As a witness persecutions are sure to come and you have very well coped with them.. Just hope I can be as brave as you and make my decision and stand by them irrespective of pressures and rejection from family.

jehovah has been very supportive throughout this times...and i am certain he's going to extend thesame love towards u if u prayerfully make ur decisions.
I find prov 3:5-6, psalms 55:22 and psalms 27:10 very helpful, and it will also be for u.

Almost every day i spend hours to teach people about the good news of Gods kingdom from door to door...and i do these under very unfavorable weather conditions like the scorching sun, rain and cold, treking very long distances, i also experience attacks from house holders, sme bang their doors at me, others spit on me, some pour water on me.
I also somtimes recieve opposition from friends and relatives for my decision to serve God with the right organisation.

I do not relent in my effort because of all this, rather it strengtens my faith the more, knowing that wat i am passing tru cannot be compared to wat christ himself suffered. And the joy i derive from teaching people the bible and being among those who are taking part in bringing the prophecy recorded at mathew 24:14 to fufilment has serve as a great source of encoragement 4 me to continue! cheesy

Family / Re: Most Painful Death Of A Loved One You Had by swhiss: 10:27pm On Oct 05, 2013
So touching indeed!...going through the thread i can see the extent of pain our number one enemy DEATH has done to us.

grieving people and those trying to recover from the death of a loved one has once come to ask a common quetion: IS THERE HOPE FOR THE DEAD??
we should all be aware of this fact that death is like a sleep in which the dead are unconcious and cannot do anything. However, the creator of life (GOD) can bring the dead back to life by means of a 'Resurrection'. In proof of that God empowered jesus christ to raise several dead pple to life wen he was here on earth...and he's about to do that again but this time on a grandscale.

God has promised that the dead in his memory will be ressurected to life in a righteous new world....he will call and they will answer! The almighty God yearns to use his power to restore life to th dead! {job 14:14,15}

that will be one happiest moment bcuz we will be once again reunited with our loved ones.

may we all base our hope on this promise and be consoled.

AnanseK:

Is the bible referring to the hair you buy in the market - attachments and extensions?

not realy...i tink its only jes tying to support womens idea of beautifying their natural hair or using attachments/extensions
Fashion / Re: Women And Braids ..is It Worth It? by swhiss: 3:54pm On Oct 05, 2013
''....if a woman have long hair , it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering''- 1corinthians 11:15.

Bible is even in support of it.

So it worth it! cheesy

DECOtech: At least you witnesses will never try his house again.

truly i say to you...they will surely return back to the man, either them or another person
Religion / Re: Man Shoots At Jehovah Witnesses For Visiting by swhiss: 3:12pm On Oct 04, 2013
oluamid: For the past 1 month, I've been having visits from different groups of Jehovah Witnesses. They knock your door, tell you they are asking of your neighbour and when you tell them you don't know his whereabouts, they start.

JW1: Please my brother, can you give me 5 minutes of your time?

Me: I'm sorry, I'm a little busy at the mo.......

JW2: (cuts in) we just want to ask you this question. What do you think is the cause of all the bad things currently happening in this world?

Me: Like I told you, I'm a little busy maybe.......

JW1: (cuts in) You see my brother, this world we are currently in is not the kind of world that Jehovah intended for us. Man has deviated from Jehovah's original plan and that is why we are currently experiencing this hardship. Take for example the issue of Boko Haram.......(speaks for about 3 minutes enumerating several disasters and grim situations and ending with)......Lets just see what the Bible says about when and how all these things will come to an end. Can you quickly open your Bible to (names a Bible passage) and read for us?

Me: (almost pleading) I'm not with my Bible and.....

JW2: (pushing Bible almost to my nose) You can read from my own. Here (points to passage), please read it.
.......................................................

I end up listening to their messages, collect numerous Awake and Watchtower magazines, part with some money (voluntary contribution), and give them my name and phone number. When they finally leave they promise to check on me in order to study the Bible with me (as if I can't study the Bible on my own) the next weekend.

I have been having these visits from different Jehovah Witness groups for the past one month. Its very annoying.

atlist u should be grateful u now know the main reason why all this evils that u see around are happening and the Hope that lies ahead for the whole of mankind....its not as if jehovah witnesses dont have what to do at home or in their various businesses, but they are people who uselfishly devote their time and energy to tell others this things from the bible, and they do it with all urgency knowing that the time left is very much reduced, so they try in their effort to mke sure this message gets to as much persons as possible...bro see their coming to u not as a disturbance but becuz of their LOVE for you!!

yoged: I am proud to be one of jehovah's witnesses. Yeahhh, people dont like us but we still love everyone. I can guarantee that man, jehovah's witnesses will still visit his house, it might not be the same people... He shud thank his God because they won't press charges or seek for compensation. Our preaching work is a command by jesus christ which its important for all christians to do. Its important we do that. Well, we dont force people to listen to us. Its a choice. If you dont want to listen or you are busy, we'll leave or drop a magazine which we dont sell, its voluntary contribution. But if you dont have money but wish to read it. We'll give it to you...... Next time you see them coming, kindly listen to them, and if you dont want to listen to them. Tell them to please leave. May Jehovah God keep protecting everyone of us.

thats just the fact bro!....JEHOVAH continues to be our provider of escape as we come to the conclusion of this system of things
