me.... My tips stopped being sore but I goggled and read it was quite normal so there is nothing to worry about. The God that put our LOs in our womb would protect them until they are ready to be born in Jesus name.

chili89 and uglybetty1 congrats on your bfp. I wish you a healthy and happy 9months. Uglybetty1 i think you should go see your doctor just to confirm that everything is fine, i believe you are fine tho.

Olubankemi iyaibeji, congrats sis. I think this purging helps issues o. Because this my weightloss pills made me purge like no mans business. infact i was even scared to BD with Dh cos i was scared of pooping on myself

Shofas, as disheartening as your story sounds i can say that it could have turned out worse. I have read of spouses intentionally infecting their partners with the deadly virus but that wasnt the case for your sister. I think your brother-inlaw is humane...

I believe your sister can still do IVF for reproduction while continuing to use protection during intercourse. You would be surprised the number of couples who live with the virus weather both or one. HIV is no longer a death sentence, as long as it is adequately managed.

ebony13 thank you. That is because I attribute my BFP to no other than God. Maybe the exercises helped, maybe the drugs and life style changes helped but my ever faithful God did it for me.

I started the exercises and detox at the end of November. I dint lose much on the scale but i lost inches all over my body..arms, thighs, stomach.. if I had continued till January like i planned i should have hit my target.

Exactly LadyGuinivere. if you noticed, i used past tense in my write up. I had to stop all that a few days ago because i was confirmed PREGNANT!!! Yes my God of surprises surprised us when we least expected.

After 2 years of actively TTC, buying and trying all i read on the internet just to get pregnant i get pregnant on the 1 month i was not trying.
My plan was to lose weight before the end of january so i can redo an IUI but Gods plan for us was different.

Fruitfulwoman, ladyGuinvere is very correct. Although i went for a bit more drastic approach cos i was planning to lose 14kg before January so i can resume TTC and because i always had issues with constipation.

So i started out with a detox/colon cleanse
-squeeze lemon in warm water and drink first thing in the morning
-my detox juice (i bought a juicer) contents were -celery, apple, cucumber, green pepper, (parsley occassionally),lemon and ginger root. i drink this right after the lemon water
-swedish bitters mixed in water i took all through the day
-also got dulcolax (laxative), took that for 3 days.
-the plan was to continue with living bitters after the swedish bitters finishes cos i had just started my period when i started the detox and living bitters was not recommended for women in their period. I bought living bitters, took 1 spoon and trashed the damn thing! that shii is bitter!!!!!!!

Typical meal plan was: Breakfast- 2 eggs
Lunch- moi moi or grilled chicken and steamed vegetables
Dinner- chicken peppersoup, vegetable soup with little oil or just lots of watermelon
snack in between meals, fruits or nuts. Lots of water all through the day

Exercise routine: started out slow initially ..started with 30mins everyday but ended up doing 2 hours in the gym 4 or 5 times a week. 1hr cardio and 1 hr weight training. Best way to stay disciplined is to find someone to workout with...it helps with motivation

My pharmacists also added some drugs. A brand of orlistat (Ecoslim or Xenical) and fat burner supplement (it contains inositol and vitamin B6 which is wonderful for women with PCOS). Orlistat is prescribed for obese people, it breaks down the fat and you pass it out as oil in your stool. so you see oil in your faeces, that kind of discourages you from eating meals that are cooked with red oil (at least it did that to me )

Hello hauz, I jst got a shocking sfa this evng. Dh's sfa that used to be 40m has dropped to 15m with moderate growth of staph and pus cells. Pls nd pls, what can he take to boost his fluid?

He has to treat the staph.....its the infection that is affecting the count.

Does anyone have stories about Abu dhabi POE? I went through there on my recent trip and wasnt asked a single question. we were only told to finger print and move on (absolutely no queues too), but the purpose of the trip was vacation. Wondering if its same for pregnant women...
