naptu2: The security level changes depending on what's going on.

There was a time when you couldn't drive past the driveway into State House Ribadu Road (Dodan Barracks), yet, about a decade later, I saw little kids playing football on that same driveway (even though it was still in use). There was a time when you could easily walk into State House Marina (and even take pictures). You can't try that now (they've even destroyed the aesthetics of the beautiful building with barbed wire). There was a time when State House The Aso Rock Villa was surrounded by artillery guns and tanks, but that's not the case now.

There was a time when you could walk down Downing Street, but gates were erected at both ends of the street after the mortar attack in 1991.

Can you drive past the White House today?

the gates at downing street does'nt prevent tourist or brits to walk up to the famous number 10 black door to take pics.

Cars no longer pass in front of the white house but the space is open to protestors and the general public. People brandish posters and anti war banners on the white house fence futhermore, i can still tour the white house and sometimes lucky enough see the president or a member of the first farmily in the hallways. Can any of these be done in aso rock?

these are put togethers from articles and official releases from the presidency. It bothers me that i can't undertake a tour of my president's residence. I know more about the white house, downing street, elysee palace, union building, etc..than i know about my country's executive mansion. It's just wrong. I can google the floor plan of the most secured building in the world, white house. But pics of aso rock in seculation can be counted.

a commendable step but the problem in nigeria is not signing MOU's or awarding projects. It's the ability to supervise them to the end. I see no reason why the 16th largest producer of tomato in the world would be loosing 50% of it's harvest to rot. We'll be watching.

@Topic, this is a welcome idea! It'll save Nigeria of some losses. This Minister is one of the vibrant Nigerian Ministers we have.

so we'll just build the terminals and nothing is exported through it, and knowing nigeria, it will start to rot due to lack of maintenance. And in a few years time they will approve more billions to rehabilitate perishable cargo terminal. If this terminals had to foreseable use currently, why build it? Could'nt the money have gone to a better place?

How does the so called perishables get to the airport without spoiling when investments have'nt been made in modern storage facilities in farms and cooling vans, where are you exporting them to? Because no country will buy perishables which are very sensitive from a country like nigeria where there is no organisation.

How many farms have the facilities to pack the perishables in cartons, crates, etc and brand it as an internationally recognised farm. Last i checked, nigeria does'nt have such commercial farms.

And finally i do hope the minister realise that december is just about three months away.

But obama snub us and visited senegal. Today russia too snubed nigeria and invited senegal to st. Peterburgh...it seem senegal is the new leader of west africa.

During the industrial revolution in the u.k, the thames in london was so poluted, parliament sealed all it's windows. What sort of mislading headline is this? The u.s congress has'nt approved anything. The request just got a 10-7 victory on the u.s senate armed services commitee, it still has to be voted on in the house of representatives comitees before final general votes on the floors of both chambers of congress. That is when we can say military action has been approved. This nairaland frontpage become more trival, frevolous and dumb daily.
