Those international company brought in foreigners and pay them in Naira an equivalent of minimum wage or more in their home countries, where's the citizens which is their land their inheritance their government are paid below national minimum wage with disrespect on top. God punish davil and anyone supporting any Nigeria leader. There should be proper checkmate to how those international pay our people our land and how they pay their nationals. Eg. Lebanon minimum wage is equivalent to 500k they pay their citizens whereas they barely pay Nigerians 30K. How disrespect. At the end Nigeria girls TOTO go suffer Them go disrespect and abuse the society.
So shut up with all this bulshit you are posting.
Make good research before you post nonsense Tackle impunity and injustice.
Don't blame foreigners if Nigerian women are LovePeddler. Nigerians cannot travel to Lebanon or China without a Visa and any attempt to abuse their women will be attacked by their local communities.
wittywriter: Self denial doesn't change reality...how much have you earned this year? Convert it to any foreign currency then judge your effort.
That NLer is one of the many stupid gullible electorates i told you will enable rigging for corrupt politicians. Just imagine the slowpoke saying it's easier to make it in Nigeria when even multiple multinational companies are folding up to move out...even the president is begging for investors...very anyhow thinking and dumb electorates.
Wittyness.
Maybe the Chinese, Indians and Lebanese see opportunities that Nigerians cannot see. Nigerians are looking for work, while foreigners are looking for business opportunities.
Lebanese, Indians and Chinese are known vulture tourists, they are usually visible at places considered dead to scavenge the remains. If you guys are not shameless you would not open mouth and mention them
Even at that, from two countries of combined 2.7 billion desperate people, only 90,000 plus dared to come. Again the total number of Visa on Arrivals was ONLY 52000 people HABA! Truly the country is dead. Lets compare. Kenya 1.2 Million VOA, Ghana 700,000+ VAS, Senegal 450,000 Plus VOA, Benin Republic 220,000+ VOA
THERE IS GOD OH!
Maybe the Chinese, Indians and Lebanese see opportunities that Nigerians cannot see. Nigerians are looking for work while foreigners are looking for business opportunities.
ArewaNorth: I guess u don't follow anything about Nigeria. Buhari administration reached agreement with Korea through their envoy in February this year for the "quick fix" of Kaduna refinery and the work commenced. Again, Buhari approved the rehabilitation of both PHC and Warri refinery since last year and the work commenced too. Engineering work isn't singing which you can composed and start singing in a day or few days. There is need of frame work, studying of design plan, lots of legal and financial agreements before stsrtiny the work which must take months to complete!
oluwaseyi0: Another lamba Government has no business running business
Sell all the refinery to private investors
South Korean government operate their electricity corporation, and Norway's oil and gas is government-owned. The Saudi Government owns Aramco. You should say that Nigerians are not competent to handle enterprise businesses.
Horus: Lies, they have assembly plants. Nord has two assembly plants in Lagos: a 2,100m2 factory in Sangotedo where it currently assembles all eight models; the second 5,400m2 plant in Epe is still under construction. When completed, assembly of the models will move to the new facility and manufacturing of components will be done in Sangotedo.
GAC Motors In Partnership With Lagos State Government Inaugurates Automobile Assembly Plant In Lagos
Olodo, where are they assembling parts in that video? That is a storage unit and car maintenance; there is not one single evidence of assembly in that video.
Nigerians are very gullible; share the minute where there is some assembly in that video.
olakraft: There is nothing spectacular about the design? Which Nigerian auto maker has ever made a car as sleek as this?
Y'all should learn to appreciate good things.
GAC and Nord are not automakers. There is no evidence that they have an assembly plant. All they do is import cars and market them as assembled products.
Tochj: This is why GEJ lost He was trying to make Nigeria Elections fair and credible Then Tinubu and APC used his kindness against him and foist the worst Human calamity against Nigeria called Buhari. Since then Nigeria has been going down.
Wrong!
You don't understand the subject matter. It's not GEJ duty to make the Nigeria election fair and credible.
The government institution, the FEDERAL STATISTICS OFFICE IN SWITZERLAND, did its job effectively and corrected the electoral office mistake. The government and other political institutions agreed to rerun the election within three months. The Swiss institutions are working.
In Nigeria, where was the is Nigeria Bureau of Statistics to provide oversite of a sham election? Why has the Judiciary been a complete joke?
The FEDERAL STATISTICS OFFICE IN SWITZERLAND did a review on TUESDAY... That is,, TWO DAYS AFTER THE RESULTS WERE DECLARED..!! And they even apologized for delaying the review this much.!! (Notice that the whole review took less than ONE DAY to run and complete.)
It means that the Results were declared on the same Sunday,, the same day on which the elections took place.
BluntCrazeMan: Go back and read the news again abbeggii.. .. ..
