^ Yeah, by aiding impunity, corruption and illegality! ![]() |
Damn! If the number one, undisputable habitual liar and supplier of sophisticated lies calls another a liar, such a person should simply commit suicide! Clowns as political elites! |
thelastPope: Please when did you attend the press briefing where the police announced that they have nothing against them? Please update us.I didn't know you now speak for the police? You should tell me if the police have come out to say they have something against the journalists! |
thelastPope: It is one thing to be partisan. It is another thing to be foolish. You have gone from being partisan to very foolish if you think for one second that that suya-wrapper paper created in an oluyole business center was a directive from a government ministry not to mention the presidency. It shows you are just a student who have never set eyes on a government document before. I am totally disappointed in you. Shame. You are an unrepentant dolt and a pipsqueak! Didn't you see that those were questions I asked bothering on why the police did not/have not instituted legal action against them even after the presidency had given the impression that the document was a forged one or what is there to investigate any further after the president who ordered their arrest have labelled it a fake directive? Always in a haste to attack anyone critical of government actions and policies, looking increasingly foolish! |
nuclearboy: Read the article, Bros - it says he visited the President in Aso Rock and he was honored even above the Senate Leader. If there are no police in the rest of Nigeria, we are sure Aso Rock has some - why didn't they arrest him if he's not been protected by "orders from above"?Bros na concluded matter o! The court has vacated the warrant of arrest issued against him, and also issued an order of perpetual injunction restraining the police from arresting him! So 1million police inside Aso Rock cannot arrest him because the Oga's at the top have helped him secure a two-for-one-kobo injunction! |
nairaman66: In a civilized world, the police ought to have followed DUE process- Charge the journalists to court! Your comments are just a figment of your imagination!! It's a pity you don't know ur right from wrong!!Why get yourself so flustered up over nothing? Like I do not know that the appropriate thing was to institute legal action against them(journalists) instead of clamping them into detention? Isn't that why they are suing the police for infringing on their freedom? My initial post was centred on why the police did not bother to charge them to court, after all, the presidency who ordered their arrest had come out earlier to refute the publication? Shouldn't they be tried for forgery and libel? If the police after arresting them have nothing against them, can we then infer that the presidential directive wasn't a fictitious one? I guess you are just an attention seeker! |
The police did not charge them to court for forgery/libel, rather they are the one suing the police for breach of trust. It seem the police were only interested in knowing their sources and the moles in the presidency. Should we then conclude that the reported presidential directive wasn't a fictitious one after all, the police released the journalists without pressing charges against them(journalists)! |
Its an open secret that GEJ and other top government officials are the ones protecting Maina. It all goes to show his pusillanimity and disservice to the people of Nigeria. Those looting our treasury into the depth of economic collapse are given presidential protection and are allowed to roam free, free from arrest and prosecution, whereas petty thieves are given penal servitude and imprisonment with hard labour! GEJ is the high-priest of thievery and malfeasance ![]() |

Clean ke? El-Rufai's credibility itself is questionable! How clean is a man who gave out $1million from poverty alleviation account to bring in Jay Z to Lagos as Bayelsa governor and his wife's alleged $13million fraud? An honest man who hobnobs with thieves that wears their loot as ornament and a badge of honour! Yeye is smelling! Someone who has no computable achievement as governor of oil rich Bayelsa! Some of us know of the "Grand Larceny of Jonathan" |
After all the noise by #team fresh air online cyber-troopers, propaganda puff, transformation myth and lies on Amanpour's program, power generation still remains a pipe-dream and a pie in the sky. Guess Evil Spirits are responsible for the "general system collapse." Msheew! |
eGuerrilla: Latest updateDoes it mean the published presidential directive wasn't a fictitious one after all? The police did not charge them to court for forgery/libel rather they are the one suing the police for breach of trust! Ha ha! |
Anything for Government Handout! Its all about the money! |
thelastPope: Give it up. You are making a foool of yourself. Learn to just leave it when you have goofed. You are looking more pathetic with every response. You goofed, simple. When you take a stand people notice. When you goof, they will call you out. That is the way it works. So the Merry Andrew's(undisputed clown) of NL claims another is making a fool of himself? Initially, you guys labelled me an hypocrite only to later claim I goofed? Rather than finding a way to justify your master's action, your guys are running amok over my post! |
