PoliticsRe: Nothing Will Come Out Of CSU Documents by Swiftgrp:
GeneralDae:
They only said they don't keep records of certificates issued to students. Two certificates were issued at different times. One in 1979 and the other most likely around 1999 because Tinubu lost his certificate when he escaped Nigeria to Benin Republic in 1994. In 1992 he applied for Senate and had no problem submitting his original certificate then.

Certificates to CSU and some American Universities are ceremonial documents and they don't keep records of certificates issued to students and that's the position of CSU.

They are however ready to release his transcripts and other documents they have.
Nicely put! These are the strong specifics that those morally-bankrupt young ethnic bigots refuse to see due to the exhibition of the worst kind of hatred ever and confirmation bias.

Indeed, the June 12, 1993 election cancellation by the brutal military dictatorship and the invasion of the houses and offices of many galant democrats in the 1990s led to the loss of the academic documents and property of nearly all top pro-democrats in Nigeria. Hence the 1998 request by the then Senator Bola Tinubu for a re-issue of his lost certificate and docs.

There is NO academic forgery anywhere.

Your slanderous post is included below.

In the absence of proof, you boldly proclaim that ANY politician who attended CSU in the 60s paid for it.
Ironically enough, since only about 30% of the student population was Black in the 1950s, I am prepared to wager a bet that the numbers were not significantly higher until the early 1970s. You need to familiarise yourself with the history of the Civil Rights movement if in doubt.

I am making this point because without a clear understanding of the history of that period, you will end up making sweeping and asinine remarks like Charly Boy. There were immigration quotas in the USA until the mid '60s, and I can tell you that latter-day Nigerian politicians were not seen at CSU until the '70s cool Now lest I be misunderstood, I am not saying Nigerians did not study in the USA till that time (Azikwe studied at Lincoln in 1925 for instance. Rather, my correction is strictly about CSU.

The devil is always in the detail.
Insightful. Well said!

The late billionaire magnate and close friend to Adnan Kashoggi, Chief Harry Akande was already studying in a U.S. Uni as of the 1960s and he graduated with brilliant results and worked with top U.S. blue chip companies.

Orishatukeh Faduma a British Guyana-born man of both liberated
Yoruba-Egba parentage graduated from Oxford Uni in England and as of 1895, he had graduated with a masters degree as the first black man to do so from a U.S. University, and he became a naturalized U.S. citizen after marriage to his
American-born wife in the 1890s and went on to teach in great institutions in the Deep South that turned out students who went on to distinguish themselves in the
Civil Rights Movement, the academia, sports, business, and more.

He passed on in 1946 at Norte Pointe, North Carolina and was buried there. You can do some
Googling about him and how he adopted his Yoruba name in
Sierra Leone as a member of the
Yoruba Saro community after graduating from England, and his movement to the U.S. for his masters degree program.

I didn't want to type on this topic again because a lot of simpletons and ethnic bigots who have NO understanding of the way things work here in the U.S. have hijacked it to spew out a lot of putrefying garbage!

You are typing based on your emotions and confirmation bias here.

Now President Bola Tinubu requested for the re-issue of a ceremonial diploma certificate in 1998 when new CSU officials where already in charge. It is the new and current College (or U.S. University)
President/board at the time of the ceremonial diploma certificate re-issue request that will sign the document even for a person who graduated from CSU in 1979, 1989, or 2019! So, there was NO forgery as suggested by you and some others here.

During the brutal military dictatorship and June 12 struggle from 1993, which I witnessed, Senator Bola Tinubu and many other pro-democracy activists lost
ALL their academic documents and property in brutal military invasions of their homes and offices by heavily armed soldiers, and people were openly murdered, like Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, iconic NADECO financier and Itsekiri industrialist Chief Alfred Rewane, the journalist Bagauda Kaltho, Michael Ibru the founder of the Guardian, and more were brutally assasinated, shot, wounded and framed up in criminal operations led by Major Al-Mustapha, Sergent Rogers, Colonel Omenka and co, as referenced based on strong evidence from the Justice Oputa Panel.

Even Farooq Kperogi who is a U.S.-based Professor and past critic of 'Bola Tinubu, PMB and APC also did his due diligence and clearly affirmed in a September 2023 article on his blog and reposted on NL that President Bola Tinubu indeed went to and graduated from Chicago State University with flying colors of a First Class (Hon) degree.