It means that the Results were declared on the same Sunday,, the same day on which the elections took place. .. .. This is what we call Adequate Checks And Balances Put In Place.. The Institutions in Switzerland Are Strong And Functioning Properly..
They found the errors, traced the source of the errors, and owned up, and made corrections immediately..
. . In another country,, they had a monumental glitch which was introduced by them, and this glitch caused an untold amount of catastrophe. Yet they were even defending the glitch. And they never even owned up to the numerous problems caused by the glitch which they had already accepted.
When they say Nigeria lacks institutions, this is what they mean.
The entire civil services in Nigeria has collapse that's why government policies can never work.
Rostikol: CAR MANUFACTURING IS THE EXACT SAME THING AS CAR ASSEMBLY.
ZERO DIFFERENCE.
IN THE USA CAR MANUFACTURING PLANTS ARE CALLED CAR ASSEMBLY PLANTS.
IT IS ONLY IN NIGERIA THAT PEOPLE THINK THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MANUFACTURING AND ASSEMBLY.
They are not the same thing.
Assembly is the final stage of manufacturing. Most car companies assemble their cars and source manufacture parts from their suppliers, large companies such as Jaguar Land Rover Assemble also manufacture 40% of its parts.
Telsa assemble and manufacture
[Tesla, Inc. operates plants worldwide for the manufacture of their products, including electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, solar shingles, chargers, automobile parts, and manufacturing equipment and tools for its own factories. The following is a list of current, future and former facilities.
seunmsg: The truth is that a lot of Nigerians are exactly like the greedy officials that sold out the country for peanuts to P&ID. Corruption know no politicial parry, religion or ethnicity. It is simply endemic among Nigerians. This very sad case happened under Yar'adua/Jonathan. Today, these two former leaders are praised as saints. If not for the effort of Buhari and Malami in particular, this scam against Nigeria would have been successful as the Jonathan administration was already discussing payment terms before Buhari took over.
In fact, the kind of bashing Buhari, Tinubu and APC would have gotten if Nigeria had lost the case would have been deafening. Atiku, Obi, Rufai and other haters of Nigeria would have been falling on each other in a struggle to see who can come up with the most asinine statement against the APC government. Today, they are all quiet and pretending like nothing significant was achieved.
Nigeria shall continue to win over all her enemies.
It was the effort of the Oyingbo legal systems that saved Nigeria.
In 2017 Buhari and Malami didn't even have the court hearing, and P& ID were offered the $6.6 billion award.
Buhari and Tinubu have done more damage to Nigerians beyond losing the P&ID case. Under Buhari and Tinubu, Nigeria's GDP has dropped from $570 billion to $395 billion. The country's external debt is now $60 billion and reserves less than $5 billion. I would have rather lost the P&ID case than have 8 years of Buhari and Tinubu
erico2k2: we are not talking about what Nigeria can produce, Im talking about what you as an individual produce cos this is what its all about
I produce complex software payment systems for eprocurement - I owe my own company, BTW. The problem is Nigeria is not a conducive environment to be productive. Poor education, unsecured environment, lack of clean waters, lack of electricity and incompetent fiscal and monetary significantly impact productivity. Nigeria is also one of the most untrustworthy societies in the world.
The country has the capabilities to be a steel, refined oil, petrochemical, Aluminium, automobile and ship producer in less than 3 years if it had a committed leader that wasn't interested in stealing oil resources.
President Bola Tinubu as Minister of Petroleum Resources appointed Heineken Lokpobiri as the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil) and Ekperikpe Ekpo as Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas) in August 2023. They replaced Timipre Sylva who took over the Ministerial portfolio in August 2019.
Smart countries will take advantage of the slump in imports to increase local production of exportss, but it will take committed leadership and dedicated people
Nigerians generally apply to government positions to steal. A government official is not interested in how they can serve or interested in their financial remuneration but in how they can use the government office to steal government funds.
Acekidc4: People should give Tinubu time, he will surely perform and do wonders. You all will thank him later. Things are really bad, we all know but it won't be for long.
You gave Buhari 8 years when it was obvious that he was out of his depth in 6 months, I don't see anyone thanking Buhari. The more time you give Tinubu, the more problems he causes for Nigeria. In the UK the moment they noticed that Liz Truss was incompetent they got rid of her in less than two months.
TMKsouth: I was wondering when a white worshipper would finally enter the thread.
This Somalia statistic of yours, any proof to back it up🤷🏽♂️
He is right; look at the mess that we call Nigeria. We can't turn God's Gift in oil and gas into an advantage.
Had Zuma continued in government, SA would have been worse than Nigeria, it was under Zuma's government that corruption in the energy and transport industry started.
