omohayek:Unfortunately, the fact of the matter is that the Sardunna would not have agreed to this unworkable union unless he is given the leadership role but zik (and his people) were all for this fake One Nigeria ..........at all cost believing in due time, they will be able to wrestle power from the northerners. |
Drogbs:The bolded portion of your asinine post just buttress my assertions that you guys are truly SMART but only by halves. So, what exactly do you want we yorubas to do? Pull your chestnut out of the fire, ba? The same people that you hated-filled folks abuse, curse and wish all manner of calamities on, daily are the same ones you are now surreptitiously soliciting to put their precious lives on the line for you. Ore wo ni 'pe yin se idi wa? when have you guys ever stood up on our behalf? The last time your elders embarked on their ill-fated adventures with the north, your late Ikemba chose to come to our region in his fight with the north hoping to turn our ancestral land into a war-zone under the disguise that he's coming to liberate us. However, 'cause we saw through his SMART move you have been labeling us, cowards ever since. No, you want the same "cowards" to come to your aid? Mba....you have made your bed and as such be prepared to sleep on it, on your own. As for the (northern) army occupying our region (if it ever occurs), be rest assured that we certainly won't be looking eastwards for your support. |
laudate:Abi o Jare!!! Ojukwu USED and DUMPED their emotionally-laden and gullible a.r.s.e.s once he got his pardon from the federal govt. He somehow forgot to fight for the same people he manipulated into a gratuitous war with the attendant loss of million innocent souls. |
diadem10:The same thought did initially crossed my mind but then i recalled how, all the Jan' 15 coupists were all transfered to the eastern region and were consequently released by ojukwu and conscripted into his rag-tag army. I doubt if Ojukwu gave them that much options, anyway: it's either they join his Biafran Liberation Front(sic) or rot in prison (Lt. Col. Hilary Njoku spent the entirety of the war in ojukwu's gaol simply because he did not agree with ojukwu's strategy in conducting the war) or worse still, get shot as "sabos". |