Is it too much for you and your kind to understand these simple threads of strong evidence? Instead a lot of you young ones here majorly Ibos

I believe Tinubu is just catching cruise with Atiku and co

But if by any chance the document is released and there's incriminating evidence therein apart from football age declaration,
I will stop supporting his presidency.
In the entire U.S., legally NO third party has a right to instruct a University to release Tinubu or any person's U.S. Uni certificate which is a very private or confidencial document and Atiku's lawyer (Ms. Liu) knows this fact. The legal team of Atiku just wants to make a lot of money from him. Only Tinubu can give instructions for the details of his U.S. school documents. That is the U.S. law on privacy! Many of those attacking and criminally defaming Bola Tinubu on many NL threads and here on this thread right from page one are welI-known Ibo ethnic bigots and trolls who have deliberately ignored the truth.

CSU has already confirmed many times that President Tinubu graduated as a male in 1979 with a First Class (Honours) degree, and his full, brilliant academic statement of result was released by
CSU published and uploaded here on NL this month.

CSU has also admitted that the little typographic errors on their docs of
Tinubu such as "Thubv" and more affirmed the claim of clerical errors which is not strange because we used typewriters back then in the 1970s. There were some other
Nigerian CSU graduates in
Tinubu's 1979 set that had spelling errors in their names that I noticed in a CSU documentation. Even with computer-based typing, errors are still made because of the human factors like tiredness, carelessness, etc, as can be seen by many Nigerians who have complained online and offline about errors on their NIMC/BVN documents. Period.

These are very weak points.

The current President/Board of any U.S. University signs when a request is made for the re-issue of a ceremonial diploma doc as clearly stated in the article.

During the June 12 struggle from 1993, President Bola Tinubu's house in Lagos State was ransacked by the vicious and anti-democratic military and that was how he and many pro-democracy activists lost vital school documents and property. I remember back in the 1990s that the Nadeco chieftain and
Middle-Beltan, Air Commodore Dan Suleiman's house around Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos was bombed in order to silence him. Other pro-democracy activists such as the great Itsekiri industrialist, Chief Alfred Rewane and Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, the journalist Bagauda Kaltho (he was killed by a parcel bomb in a popular Kaduna hotel premises) and more were brutally assasinated in Lagos and Kaduna by the killer squad drafted from the military led by Al-Mustapha, Col. Omenka, Sergent Rogers, etc, based on confessions and video evidence from the Oputa panel.

Atiku Abubakar's lawyer (Liu) knows these facts and will be making a lot of money from him while smiling to the bank. There was no forgery.

This thread clearly shows the level of relentless criminal defamation, ethnic bigotry and deep illiteracy on the part of some being pushed here by posters from majorly one section of Southern Nigeria and it will have dire consequences for trust-building and cohesion.

We don't have plantain and Bananas and also the likes of Avocado and cocoa.

Benue has rice, maize, yams, cassava, sesame seed, mellon, pepper, palm oil, ginger and a host of others. This ones are very cheap.

Certian farm produce do well in other parts of Nigeria than others due to certain factors like weather, availability of improved seedlings, and methods of farming.

Benue produce cassava in large quantity but improved variety got to the state just like 3 years back whereas places like Ibadan and Ekiti have had this varieties as far back as 2015 or before then. So the thing for Benue it is a thing of access to improved seedlings.

I am a Tiv man.
Awesome feedback @Benuejosh.

Oh wow! So, plantains don't grow well in Benue? Benue is close to
Cameroon and I could have sworn that plantains grow well in Benue too just like in Cameroon. I've learned a lot of deep insights from my convo with you.

IITA is the plug-in for improved cassava and this is why a female investor established the biggest cassava syrup processing plant in
Oyo State where she gets cassava directly from farmers.

Thanks again for the feedback and I'll keep in touch.

2017. I was surprised. The same size of banana i bought for N250 was sold for about N1500 or N2000 in Benue. I also boughy 5 pieces of avocado for N100 whereas in Benue 1 or 2 piece was sold for N100. Ekiti is cheap to live in aside the capital.
Awesome! 6 years ago.
It seems you are a Tiv, Igede, or
Idoma.

I'm stunned that food items are expensive in Benue State, the nationally acclaimed food basket of Nigeria than even Ekiti. I know that banditry by the Fulahs could have contributed to the high cost of production and artificial inflation caused by the greed of middle men in major cities and capitals of
Nigeria have worsened things for folks.

In any event Benue and indeed other states with fertile lands and plenty natural water supplies have to key into dry season irrigation, improved varieties of seedlings from research institutions, and focus on value addition for export.
Benue was even exporting yams to the Nigerian Diaspora in the UK through licenced exporters.

Even small urban farming in pots and spaces in residential gardens can save on food cost for people. That's been the current trend globally.

All the best.

