Nirco:
You use speakers?

Yes I use my Tab inbuilt speaker throughout. Sounds strange?

brijibs:
In other news, I think I've damaged my ear o... It no longer stores wax... Be dropping liquid wax since yesterday. And, I'm using earpiece. If I was using ANC headset, what would have happened?!

Suggestions please

That's my greatest fear. I even avoid using any ear plugin at all, even headsets.

scammer scamed by lord of scam.

Route99:
I really don't know where to start from, as we have over 100 pages here. please can someone with experience summarize the process for me?

Read from page 1 - 70.

Thraedz:
Thanks man.

Did it work for you?

generationz:
I tire o.

it can only get better.

Thraedz:
By the way, how were you able to make all the function keys on your hacker's keyboard appear at the main keyboard layout. Mine doesn't appear on the main layout. I have to click fn to see them. I've gone through the settings but can't find a way to do it

This is how my setting page looks like, you can copy it. But I use a tablet so modify the keyboard size.

Go to "grsture and key settings. Set it just like in the screenshot below, If you want to use it when working press your "Volume up key" and it will look like the screenshot below.

Is it just me or what?

I transcribe with a phone and the new qa world platform is difficult to navigate through.

I have to click on stuff multiple times correct something. It's not the same she I'm typing on other pages on Chrome.

Remember the new user interface is still in Beta form so there is still room for improvement. Allen said all our concerns will be addressed before they roll out the new transcription page to all their users. I believe what made them to initiate a new transcription page is to accommodate mobile users which makeup about 50% of their total transcribers.

bountiouz:
Just thinking.... If the new transcription page has continuous audio play, wouldn't it be stressful using it on phone with the back and forth pausing, playing and rewinding to catch every word?

Allen said that the team is working to add the timestamp. but this will lead to missing response as it is in the old page.

hausadreturn:
HOw many release tokens?

5 for "Flag call''which is inaudible, voicemail and poor audio. Another 5 Release token for call preference and company preference. total is equal to 10.

SpongeBobSP:
I actually just got it now after a refresh of my page. I have to say it does look smooth. very mobile friendly. the glossary and all those things on the side don't interfere anymore, still need to get used to it though.

I am telling you, no more page overlap. plus you can now play the entire audio.

I got the new transcription interface today, well organised, more release tokens, user friendly, mobile and desktop friendly, and above all no more empty timestamps. Reduced chances of inverted speakers due to total label color implementation.

brijibs:
Guys, please help. I finally added my card and I'm trying to withdraw, but each, I'm prompted to contact customer service. Is there sometging I'm doing anything wrong?
I clicked the Withdraw Fund button and followed the prompt. But, this is the response I get:
Sorry, but we need more information. Please contact Customer Service for assistance.
I'm scared to contact them, for obvious reasons. Or should I contact them?

Check your account limit page, may be you have reached it.

Alienwarfare:

drawnobet:
Slack is the work place community where you can get to connect with other transcribers and moderators who can help you resolve any issues or questions. Just sign-up and the bot will put you through.

For the PayPal, you can follow this link to learn how to do that https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L1TiijdFxxx81cj8a1q5rXZAjeidcQyC/view?usp=drivesdk after opening the PayPal account, go to your nearest UBA branch and tell them you want the international Africard. That's the card you'll use to get your funds directly from PayPal. Please note that you must always log into the Lesotho PayPal using the link provided in the document.

Take some time to read the FAQ and help before you start your first job. It is extremely important.

I used the above link to open my PayPal and I am able to withdraw to my Africard. Someone asked why he is unable to withdraw to card a few days ago with his SA PayPal and he got "No you can't withdraw to card with SA paypal" as reply. Now I am beginning to wonder if I actually opened mine correctly because I can withdraw to my Africard.

Nice meat.

Who else noticed that the number of new people coming in to Qa has reduced.
In the preceding weeks notification of new Slack members filled the helpdesk.

the job is becoming harder coupled with the issue of unloaded timestamp everywhere.

SUPERPACK:

Can you transcribe calls online for a living? You can earn $7 a day depending on how good you are in typing and learning.
