I personally don't know how to answer you but I feel you should keep sending their graduate school mail and asking for the refund. Olafunds200: If I didn’t withdraw, what else was I waiting for? did you read where I requested for deferment and I didn’t get any response from them instead they send half payment. After then time has gone, no more admission, if I was granted the visa which admission letter will I submit.. Hope you get where the problem is now? |

I explained that I had arranged with my mother in-law to take care of the kids while I am away but I didn't provide any cover letter to that effect. Please should I send the letter through web form? Frankrobbn1: You plan on leaving your (2-years old) twins for your hubby to take care of them? Do you think an immigration officer will believe such story? Don't your hubby have other commitments and responsibilities at his place of work? In a situation like this, I will advice either your mother or mother-in-law should provide a cover letter confirming that she will be responsible for the well-being of the kids during your absence. This makes sense to the visa officer that someone is capable of looking after them than your hubby (a man)
It will end in praise |

Aaahhh, my kids are 2years (twins) I can't leave one. It's either I apply for both of them or none of them. I was thinking of leaving them behind with hubby because of limited funds and also as hometies. Does this hurt ? Frankrobbn1: How old is the baby? If the baby is just 5months - 2 year old, it's not reasonable in the immigration regulations and manuals of Canada to leave her behind with your elder sister. The visa officer will definitely question your intent as a mother to have took such a decision with your husband.
Kindly confirm her age and I will advise accordingly. However, if the above is her case, I will suggest you apply with your baby. Your husband is enough to be a strong tie in your application.
It will end in praise |

Congratulations. I guess it depends on you and what you want. Compare your studies in US and Canada, the funding et all including your long term goal. gbadeolu1: Hello house, I'm happy it ended in praise!!!!
JUST GOT PASSPORT REQUEST NOW!!! BUT...
1. My resumption date was May 10, but got approval on 27th. Should I apply to defer my resumption till Fall?
2. As the study permit approval was long belayed, I had decided to take an opportunity in the US. Now, I'm in a school in the US. What do you suggest I do? Also, can I have my passport stamped in the US instead of posting to Nigeria?
3. Deferring my resumption till Fall will mean I will be losing the funding I got, which was to start this May. Does it worth it to proceed?
Some of my questions may be best answered by me but your contributions may enlighten me.
Thanks |

From my little understanding, if the funding can cover your expenses ( tuition fees etc all, additional 10k CAD for living expenses plus another 4kCAD for your babies expenses) and you still have some change, then apply with her. Nb: this is my suggestion. Wait for the gurus own. ifeoluwadayofun: Good morning good people, I still need your input on this please. I am also doing special education. Check out University of British Columbia, they offer full funding. Most schools in Canada do special Education under Educational Psychology department. Yes most program start September and most admission has closed for September. But this is the best time to start searching and contacting potential supervisors against 2022 yetty002: Good afternoon. Please can you help me. I have my masters in Psychology graduated with a Ph.D grade, but I currently work with a school for children with special needs. I am married with two kids, I plan to relocate to Canada with them. I have searched for schools but new application is until September, wish to go for masters in courses related to special education, but with this your post I think going for PhD program will be the best or do you think otherwise. |

If this is for me, hmmmmm yes I have a good GPA 4.69/5.0. ( about 93%) and no I am not selling myself short. My course isn't easy to get a supervisor in my specialization. And the department specifically said it is only after admission that you will be considered for funding. So I was thinking their funding will come out fast only to come and hear about the 15th May deadline. So could you please answer the question if you have any idea? Careers4u: Why would you accept admission to a Phd program without guaranteed full funding in the package? I think you are selling yourself short since you will have a lot of other universities offering you full funding if you have a good GPA |

Hello Everyone, please I need some advice from you people....
I expected funding from my supervisor, she told me she had applied for a grant but she is expecting around June. Due to the May 15th deadline, I had to disturb her based on the urgency and she gave me some funding, (just a little over 4k) from the little funds she have. I am hoping that if the research grant she applied drop, she will offer more funding.
So I chose self funding, and then paid my tuition (8700CAD). And I have just 2mil in the account. Although I also submitted my pension account with over 1mil in the account. (I guess I can only access 25%) of that.
I am just anxious, the proof of funds part may not show enough funds for subsequent years. I had submitted my application, should I look for a sponsor that will give me a letter of support for the subsequent years and then send a webform to that effect. My biometrics is on Friday so I believe they have not started working on my file yet. I did upfront medical and it has been uploaded to Passed already.
I am also expecting some fundingand scholarships from the department, I have applied too. NB this is PhD program. |

If you mean tuition. Yes, I have, however I am yet to get my official receipt. They accept payment through GlobalPay Western Union. Go to UA website and follow the prompt on International payment, they will generate a data for you and then you pay through FORM A in the bank. Concerning their refund policy, I sent a mail and ask about their refund policy and they say they refund. You can as well send them a mail on that, I believe they will reply you. TennieYF: Please has anyone for University of Alberta paid their Tim fees for Fall 2021? Also, what is their refund policy? |
