The worst part is that the founder of this Abokifx stays in England. He is a fucking greedy man, so many people will not agree with me but if you buy dollar constantly you will agree with me.
The man is not the one selling you dollar. All this platform does was report trends in currency fluctuations. This like blaming Financial Times newspaper for currency exchange. When your CBN stopped disbursement of Dollar to BDC anyone with brain should have seen this coming. It is all about supply and demand. BDC is the unofficial free market place to buy FX exchange when supply dries up and demand increases guess what prices goes up. That CBN Chairman most not have studied Supply and Demand in College

In my post i mentioned the need for CBN to make dollars available. I repeat "there should be nothing like bureau de change" let's have a unitary flows of dollars to the bank alone and see if getting 1 million dollars for a genuine importer will be So diff8cult for banks.
I don't know why this should be a big issue. All CBN need to do is to establish following process where if one need to pay for goods outside the country or go on vacation

1 Go to the bank initiate a wire transfer and pay for the goods This way no need for individual to have foreign currency in their hand
2, If going on vacation establish a limit on allowable FX exchange like $5000. Furnish all necessary papers and that is it.
3. Get rid of Dom Account.

Here in the US I don't a DOM account in Pound Sterling or Yuan to do business with a company in United Kingdom or in China.

IPIGSRDOTARDS:
I use this frequently. Why shut it down?
Worst CBN Governor EVER.

Was he planted to destroy the economy because that's exactly what he been doing all along.
Buhari, I beg fire this guy ASAP.
The man is a banker all the decisions he has ever made were to benefit the bank.

1. Paying remittance in local currency. That helped the bank to dictate what rate they are willing to pay on the remittance. The banks then turn around and sell at a profit to the BDC. Initial excuse used was that paying out remittance in foreign currency to the beneficiaries will have adverse effect on the country foreign reserve. Imagine I sent $1000 through Western Union and instructed that the beneficiary be paid in dollar how will paying out the $1000 affects the country foreign reserve. I put in $1000 and I get out $1000 that is a wash. He did it because his real goal was to create scarcity of dollar in circulations. This was a policy change from the Jonathan administration. Exchange rate when Buhari came into power was around 195 - 220. Now we are at 570. The man is incompetent plain and simple.

2. Stopping BDC from trading in FX had the same purpose. It created artificial scarcity of dollar in the open market, you can see this in the banks ATM rates on VISA card those rates are still within N450 - N460 range but parallel market rate, which in reality is the open market is at 570. Go into any bank and try to buy FX exchange you can imagine the number of papers you will need to fill out. Only in Nigeria is it easier to obtain FX exchange to pay foreign school fees than to run a business.

Car Talk › Re: Can You Buy This Car For N1.9 Million by t2luv1: 10:45pm On Sep 12, 2021
ab1x:
Your opinion and that alone does not count as everything has to do with the exchange rate. You need to be in touch with the reality on ground. There are lot of things involved in importing a car from US to Nigeria. Clearing for underage car is between 480 to 500K alone

Not to mention shipping from US to Nigeria.

Shipping for Texas is 1130 while from other state is $1030

You need someone to drive the car to port; they mostly collect between $200 to $500 depending on your negotiation power

Another cost is the cost given to the person that you used his or her account to purchase the car. They collect between $150 to $200

There are some instance that you will purchase cars on auction as buy and drive and at the end of the day, when you go for pick up, the car might be having issues or may not even start and you need to send further fees to them

When cars are purchased from auction take for instance at $1350, coparts will add additional fees to it like $450 to $500

When the cars reach port again after paying for clearing, the agent might tell you that the battery is not starting or the oil is short, they may even remove stuff from the car that you will need to replace etc.

Ask from someone who is in the business and see if my stated assertion are either true or false

Goodluck in getting the car at 700k
I just gave him a conservative cost break down. @ N1.9m its a bargain

Damn No
Before you say NO let me help you out

Buying $1300 auction fees 250 total $1550
Towing to port $250 Ocean Freight $1100 Total $1350

Final Total to Lagos $2900 Convert to Naira @ 530 = N1537000
add clearing N450000
Buying for N1.9M is bargain Don't ask me how I know this just trust me

The Speaker also suggested that the bill should make provision for the registration of herders and prepare them for ranching.

“Allocating parcel of land is not enough but there should be training of those who would go into ranching,” he said noting that ranching is expensive and required adequate preparation.

He added that Lagos has 250 hectares of land in Ikorodu and another 750 hectares on Epe for ranching.

God bless Lagos state!

Brilliant heads already going towards revenue generation from ranching!

Now I know why the West are the most educated and brilliant tribe.

Unlike some flat-headed dwarfs who would have been screaming "OUR LAND" and "FULANIZATION"
VAT at the Federal level now VAT at the state level. Value added tax that's VAT is, now tell me what are the value being added when I execute a transaction at a bank or when I imported a finish product. Even Canada which has one of the most regressive VAT in the world does not tax bank transactions. In US no VAT think about that. Being educated and brilliant does not translate into having common sense. VAT is a regressive tax that mainly affect the poor because your are taxing consumption that is why in the US there are no VAT.
