As for the (northern) army occupying our region (if it ever occurs), be rest assured that we certainly won't be looking eastwards for your support.

The same thought did initially crossed my mind but then i recalled how, all the Jan' 15 coupists were all transfered to the eastern region and were consequently released by ojukwu and conscripted into his rag-tag army.

I doubt if Ojukwu gave them that much options, anyway: it's either they join his Biafran Liberation Front(sic) or rot in prison (Lt. Col. Hilary Njoku spent the entirety of the war in ojukwu's gaol simply because he did not agree with ojukwu's strategy in conducting the war) or worse still, get shot as "sabos".

I concur with the Op assertion that ibos can't play opposition govt, clear example is the fact that in spite of how the same northerners slaughtered

them in 1945 and again in 1953, the ibos willingly went into coalition with the same northerners in the 1st republic, as a junior partner.

After the civil war where we saw the genocidal act inflicted on their sorry little a.r.ses by the same northerners, again the ibo went into coalition

with the latter in the second republic. Even their warlord who sacrificed 3million of them for his ego and ambition came from back exile to join

the same people he vowed never to have anything to do with except on the battlefield.

However, the ibos are very quick to label others as fulani "slaves".

When was the last time you checked 'cause Awo was already in prison when the coupists struck. In fact the tussle was between TB and Zik when the latter, after the 1964 general election initially refused to invite TB to form a cabinet whilst at the same time imploring the military chiefs to intervene in the imbroglio until he was advised by the chief justice and the military chiefs that their operational power resides with the PM and not the ceremonial President when he finally relented.

For example, almost 70 years after the act, these people are still regurgitating the same fallacy that NCNC won the regional election in western region but was denied the premiership during to "carpet-crossing" by yoruba politicians, as FACT. However, none of them has been able to produce the election result which conclusively indicate that NCNC did win the election.

This is their stock in trade-repeat (obvious) lies as often as they can and before long they will start calling it, FACT yet can't buttress their fact with irrefutable evidence.

Didn't Gowon , the extant HOS at the time, gave similar assurance to Ojukwu who subsequently sent his people back to the north only for them to be slaughtered again like ramdan ggoats and Gowon couldn't stop it?
