the effect of air is when the wind blows. we do not see air pass by if there is no particle moving by energy of the air.

God is The Owner of us and all that we see and don't see, known and unknown, imagined and unimagined.
Do we then expect This Powerful Being to be visible to us, when air is not?
Do we expect This Owner of All Honors to be completely capture by our imagination and or sense, when He is the One Who has programmed us to have limits in each of our qualities? Can we not be satisfied that His Presence can be felt in our lives and our surrounding, without He having to be physical?

It is illogical to make demands, especially when we are limited and such demand will bring us no good but peril? It is illogical to judge God existence by our judgment to know if one man or what is made to occur exists. The Creator Who makes thing exist or occur exist/occur in different and superior yardstick: He is Invisible. And Invisible does exist. It is the opposite of Visible.

Science has not been able to explain everything and will never be able to in the whole length of time human will be on earth, otherwise knowledge would be already complete or soon to be complete under the sun, under the heavens.

We need to rethink and realize that we get older everyday and we can not control mere aging that is happening to us. I am sure i would have love to be 25, for ever. ok. 33 or there about. but that is not going to happen and sooner or later my time on earth will be over. so is everyone. what happened to us then? this is a big question that science does not have true answer for, except the obvious; decaying. This is such a simple answer that can never satisfy the complexity of our end, considering how complex our living has been on this earth.

Let us mind ourselves and asked if we are not just plain wrong about our origin, origin of others, even the whole known and the possibly unknown things in our universe. How possible can these originated by random chance? Can there be an equally chance that there is a Source that brought them to being and because we do not see that source, we simply say it should all be chalked up to random chance?

I am satisfied that God exist. How satisfied are you that He does not, hence you exist by random chance, especially when you see mum being the wife of dad the husband?

Allah loves selflessly because either position of man; acceptance or rejection of the Orders of Allah, Allah gains nothing or loses nothing. It is the selfless Love that Allah has for man that made Him give the road map for success in The Quran and steers man away by it of His intent to punish disobedience, disobedient. Allah could just wipe out people, but He does not.

It is His selfless Love for man made Him say "The Merciful. . ." in the second verse of Surah Fatiha instead of saying the most harsh in punishment. When your parent punishes you, does he not love you still? Yet your parent punishes you for "wasting" his resources; money, time, etc. Even your mother who loves you in a normal sense more than your father is selfless by making sure your life is better than hers. Yet she will punish you when you extremely get out of expectation, out of line, in the hope you will correct yourself after and spare her the agony of having to have a bad child, now the possession of the mother because the father can say you are your mother's child and not his because the good behavior child is claimed by your dad, instead.

If you think your Lord who can punish you and any in past generations has much right to His Justice as your mother, then know that you are unjust to Him because He is the One Who gave the love in the heart of your mother to love you selflessly based on many factors, including the womb where you developed, a creation of God.

Finally, Allah is Loving, which is more than love. Loving possesses ultimate love, while love is what is possessed by Loving. Which do you think i higher; possession or the owner of the possession who controls the possession and may also have other possessions? Allah is The Kind and Forbearing and Always ready to accept repentance. These are some of His Qualities supporting His Mercy, Self Sufficiency and yes the Ability to be the Only One Who is Truly SELFLESS in each of what man can think of. He does not depend on anyone, anything to show extreme mercy. But taking advantage of Him so much that you disregard Him is evil that in any heart should be rejected and if He punishes such a soul, it is True Justice.

you must have thought Islam is a single village religion. Islam is universal and christians don't rule Pakistan which is a nuclear bomb capable society. one wonders if such a dead God really God in the first place whereas the reason the christians give for his death is [absorb the sins of man, maybe the original sin they attributed to Adam and Eve and or the sins committed by individual in a lifetime], different from what the jews give and neither is correct because he was not killed but saved by his God who he was a messenger of His Message? It is reasonable to say that if Jesus was God and he died, who will believe such a God when angels can not be killed? if Jesus was prophet, it is for sure plausible that God will prevent him from dieing in the hands of his enemies, especially when he prayed for it, just like Jonah who begged God even right from the belly of the whale that swallowed him.

we can look at many aspects of the idea that Jesus was God and find it to be a lie, while we can look at the aspects that Jesus was a prophet of God, the reasons he was able to perform miracles to support his prophet-hood and the reason one can say for sure that God would have accepted his prayers to save his life for dying in the hand of his enemies who were also enemies of God Who sent him. Even the christians say he was raised by God which indicates that Jesus was not powerful to do it on his own.

Quran is the highest grade of revelation, because it is the latest in terms of authenticity, just like Ph.D is to B. Sc and M. Sc programs. Muhammad [as] is the V. The truth in the Bible are the verses that Quran confirms. You can know what is true by what the highest standard says is true. Ph. Thank God that Quran is revealed and preserved by writing down and memorization and daily usage in the religious and personal affairs of Muslims.

Quran is the base of Islam, then the example of the messenger [sa]. muslims are members of the same body. when one part is hurting, the whole body feels the pain. Islam is a complete way of life from birth to death. Faith in God and accepting all the prophets of God from Adam to Muhammad [as to each of them which include Jesus son of virgin Mary]. God is the Only Source and all hope are on Him. odumchi: Islam has failed to maintain a good image in the east for many reasons most important of which being the Nigerian-Biafran war.

In the East, at that time, the war seen as an effort by the Northerners (namely the Hausa Fulani) to Islamize the East, thus the stigma. Nowadays, we are trying to find ways to harmonize our societies and establish peace between the adherents of Christianity and Animism. Christianity has already damaged and uprooted a large amount of the culture of the Eastern peoples; there is no need for Islam to enter the scene and wreak its own share of damage.

Besides, speaking from the perspective of the Igbo, the Igbo world view, culture, and tradition are incompatible with those of Islam. Attempting to unite these two will result in massive cultural upheaval and (possibly) violence. Besides, Christianity is so deeply rooted in Igboland that attempting a mass conversion from it to another faith is nearly impossible.

we have to accept that christianity was not the first religion of the igbos. paganism was. i am guessing when christianity began to creep in, there were back room talks of it being foreign, not natural to the igbo animist spirit. and today, the igbos are calling themselves christian people. i need to let you guys know that there are igbo muslims on nairaland and they are not seeking contracts or favors from any nigerians. i know igbo muslims in my own life, members of my family. islam will enter igbo blood whether you are ready for it or not. it will both home and abroad, abroad meaning "far away land". the civil war headed Gowon for the Nigerian Government and Ojukwu for the part that wanted to leave the union. Its not only the issue of tradition, Islam has a way of turning violence @ the end of the day.

Also, we need to sit down and look critically into the teachings of both Christianity and Islam.

Eg: christianity teaches forgiveness even to the extent of turning the other cheeck rather than revenge, islam on the other hand teaches an eye for eye as patterned in the time of Moses.

So, will Igbo moslems practice sharia? and were will they practice it?

It is time Christians rise up to the occasion and preserve our faith for our children.

If you wanna claim Abrahamic faith, you need to come to Islam, because it was after Abraham Judaism and Christianity came. Adam was a muslim. so were his believing progeny; Enoch, Noah, etc {as to all the prophets of God]