PoliticsRe: Odogwu: Most Popular African Word In 2023. by Swiftgrp:
ehikwe22:
No, they're not different. Odogun is a chief in charge of warfare in ancient Edo empire. The title still exist in several kingdoms that made up the ancient Edo empire and as you might already known - some of these kingdoms have relationship with the Igbos of the South East.
Ehikwe22, I like your insights on this topic.

The etymology of the word Odogwu is of pure Yoruba origin via the
Igalas or Edos who had contacts with the Delta North, Anambra, and
Enugu axis.

Olori Ogun means "head of warriors." Olori means leader or head and Ogun means war in Yoruba language.

That loan word is got from "Ogun" and found it's way most definitely via the Igalas (Igala is classified as a
Yoruboid language) who also have
Yoruba bloodlines in the entire
Igala ancestral family tree.

According to the late Attah of Igala kingdom, HRM Michael Ameh Oboni, in a 2016 Saturday Punch interview, migrants from the
Wukari (Jukun) area in Taraba moved along the Benue River and fused with a significant number of Yorubas and Edos at the river confluence area in the Kogi axis. Hence, the fusion of Yoruba words and words from ethnicities that fused to what you call Igala today.

There are indigenous Igalas and Igala-associated or mixed communities in Delta North such as Ebu, Illah, Asaba, Okpanam. Anambra North and Onitsha has
Igala roots (forming their quarters there), and Northern Enugu State has Igala ethnic presence for over 500 years.

"SIMILAR Yoruba/Igala words"
1] Egungun (Masquerade in Yoruba) is spelled Egwugwu by Igalas and that got into Ibo language as a loan word.

2] Ogun (In Yoruba language, it can mean war, medicine) is spelled as
Ogwu in Igala and used as a loan word in Ibo. E.g. Money medicine or "Ogun Owo" in Yoruba is "Ogwu Ego" in Ibo!

3] Ogede is plantain and bananain
Yoruba is exactly Ogede in Igala.

4] Akuko is cock in Yoruba and is Akuko in Igala language and is a loan word in Ibo.

5] Omi is water in Yoruba, and is also Omi in Igala but is called Mmiri in Ibo.

6] Ifa (the Yoruba religion ) is
Yoruba and Igalas call it Ifa too but is corrupted and called "Afa" by the Ibos via it's introduction to the Nri area through the same Igala contact. It was the arrival of
Igala into the Nri area that led to the introduction of the kingship system in Nri. Prior to that, the aborigenes had no monarchical system as exemplified by the Eze Nri.

The Igala influence on Anambra, Enugu, and Delta States was very significant for over 500 years as to have caused the entry of Yoruba/Yoruboid loan words into the central Ibo language. A little close to 40 percent of Igala words are of Yoruboid origin. Same with
Itsekiri who also have major Yoruba bloodlines (of 3 subclans of Ilaje, Ijebu and Ife) in addition to Edo immigration from the Binis in the 1480s through Prince Ginuwa into Ode Itsekiri where he and his exiled team met Chief Lenuwa and his people of Ijebu origin, and Ginuwa settled in their midst and married some of the Ijebu women.

In Anambra, Igala communities such as Igbokenyi exis. Aguleri also has a strong migratory Igala ancestry presence from about 400 years ago from where they interacted with the aborigenes.

Even the popular RED chieftaincy cap was first introduced into the
Nsukka area of Enugu State from Igalaland by the Igalas and the wearing of the red cap then spread out hence, it is NOT indigenous to the Ibo aborigenes.

All these have strong verifiable sources online and offline.

I don't know if this is normal but I find these four things very attractive on a lady and the fourth one is really very weird.

1. Extra small Nose Stud: Personally I find most nose studs or rings very unattractive but there is something very classy about a lady rocking a pin head extra small nose stud on one side of her nose . Unlike the big nose studs, this one looks very decent and classy.

2. . Leg Chain: I'm a lover of beautiful legs and a lady rocking leg chain on a beautiful leg gives the leg an extra beauty regardless of the skin colour.

3. Waist Chain: I am not really a lover of waist beads because it gives that eerie vibe but waist chains are in a whole different class. Waist chain unlike beads give a very classy and more beautiful look especially the dangling loosed types and it is even more beautiful when a lady puts two different colours.

4. Pierced Tongue : This fifth one is weird but the odogwus will understand wettin dey if a lady with pierced tongue use it to chew their sugar cane. Amazingly, whenever I see a lady with pierced tongue, I fight so hard not to get attracted to them cos of the bad girl vibe they give

So as a guy, what are those weird things you find very attractive on a lady?