Corruption within Nigeria is why this problem occurred in the first place; a $40 million deal with a daily interest rate of $1 million was contorted from the playbook of corrupt Nigerian elites. Will Tinubu now go after the Nigerians involved in this corruption that would have crippled the country? When the president always presents themselves as minister of petroleum resources, what do you expect
Two lawyers stand to win as much as $3 billion (€2.8 billion) in a legal battle over one of the biggest-known arbitration awards, but their careers are at stake if a crucial London verdict goes against them.
Seamus Andrew and Trevor Burke are set to get payouts of about $2.2 billion and $850 million respectively if Nigeria loses its case and pays an $11 billion arbitration award in full. The West African nation’s lawyers alleged the duo discussed destroying evidence, used illicitly obtained privileged documents, agreed to unlawful fee arrangements and overlooked corruption.
The two lawyers are not on trial in the civil case, in which Nigeria asked a judge to scrap the arbitration award won by US hedge fund-backed firm Process & Industrial Development Ltd (P&ID). But if the state wins, the two could lose their careers, Nigeria’s lawyer said. Both Mr Andrew and Mr Burke denied all allegations of wrongdoing during cross examination.
GanagiBitrus: Ok. But give them credit for the AI Collar Technology and Wild Life Conservation Initiative in general. That's essentially what has prevented those animals from extinction.
Give credit to Africans for preserving their wildlife to the stage the Europeans can evolve to value wildlife conservation.
Why is the evidence that the factory has been automated Innosson factory
Chief executive officer of the company, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, who stated this on Tuesday, also said Innoson has increased its annual factory capacity from 10,000 vehicles to 60,000, an increase of about 500 per cent.
this is the first line of the article but its funny that u missed it
Tinubu introduced palliatives after "removing" fuel subsidy. is palliatives not subsidy?
according to you "Had Nigeria removed subsidies and invested in repairing and building new refineries".
but once again, am not sure how u read the article where it was clearly stated that "the government spent N11.350 trillion to rehabilitate Nigeria’s three refineries that have never refined a single drop of petrol".
let me ask. Is Tinubus welfare as president being subsidised?
are governors being subsidised?
is the national assembly being subsidised?
if Nigeria is too broke to fund subsidies as u claim, how come Tinubu is employing more than 50 ministers? where will he get money to pay them and fund their looting?
The GEJ government spent N11.350 trillion on TAM with no results.
In 2021 the Buhari government started investing $2.5 in rehabilitation and upgrading all the refineries. The rehabilitation was with reputable companies from Italy, Japan and S Korea. I respect your concerns that the government cannot be trusted.
MrHyde: Excuses are being generated to prevent the commissioning in December. If you voted for this party without values, I hope you have enough resources to cater for you and yours. Winter is coming!
Less than 29% of Nigeria's votes were counted; you can't blame Nigerians for APC and Tinubu's disastrous government, considering he won only 8.6 million of 97 million registered electorates.
Nigeria is too broke to fund subsidies on imported refined fuel. Falana was wrong to support keeping subsidies in 2012. Had Nigeria removed subsidies and invested in repairing and building new refineries, Nigeria would have been a net exporter of refined oil and petrochemicals products.
Nigeria needs a hydrocarbon tsar to coordinate the industrialisation of Nigeria's oil, petrochemical and refinery industries; this is $200 billion annually if adequately managed. By the end of 2024, Nigeria will have nearly 1.3 million barrels per day refinery capacities equivalent to Singapore's yearly export of $50 billion in refined products.
The government-owned refineries must be taken out of the hands of government officials and listed on the public stock exchange.
The Port Harcourt refinery is undergoing a $1.5 billion upgrade after Italy's Tecnimont was awarded the contract to carry out the work in 2021. The revamp will take 44 months to complete, the oil ministry said in April last year. The Warri and Kaduna Refineries are also being upgraded and rehabilitated. This differs from the wasteful TAM used to siphon valuable funds. Nigeria has a total Refinery capacity of 450,000 barrels per day refinery.
The country is now pinning its hopes of ending fuel imports on a 650,000 barrels per day refinery being built to by Aliko Dangote, Africa's richest man.
In 2012 during the OccupyNigeria protests sparked by the removal of petrol subsidies (which Sanusi helped inspire), Femi Falana told Sanusi at a forum that removing subsidies from petrol would lead to an increase in the cost of transportation, which would trigger inflation that would inflict incalculable hurt on the lives of millions of Nigeria.
misreal: Nigerians don't trust their electoral process. Secondly, what is the population of Nigeria compared to the number of voters turned out in Liberia?. The population of Liberia is 5million, with over 78percent voter turn out, and the population of Nigeria is well over 200million with voter turn out of over 10million.. Wetin I dey talk sef?
Someone anticipated you will come out with this dumb statement
