SweetBuns: 1. First off, Nigeria is a great country. You just haven't travelled wide enough to see it. Nigeria isn't even supposed to be a country, you just haven't been to a great country to know the difference. SweetBuns: 2. Price of stuffs varies with geographical locations so don't compare.[I am not comparing, I stated it as it is in my location. [quote author=SweetBuns post=73415600]3. Your method of eating differs from his. Good and fine. Different strokes for different folks. Are you sure you understand this thread? SweetBuns: 4. How is Niger like? I'd like to know Just like every other state, it has beautiful places and it's got its own slums. Suleja is very cool and the cost of living is fair. Security isn't great, virtually doesn't exist but most streets has its vigilante. No riots, probably because folks here are from different states. Water? Nah, none at all. Electricity? 12hrs a day in my location. |

HardMirror: Posting this here so as to get good participation.
I am creating this thread because Nigeria is a really amazing country where almost everything contracts from state to state. From culture, to language, and even cost of living. Nigeria is not an amazing country. HardMirror: Today i met an hausa boy complaining that the groundnut being sold for N50 in Lagos (ikeja) costs only N5 in Sokoto. that is a whooping 1000% difference in price. I can't say much because I don't know the quantity/size but the price of groundnut is on the high side here compared to other northern states. HardMirror: about a week ago a friend of mine from Akure called me and asked me to help her get an accommodation along Allen or Opebi, i asked her for her budget and she said N150k. I almost bust out laughing. Told her to get at least 300k for a self contained apartment (that is just a room with it's kitchen and bathroom). A two bedroom flat costs about 600k (lower average), 3 bedroom would cost over a million naira for most apartments here on allen. With 150k you can get a clean two bedroom flats here. Though it depends on the street, that same amount can only get a self con at APC quarters. HardMirror: I dont cook, i eat out always. Depending on what i wish to eat, a meal costs me from 300 naira (for street food like my favorite ghanian wanche) to 1500 if i wish to eat at the restaurants around. I don't like eating out, I cook almost everything I eat when I am at home. With 7k, I can cook three different soups and still have some change. A plate of food in restaurants here is between N250-500. HardMirror: Average hotel cost is 15,000 here except you want to go and lodge in the slumps here in ikeja such as ipodo area or ikeja under bridge area, you would get accommodation of 5k. However a good lodging will cost you a minimum of N35k for ibis hotel and the likes. Sheraton is not in my area. An average hotel room costs N5k here, you can get cleans ones with N2k though. It is about location and environment. HardMirror: Olosho would cost you 5k for the average ones sha. 10k for the presentable ones (if you know how to bargain) Never had any business with these ones so I have nothing to say. HardMirror: What else? Ask me any other costs you wish to know along opebi allen in ikeja.
Share key costs of commodities and accommodation in your area My location is Suleja, Niger state |

Xisnin: I don't believe this. There is a limit to the amount you can recharge daily. It was 6k then but I don't know if it has been increased. Dude got that money in fraudulent way, that must be why he didn't call MTN to report. There was a time I mistakenly recharged a phone number that's not even in use. I contacted Airtel immediately to file a report and it was reversed and 5 working days. |

speedyconnect3: What's type of silly agreement Tallesty?
So what if they print fake pins?
They will still rely on the damn clause? They can't print fake pins bro. It works this way. 1. They supply the encrypted pin through email. 2. I download, decrypt and print. So the only way there can be a mix up is... 1. If my email is hacked. 2. Like in my case, same pins supplied to two sub-distributors. speedyconnect3: Investigations can show when such pins were used and lines that used them and even locations they were used.
If actually those pins are real but just used, then investigations can show these. They're real. Y'know, some were good when I first printed the cards. You may pick a bundle and see that from 6-10 are still OK while 1-5 returned "used by another customer" error message when you try to load them. If you load 6&7 and wait let's say till evening, 8-10 will return used by another customer error when you recharge them. (that's why I concluded that someone else is distributing them) speedyconnect3: You might consider writing to NCC or CPC to wade into the matter.
They haven't given you a reasonable answer yet. I didn't write any of these people you mentioned because I didn't know they could help and I wasn't dealing directly with the Telcos. I will let it slide. The lesson I learned is to always read and understand everything in a written agreement before signing it. |

HardMirror: wow!!! Seems mmm did a lot of people in. Whenever you get scammed dont bother fighting the scammer, learn your lesson and move on. I have never reported any case to the police. It does not worth it Eberechi24: Sad story. More reasons I don't pity fraudsters/scammers when they are caught. They don't have conscience. MMM was another disaster to investors May God keep u strong. They're not fraudsters really, reputable company with branches in many states. They're still in operation. What I discovered was that two people were supplied the same pins but the first person distributed it first so I was on the losing side. More like an error from the sales department and they don't wanna own up to the truth. I lost because it was written in the signed agreement that they're not responsible for whatever happens to the pin once they're delivered to your inbox so they kept saying that my email was compromised and stuffs like that but that's not true. I marked every read email containing the pins as unread and I changed my password after every successful download. These orgs have smart lawyers that got their backs at all times. |

I don't even know if I should call it a bad investment because it was more like a fraud. Ordered for recharge card pins worth millions and was supplied fake pins. Spent the rest of the money fighting them but didn't win. It was a very bad experience and it pushed me to below ground zero.
The second one was a woman, things were going bad for her then and she was good to me when I was struggling to feed twice a day. Like she knew I was going through a hard time. Gives me food and money every Sunday. So I gave her N350k to start food stock business, her husband convinced her to invest it in MMM. she lost everything. |
