And why is Good Friday (the anniversary of Christ's crucifixion) celebrated on a Friday?

because iit fell on a tuesday for that year.the paasover is usually celebrated during the night of the first full moon of the first month of spring.such details are usually recorded.

There are 3 nights that the moon is full in every month.
first night is always the 12th day in the lunar calendar, leading to the following daylight which is the 13th day of the month.
the second night of the full moon is therefore the 13th day night leading to the 14 day daylight.
the third night of the full moon is therefore the 14th day night leading to the 15th daylight.

There are only 3 full moon nights in any month. And we in Islam use the same lunar calendar, and are encouraged to fast in the daylight days of the 13th through 15th days of the lunar calendar, each preceded by the nights before the day.

For you to deceitfully start the full moon days at 14th is actually either at best talking about the the 14th day, being the second day of the 3 days of full moon or the last day meaning the night leading to the 15th day. You will be wrong either way because in your best calculation the first night was already gone being the 12th night and followed by the next day daylight, the 13th day that will precede the middle night of the 3 full moon nights!

This moon month, today, September 2, 2002 is the last daylight of the 3 full moon days preceded by the 3 nights of full moon before each.

If you choose tuesday as your day of hanging, then the first night will be tuesday night. [the first night]
then the first day will be wednesday [first daylight]
2nd night will be wednesday night
2nd day is thursday day
3rd night will be thursday night
3rd day will be the friday day.

So tell us when did he rise up, especially that it was supposed to be 3 nights and 3 days from his biblical lips?

If he was hung during the daylight on tuesday, unless he hung around spending a single night still being hung, you will have to say that he rose on Friday morning or somewhere during the daylight and definitely before friday evening sunset?

I remember an older friend of mine who could not eat any flesh/muscle except that of turkey. One day he told me the story behind it. The short version is that part of his inside was removed and what is left will not digest beef. I saw him getting sick right away when he dared to consume what he shouldnt.

Even all arab muslims have to learn the arabic Quran, face Makka the city, indeed if you are in Makka masjid haraam and if you are in Masjid Haraam, The Ka'aba. If Islam is arab tradition, i will expect the arab Christians and Jews to do the same. But they dont. It means Islam has its own tradition and not necessarily Arab tradition.

I could talk about Islamic tradition of Sawn, Zakat and Sadaqah, and Hajj and Umrah. Give me Arab tradition of Umrah and let me know about Arthikaf that Arab used to do.

somewhere in my past, my ascendants were pagans. but then came the first muslims among them, stopping paganism in my family. But even in the time of paganism in my family, there were Oluwasina, Oluwasola, Olorunshogo and so on. Today in my muslim bloodline we have Oluwasina still. Very strange indeed because the Oluwasina of te pagan era does not have the same meaning as the Oluwasina of this day muslim era.

we also see therefore that an Ustaz who recommended hard beating not only recommends opposite to the "light beating"

Prophet Job [as] was used as illustration of how it should happen:

[b]Allah says to Ayyub [as]: (38:44) And take in your hand a bundle of 100 blades of grass and touch her with It and do not break your oath; surely We found him patient; most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah).

Hadith:

Ata' said: "I asked Ibn `Abbas: 'What is the hitting that is ghayr al-mubarrih?' He replied: '[With] the siwak and the like'." Narrated by al-Tabari in his Tafsir (Dar al-Fikr reprint 5:68)

So even if any hitting is to happen it must be a light tap with something equivalent to or a miswak. Thats it! Anything beyond that is considered forbidden.

This is also stated by the Prophet Muhammad(SAWS).

Narrated Mu'awiyah al-Qushayri: "I went to the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) and asked him: What do you say (command) about our wives? He replied: Give them food what you have for yourself, and clothe them by which you clothe yourself, and do not beat them, and do not revile them. (Sunan Abu-Dawud, Book 11, Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah), Number 2139)"

So it was preferred not to even result to "beating" the wife.[/b]

If anyone has the first right to act according to the Quran, its Muhammad [sa]. And since he did not beat his wife lightly or heavily/really hard, i will follow that pattern> Maybe the easy to get really annoyed and wanna damage their wives by it just to calm down will do the light tap.

Rules to be followed when everything is normal. Except is the rule when in abnormal situations:

examples of abnormal: Muslim can eat pork if its the only thing available to survive on and preserve life by.
Muslim can drink alcohol if it is the only liquid to prevent him from dying. if he dies because he refused to consume the only means of preserving life, then he has committed suicide.

a muslim who leaks needs to ignore his leaking after he has made ablution. The ablution will stand for as long he is that prayer regardless of his leaking because he has in his abnormal condition, he is pure until its another prayer that he must make a new purification before he entered the prayer.

In islam there are rules and every rule has condition of exception.

Cleanliness is next to holiness.
