fbiswagger: Insult me all you want, I will neither get angry or insult you back. All I have been asking for is that you answer the issues raised in the rebuttal which to refresh your memory are as follows;

i. The Global Barometer IS NOT a ranking done by Transparency International. It is a survey of how CITIZENS feel about their country and in any case it NEVER rated Nigeria the 8th most corrupt nation in the world.

ii. The ONLY ranking that Transparency International does is the annual Corruption Perception Index and TI has not released one for this year thus any headline that says NIGERIA LISTED AS 8th MOST CORRUPT NATION is FALSE.

If these are lies then produce evidence to convince us that the Omokri dude has lied. No matter how much you insult the truth it will not become a lie so save your insults for those on whom they are effective and produce evidence to back your claims.
True that the Global Corruption Barometer does not feature country rankings, and its different from the CPI but a public opinion survey carried out by Transparency International. Reno ought to have stayed on educating the misinformed on the difference between the global corruption barometer and the CPI instead of mischievously digging up a disclaimer published in April that has nothing to do with the story. Reno is a fraud

Politics › Re: Amaechi Being Punished For Winning NGF Election - Opposition Governors by takedat(m):
Those opposition governors irrespective of party affiliation are high stakeholders in the Nigerian project, and as such, they are expected and allowed to voice their opinion. With the level of arms proliferation in the Niger-Delta, its important that the situation is managed properly before it blows out of proportion!

Fo0ls would ignore the bone of contention to attack and shatter another forumer's personality. I guess the abusive reactions are based on their personal idiocy and irrationality! Is it as if we do not know that one of the reasons why Amaechi is being punished s because he failed to abide by the party's dictate on the NGF election?

Tell me the credible organisation responsible for the "corruption barometer" .
Half-Wit! You are too dull to take cognizance that SR credited the news to PM NEWS.

solomon111: Look at this shameless individual.
Was this statement not from transparency international?
When did sowore or whatever he calls himself became a credible source of corruption index?
Have you people no dignity?
What do you guys gain from all these nonsense?
Are you a fo0l or just intellectually challenged? Did the story originate from Sowore's Sahara Reporters? Can't you see that the TI's press release was published in April and has nothing to do with the story?

I now get you.
When did PM NEWS become an opposition propaganda outlet? The same PM NEWS that carried a false story on Ajimobi's wife and you all(Pro PDP) rejoiced over it before it was later discovered to be false? Try again!

I did not comment on the post, and Do we really need this unfriendly inter-personal engagement? Why not re-direct your anger towards the source of the "malicious story"(PM NEWS)?

I am not interested in this "dubious consolation" of Reno when I know corruption is still business as usual, business as typical.

Do we need any Transparency whatsoever to tell Nigerians that corruption is rampant and that some of the leading light of this administration are "Symbols of Corruption"? Or is it the President's lukewarm and cavalier attitude towards the fight against corruption, toothless Anti_Graft agencies that refuses to bark or a very corrupt Judicial System ? Even the confrontational critics(El Rufai n co) of this administration, whose EFCC files are said to be overflowing are accusing and blasting away at government, while running free as the wind.
Reno Omokri
Special Assistant to the President (New Media)
I see grin

The same lying character(Reno Omokri) who misled the President during his 2012 Independence Speech, that Transparency International has endorsed and praised his administration's war against corruption shouldn't be the one to bersmirch others, calling a story malicious. Even though i agree that the Global Corruption barometer is quite different from the CPI, and countries are not ranked. The political jobber should have attacked the source of the malicious story(PM NEWS) instead of attacking other online media which includes Nairaland. The Presidency once lied citing Transparency International so no qualms! grin

http://www.informationng.com/2012/10/corruption-how-transparency-international-exposed-jonathans-goof-or-did-he-just-lied-outright.html

In order to give his(Reno) press release some credibility, he had to smuggle in a TI statement(disclaimer) which was published in April, and has nothing to do with the malicious story.

dondaddycares: Ribadu wasn't a civil servant as EFFC boss bro, dats purely an appointment which could be terminated@any moment... Infact such appointments are based largely on political party affiliations and where one pays his allegiance. He may not be a PDP card carrying member but his allegiance was with d PDP
Talk another one. He was still in active service as an Assistant Commissioner of Police and OBJ appointed him as EFCC boss based on merit, even if he eventually became a political tool in OBJ's hands. Yes, he served in a PDP government and we still have many of them, but There is nothing to establish that he was a card carrying member, so no one should list him as a PDP Rebel in ACN!