captleonerd:Abi o jare!!! I concur with the Op assertion that ibos can't play opposition govt, clear example is the fact that in spite of how the same northerners slaughtered them in 1945 and again in 1953, the ibos willingly went into coalition with the same northerners in the 1st republic, as a junior partner. After the civil war where we saw the genocidal act inflicted on their sorry little a.r.ses by the same northerners, again the ibo went into coalition with the latter in the second republic. Even their warlord who sacrificed 3million of them for his ego and ambition came from back exile to join the same people he vowed never to have anything to do with except on the battlefield. However, the ibos are very quick to label others as fulani "slaves". Very funny set of people. |
pazienza:Between 1964 and 1966 when the coupists struck , TB doubled as the Prime minister and External affairs minster. When was the last time you checked 'cause Awo was already in prison when the coupists struck. In fact the tussle was between TB and Zik when the latter, after the 1964 general election initially refused to invite TB to form a cabinet whilst at the same time imploring the military chiefs to intervene in the imbroglio until he was advised by the chief justice and the military chiefs that their operational power resides with the PM and not the ceremonial President when he finally relented. |
MEILYN:Presumably however, he has a point Stop mass migration from (especially) Igboland and other regions into Yorubaland pending when all ethnic nationalities in Nigeria agreed to Sovereign National Conference and True Federalism. |
honourhim:FACT!!!! |
MrRational1:Lobatan!!! |
PenisCaP:You can regurgitate the same spurious tale umpteenth times but the fact on the ground is "we yorubas runs the show in lagos" and there's nothing you and ilk can do about it. You obey our rules rules and regulations in lagos else we won't hesitate to deport you back to your village in upper awka. BabaRamota1980:Be ni o!!! I wholeheartedly, endorse your proposition. |
jiangchu:GBOSA!!! I couldn't have put it any better. |
jumobi1:NO! But he was part and parcel of the deposed northern political machinery (by Jan '66 coup), who subsequently went on to spearheaded the pogrom on your people that culminated in the civil war. |
Dannidom:And about time, too..............................meanwhile, the northern youths are impatiently awaiting Oct. 1st. |
quid:That was then but now .................................a lot of water has passed under the bridge. Once you get your biafra THEN you lot will become (illegal) immigrants in my yorubaland and we shall not hesitate to remind you of all the hate messages you spewed at us in pursuance of your dreamland. . |
Dedetwo:Old man, abeg you and your fellow ipob to go and form your Biafra asap. Don't forget to take your fellow miscreants with you. Oh i forgot, even after your Biafra, you guys still want to reside in our land whilst still running your mouth like a malfunctioning water tap. Not to worry though, but i promise you, the very day you get your d.a.mn.ed land of the (never) rising sun that's when you lot will realize how we truly feel about you mischievous, uncouth ingrates.. |
To think these are the same people that introduced the term "ibophobic" into our political lexicon. |
Pavore9:GBABE!!!..................or too "classically conditioned" to see beyond their nostrils. Some folks are destined to be "suckers for punishment" as they have bluntly refused to learn a thing or two from their past misadventure. Here they are again poised to re-enact the Nigerian civil war, part 2. |
laudate:Ignore ke? You must be kidding. The fella you referred to is not unique-it's a genetic trait. If we ignore their infantille revisionism before you know it, they will be parroting it as FACT. For example, almost 70 years after the act, these people are still regurgitating the same fallacy that NCNC won the regional election in western region but was denied the premiership during to "carpet-crossing" by yoruba politicians, as FACT. However, none of them has been able to produce the election result which conclusively indicate that NCNC did win the election. This is their stock in trade-repeat (obvious) lies as often as they can and before long they will start calling it, FACT yet can't buttress their fact with irrefutable evidence. |
Dedetwo:when the "person" realizes that his impish "neighbour" (who previously had came to his house and murdered his son) has now gathered his fellow miscreants together and they are enroute to his house to appropriate it under the pretext that he's only going to dislodge the "stranger". |
ChimaAdeoye:@ bolded...................why? Don't they want to go back to their ancestral land and used their much-hyped ingenuity to turn their land into the dubai of Africa? Are they happy seeing their homeland in a sh.i.tt.y mess whilst they continue to " develop" their enemies' region? Now that their real owners have had enough of their chest-beatings and insolence and thus gave them their marching orders, they don't want to go, any longer. Oh well, it's too late and pointless closing the gate now as the horse has already absconded from the barn- ibos must go! Biafra must be actualised, insha allah! |
According to Vanguard New, Nwogwu said the Igbo would not leave the North because they have contributed immensely to the development of the region. “We are not in support of division. We are saying that things should be done right,” Nwogwu said.Na only una dey "contribute immensely to the development" of other regions ? So you are not in support of division but remained mute all the while your kinsmen were assaulting our eardrums with the shout of biafra and denouncing , deriding and insulting everyone in the country but now that "you have (finally, as i always knew you would) climbed your tree beyond its leaves" and the northerners have given you, your matching orders, you suddenly found your voice. Abeg, woe betide you if you don't leave the north by the deadline as we all know those guys up there don't make empty threats as some others do and no amount of assurances from El Rufai will save your a.r.s.e.s, come Oct 1st. Didn't Gowon , the extant HOS at the time, gave similar assurance to Ojukwu who subsequently sent his people back to the north only for them to be slaughtered again like ramdan ggoats and Gowon couldn't stop it? |
laudate:@ bolded...............exactly!!! They expect to have their biafra and still be able to persist with their commercial businesses with the same people they heap all sorts of profanities on, daily. They expect to continue trading in the zoo, populated with obviously, animals. How these folks cogitate really baffles me. |
maynation:@ bolded......................GBABE!!! Ona kon o wo 'ja................there are always many entrance gates to a market! |
POINT SIX - I cannot in all conscience serve you any longer. Nor can I be a party to suppressing the fact that your starving thousands have the food, medicine and milk available to them.....it can and is ready to be delivered through international organizations to you. Only your constant refusal has stopped its delivery.Redundant news! Most discerning minds knew that it was actually the ikemba who starved his own people to death just so that he can garner world opinion in his favour. |
Rossikki:Exactly the same sentiment that compelled the sardunna to set up his (in/famous) Northernisation Policy soon after the country became independent. He probably saw it as the only way to checkmate ibo's domineering proclivity in his region. It (his policy) worked hence he was marked for execution, in their so called revolutionary coup. |
AllHailBiafra:O ma se o!!! What the elder can see sitting down on his mat, the young one can't see even if he climbs the tallest tree. For starters, you lot can't punish us. Moreover, the ills you guys have been wishing us for eons has failed to materialise and will never do simply 'cause we owe you folks nada. The north were slaughtering you guys long before we attained self rule yet, it's on record that it was your mischievous, covetous and myopic leaders that were clamoring for One nigeria. Even after you had murdered all the leaders from other regions and assumed the top seat, you still wanted one nigeria Lastly, you can't orchestrate our "punishment" because you just don't posses the brain or brawn. Last time you tried it, only a few ones of us stopped you at Ore. |
But the first coup in the annals of this nation, wasn't selfish? |
AllHailBiafra:Can you please explain which " (evil) seed was planted long ago " by the yorubas ? As per harvesting- we ain't harvesting nada. we give as good as we get and like i said in another post earlier, when the bedlam you lot keep wishing on us does commence, you and your fellow co-travelers of doomsday preachers certainly won't be spared the collateral damages that will follow. Remember, there are as many of your folks in the north as there are in the southwest. |
kingsouthie:Abi o jare!!! As it was in the 1st republic, so it is now, almost 6 decades later. Meanwhile the retrogressive northerners continue decimating (initially with Boko haram and presently, fulani herdsmen) the so-called progressive southerners whilst surreptitiously working towards their own ulterior agenda. |

When Ojukwu was busy getting his own pardon from the federal govt, did he make a case to the same govt that the ranks and entitlements of those who fought alongside him in Biafra, should be restored?

Even if you continue this debate till next year, he would still refuse to see the truth, even if it came & slapped him in the face!
