If you have families in Ikorodu, tell them to stay indoor from 10pm to 5.30am if you truly love them, to be forewarned is to be forearmed No mind them. Let them go to benin and say such. They don't give curfew warnings during spiritual festivals n rituals in benin, they just announce that so-so is coming up on so-so date #datsall. Any indigene that walks @nyt during that time is spared but strangers dey hear am. |

Alvaropromise: If it is not...den so is candidiasis... #academicpoison. Though candidiasis has not been classified as an STI yet, it can be contracted tru sexual intercourse by men, while medicatn/douching can make women predisposed to it. Yellow discharge frm d vagina with foul smell is the sign, while burning sensation (male n female) and itching of the vagina (women) are the symptoms. candidiasis is caused by the yeast candida albicans which is a normal flora in ladies. It has positive functns in the vagina as it keeps the place regulated. However, when an imbalance in the system occurs which favours the organism to grow to higher population in the v area, then candidiasis occurs; and men become infected when they have sex with such lady. Its easy to treat using a single-dose antibiotic treatment (see doctor, i wee not tell u!). However, there are reports of drug-resistant candida albicans already, majorly because when they cause infection, they grow as a biofilm which is hard to degrade/dissolve/clear. Have one partner who is tested ok. Have sex with the right senses. Stay healthy. |

Sacluxpaint: The Catholic church is under attack. Oh please! The archdiocese gladly accepted his mission to build a church for them without minding his source of income, they sold the soul of the church to a crime lord. God was not in that church, u don't put God in a devilish environment, He won't stay. The parish council up to the arcdiocese that approved the building should be held for this heinous crime, i guess they believed his good deed/intention would erase his sins, they forgot to note that he/the people (and spiritually, they) would still share in the consequence of their one action. NB: I'm a catholic. May the souls of the departed rest in the bossom of the Lord, amen. |

It is a terrible news if its true...
Well, from my point of view... ...I think this is a case of a guy got into bad business, he takes associates' money and run back to his town. The townpeople welcome their son, do not care about the source of his sudden wealth. The church keys into it, he builds them a new church they are happy. Now the associates located him, see where their money has gone to, and showed no mercy...
...this is what happens in the drug/high crime syndicate world.
This is just my hypothesis.
May the dead find heavenly forgiveness and eternal rest, amen. |

allrightsir: This is why Nigerian graduates are not just unemployed but UNEMPLOYABLE. Your " writes up"...really?
The certificates of many Nigerian graduates have better value as toilet paper or wrapping groundnuts.
The truth is our education system is producing "graduates" that are not fit for purpose. This is the reason why when you apply to Chevron, NNPC, CBN and co you get rejected. This is the reason why children of the elite get chosen instead because these people have gone to quality institutions abroad and the employers know they will get a minimum quality out of them. Show me a graduate who went to a good university abroad who is unemployed. There are jobs out there, beleive me employers are looking for people every day. But the Nigerian graduate cannot even construct a sentence, he does not think, he lacks initiative, you have to tell him how to do everything and remind him every day...that's why except for menial jobs like sales boy/girl, when an employer sees you went to a Nigerian university especially the mushroom ones, they just toss your cv into the dustbin.
Tommorow when election comes and you decide to vote based on tribe and religion not track record and ability to deliver, or you took the 5,000 from one politician know that you created your own future. Most graduates are just graduates by certificate, not learning. Who to blame? The universities. They do "let my people go" so students now hav d lazy mindset of "even if i no fit get A make dem giv me my 40 and lemme go jere. Go to china, japan and even india, there is a set of scores u must have and nobody is doing upgrades for you... and u must not fail because no good school will admit u again! Let schools stop mark upgrading and you'd see seriousness in students... ...all dat being said, there are no jobs out there, d small ones available are rip-offs #25k for a graduate is blue-collar. And the govt+politicians see no nid to create jobs... they lack d skills to do so, only corruption skills |

ExxonMobil claimed dragnet exam of 2014 was compromised and a new date would be fixed, till today the company no write exam again, but them still dey employ.

MadKid: I thought I was going to see something like this by Alpontif
"There are first class people, and there are First class people. Real First Class Graduates have had Consistent A level results since there Kindergaten days. They are the ones that had A's throughout their primary and secondary education. They have A's in their WAEC and score between 290 and 380 in their jamb. In other words, Real First class people have academic brilliance in their Blood, and personality..and they usually, without too much effort make Outstanding---not borderline, first class in the University. These are the guys you see having 4.7-5.0...or in some rare cases..4.6.
The other First class guys are the ones who studied extremely very very very hard in the University, just to enter into that First class range, their O level, Secondary and Primary Education results is not usually stellar....and their First class CGPA usually rarely exceeds 4.5-4.59.
The previous First class guys are the True First class people with very high IQs....They rarely fail aptitude tests. The Second class of First class guys, have to be prepared for every test, else they fail it. They are the types that will always be looking for past questions on aptitude tests...which is basically a measure of Intelligence.
One way to know a Real first class guy from a swotter-First class is to ask any of them to teach you fourier transforms years after they have studied it last. Without blinking, a real first class guy will start teaching you IMMEDIATELY...the swotter first class guy, has to go and revise , before he can teach you.
That is how you know First class people, therefore if you are truly a first class material, you do not need to become Jesus Christ before you graduate as a top of the class First Class graduate." I enjoyed ur submission, but i'd like to make an ammendment to d side i bolded, as per learning and teaching at any time. Now learning brings about knowledge, and being able to re-explain any particular topic/subject at any time means such individual as acquired that knowledge. However, there is difference between that and application:- which is the use of that acquired knowledge to solve real-time or real-life problem/challenges in that field an individual has acquired his/her knowledge. Let me use d fourier transform infrered spec (ftir). What if that individual sees an ftir spec reading of a compound and cannot differentiate between d different functional shift plotted on dat graph sheet? Now that's the difference between teaching and application! Thank you |

Meanwhile, that expatriates work in a country does not mean the higher level education in that country is crap. There're many reasons why firms bring in foreigners to work domestically and this cannot be used to gauge the standard of education in a country.. What is the use of a First Class degree or any other degree when all you know is theory? How about knowing how they (theories) work in reality? I'm not a 1st class grad oo (strong 2-1) and i've always wanted to be a researcher (i am now) and with every proper "practicalization" of d theories i learned (and still learning) joy fills my heart. Truly, there's no use being a graduate in any field if you can't apply it. I frown at such people, and detest them if they dont want to learn the application. |