Please can you define who a patriotic critic is? Are Tinubu and Liar Mohammed patriotic critics? Are you a patriotic critic?

Nothing we no go hear for NL!!! I don laugh nearly fall for chair here... grin grin grin
Those are politically motivated critics, and they are politicians. Is Asari a politician or another clannish fool? Are you a patriotic critic or a corporate tool/groveller?
Politics › Re: Sule Lamido: APC Is Political Fraud by takedat(m):
thelastPope: Even Asari Dokubo criticizes the president from time to time. So you dont know what you are talking about. We chide Tam David West because he isnt a critic, he is a stooge of the south west ACN and hausa/fulani cabal. He wants to perpetuate the ND oppression that has been on for years. We say no. No going back to those years. Same thing we have against Amaechi. We dont want a vice presidential slot. Sorry, no thanks!
Asari is not a patriotic critic but an "Hungry Man". He only criticizes Jonathan when his government hand-out is delayed. Again, no one is allowed to have a personal ambition because GEJ "is our son"!

Is that a way to describe someone's failure? By casting aspertion at his tribe and village? You call his hat foolish. A traditional attire of a whole region. Isnt that just below the belt! I dont need to argue with you. The archives of NL are there to hunt you lot for years to come.

Just admit that you erred in your first post.. Tell me, how they became saints? We know the "Real Movers" of APC and we know none of them was ever in PDP. Y'all can continue with the mass murmuring!
Politics › Re: Sule Lamido: APC Is Political Fraud by takedat(m): 12:13pm On Jul 11, 2013
thelastPope: Of course Ribadu was completely involved in PDP. How did he survive those years? Was he neutral in those years? Where do you want to spin this? He was a police officer so there was no way he could have been a card carrying member, but he was fully involved in all the PDP politics of the day including the famous humiliation of IBB by OBJ where Adenuga was chased out the country and went on exile for how many years again sef? Ribadu was PDP as good as it gets!
Story yi ti fema long ju. Was he a card carrying member of the PDP? Simple and short answer would do! If we should go by your flawed argument, then all Federal civil servants are PDP, because they are completely involved in the PDP as the ruling party.
Politics › Re: Sule Lamido: APC Is Political Fraud by takedat(m):
thelastPope: Pot calling the kettle black. Let me get this clearly

1. You lot are allowed to support Tinubu, Fashola and all south west ACN leaders without questions because you are progressives

2. We are not allowed to support Niger Delta leaders because that will make us tribalists and unintelligent.

You lot are progressives and are the most intelligent people around. I seeee!

What kinda warped logic is that? Who do you people think you are really? You must have a skewed self appraisal of yourselves. A warped status in your minds! Get a grip!
There are many Yorubas even on this board, who don't mince words when speaking against the OBJ's, Tinubu's and co. But we know how Niger-Deltans kowtow to Jonathan.

We know those who are mired in poverty but will never speak against the president even when he is wrong because he is "their son"

We know those who refused to join in a Nationwide subsidy protest just because their son is the president.

We know those who attack Amaechi for no reason and call him a betrayer just because he befriends South Westerners and Northerners.

We know how you get psychologically agitated and verbally aggressive when people critic GEJ's government.

Everyone knows how clannish, cheap and bigoted you lot are. I don't blame you sha, na too much kain kain!

Why then is democracy? And this old man...in 2011, the name Edwin Clark was not part of PDP vocabulary. And then look at it today, it has become the main vocabulary. And what is the qualification? Emotion and sentiments! And Nigeria made him to grow till 86 and secure; is he giving Nigerians the same hope for them to be 80? Those who are ten and twenty now, by his pronouncements? Is he giving them hope to be what he is to Nigeria, because Nigeria made him and dignified him? He was a minister.