awodman: Only in your warped mind will ARRESTS and CLAMPDOWN mean LEGAL PROCEEDINGS.Listen to yourself,So they are exactly same thing, rightWhy continue further with this moronic argument/defense of yours? After making arrest, isn't charging them to court the next thing and within the legal timeframe? Does arrest mean the same as illegal detention? Out of mischief, you took one out of my numerous posts on this fake directive to attack me! I'll pay you no mind cos you fellas who are now applauding this current move of the police were initially against it. So who is the real hypocrite? |
nuclearboy: With the deliberate misinterpreting above, its obvious you people know the truth but wish to cover it with noise!Bros I tire o! |
iykak47: To call the guy a hypocrite is an understatement, he is a disgrace. Imagine what he wrote about this issue before now ''FORGERY /DOCUMENTS FALSIFICATION IS A CRIME AGAINST THE STATE, ONE WOULD HAVE EXPECTED ARRESTS AND CLAMPDOWN ON THE MEDIA HOUSE BY THE SECURITY AGENCIES''. take dat, I repeat you are a disgrace, you are a chameleon.Hehehe! You idiiots looking for whom to pick on have failed to point out where/how I contradicted myself in all my posts on this fake presidential directive. So its now a crime to advice that legal proceedings be instituted against them instead of unlawful detention for the court to adjudicate? |
awodman: Now,this your comment on the earlier trade about this same issue,What are you, half a meatball? Where and how did I encourage unlawful detention in those posts? Its appropriate that the police scrupulously investigate the journalists for any tendentious report, but I did/do not subscribe to unlawful detainment! Bugger off! |
awodman: Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.its on record on this forum that you posted that GEJ shud tk action against these guys.Even when some posters brought your attention to how crude that action might be ,you stuck to your guns. Now here you are crying wolf when the same action has been takenWill you STFU! My opinion hasn't changed, but in taking such action the rule of law must be adhered to, which is instituting legal proceedings against them instead of unlawful detention. |
Where was the Nigerian police before Maina absconded? If they are sure the journalists have committed an infraction contrary to the law, they should institute legal action against them instead of this unlawful detention. Journalists cannot be compelled to disclose their source to the police, the court should decide! |
![]() |
slimghost: Thought you dared GEJ to take action to prove that the document is fake?Is that not the appropriate thing to do, and what the police is currently doing? Investigate where the presidential directive emanated from, and if it was forged by the media house. The most important thing is to institute legal action against them, and not police investigation and unlawful detention! |
The presidency/police should immediately institute legal action against the media house since they have evidence that publication was false, and that the journalists have committed an infraction contrary to the law instead of any strong arm tactics and political pranks of "beginning without end" police investigation and unlawful detention. Only the court can compel them to reveal their source! |
Na dem sabi! ![]() |
Igbos are already sold out to GEJ! Ohaneze has been bribed by GEJ to keep shut! www.nairaland.com/1246912/ohaneze-been-bribed-drop-igbo#15081538 |
gregg2: It is the opposition propaganda machinery that has been twisting government's positionSo government does not have its own propaganda machinery? I can see that you are one of Featherbrained chimpish fo0ls easily hoodwinked by whatever the malicious liars and attack dogs in government's media team have to say! Sorry I forgot you are one of the barking puppies! |
gregg2: I no longer read Liar Muhammed's trash anylonger. Its the same way some of us no longer take what comes out from this government known for double-talk, boo-boos, dirty tricks and irrational political behaviour seriously! |
Its a welcome development provided its not a patronage network for political jobbers! |
Who is Fasheun deceiving? Agreed that the contract has not been awarded to him yet but government is on the verge of doing that. Afenifere was the first to raise alarm over GEJ's desperate attempt to bribe OPC militants, and for all we know, Afenifere is not a political party but a Pan Yoruba group! |
@Op, God bless you. The Dopemu bridge doesn't need expansion, rather the government should build a new one. About the narrow roads esp. Akowonjo road, I imagine how many structures(residential buildings, malls, banks etc) will have to go for it. The fear of litigation/compensation is enough to deter any government from expanding that road! I hope Fashola listens to our plea! |
Demdem: and yet some fools will start talking rubbish anytime i call MEND killers and murderers. |
Afenifere was the first to raise concern over the alleged oil pipeline contract awarded to OPC, yet government did not come out to dispel such information. Now that ACN has also raised alarm, Abati is out with his usual political rhetoric, propaganda puff and denial! Who is deceiving who? |
