pocohantas: The same thing I am saying. Even in Nsukka, they said the ones in the school axis is not it and I should have tried the one from "one woman" or their mothers. Not minding the 3 I tried were also sold by recommemded "one woman". Same story and excuses. I am sure of I eat their mothers own, it still won't live to the okpa hype. I will pass, please. Alright |

pocohantas: Best believe I expected all the excuses. Some even said I should try their mum's okpa. Lols. I am not making excuses, not necessary. I'm just telling you, if you go to NSK to buy Okpa and compare it to what you buy in Enugu, you will see the difference. My aunt in Enugu always asks me to buy some for her whenever I'm visiting. The thing is, most of those sellers, especially the ones hawking Okpa in parks, know that most of their customers won't buy from them again, so they add something to the mix. There's a woman here who sells Okpa. She's from Ebonyi State, and everyone thinks her Okpa is the best. So, I ate it one day and was like, 'Na wetin people dey hype be this?' You should have seen the way they looked at me. So one day, I cooked Okpa myself and also bought some from the same woman and asked them to taste both. Hawkers add something to what they sell. Even we dey Nsukka know where to buy and where not to buy. |

FRANCISTOWN: There was a guy that had financial issue back in the days. I gave him accomodation for good six months for free. I gave him free food 3 times everyday, bought him clothes, alcohol, flexed him and even arraged hookup girls for him once in a while. I introduced him to someone who wanted a PA. He got the Job, and had the opportunity to relocate to Canada. If you knew what this guy did to me when I was trying to process my relocation to Canada ehn? Not like I was expecting him to pay me back or anything but being an antagonist towards my own progress was the least I expected of him.
I never even get the guy time. Them go still later deport am walahi. E go just wake one day see say light no dey.
So what am I'm saying is, just as you've said. People don't remember the good you do them. Way back, I did something for a man in the bank, and we exchanged contacts. He said I should call him, and I promised to, but I never did until one afternoon, I thought, 'Make I call this man sef.' I called and introduced myself, and he was happy to hear from me. He said he had been wondering why I hadn't called. He asked to meet, and I agreed. I went to his house and was welcomed like I be somebody. It turned out he made a big deal of what I did for him and had even told his wife. He gave me 100k that day and said I should call him at the end of the month if he hadn't called. Month-end came, and I called. He said I should come with my CV to a hotel here in Abuja because he had a job for me. I told him where I go school reach, and he was silent for a few seconds. Alas, he was like, 'Uche, I put in my best to see that you get this job.' I apologized again and told him that if he wouldn't mind, I have someone very qualified for the job. He didn’t like the idea, but after much persuasion, he said okay. I gave my guy the gist and linked them up. He got the job and moved because it came with accommodation, and that was the last time I saw him. A few months later, I noticed that he doesn't call or text unless I do, so I stopped that too, and that is it. It's from the man that I get to hear about him. Y'know, sometimes he would say on the phone, 'Your friend is doing great; I ran into him. He is now this or that.' So yeah, people are all about themselves now. |

SmartPolician: I don't want to believe that ladies' obsession with court marriages is to get 50% of their husbands' assets. This is the same thing that destroyed marriage institutions in the west. And Nigerian ladies with yahoo mindsets have been its biggest beneficiaries in the west. Most times, it's because of wicked in-laws. Ladies go into marriage with the mindset that their husband will die first, so they want to be sure that no brother inlaw or any inlaw will have a claim to the husband's property when he dies from things that wouldn't have killed him if he was single. |

Nowadays, na only a handful of people remember the good you did yesterday. You will pour your heart out for someone today, and within a week, that same person might turn around and ask, 'What have you done for me in this life?
The Bible had it right: 'But understand this, in the last days there will be times of difficulty. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, and unholy.' (2 Timothy 3:1-2). |

EreluRoz: As if the men we have are saints, modern men deserve modern women it's just that the other gender feels it's their birthright to bag a good woman no matter the kind of lifestyle they have lived. God blessed Adam with Eve and not Jezebel God blessed Abraham with Sarah and not Delilah
So I'm saying that good men breeds good women, you can't eat your cake and have it. Eve is a curse to Adam and all of us. She's not a blessing |

FreeStuffsNG: Eeyah.....
There's an e-evaluation and e-invoicing platform that the CBN introduced to the customs and it uses a kind of universal pricing for the goods. Most times, people who br8ng in goods under-invoice to reduce customs rates to pay while those who export over-invoice so that they can attract export incentives. The e-evaluation and e-invoicing was introduced to curb this and was introduced during the Emefiele-led CBN era. The best thing to do now is to pay or else your goods will not be released to you. If you go and settle the wrong guys you may end up with double jeopardy niyen.
It's always better to have an idea of the costs of these goods ahead before sending them because a bargain sale may not be the same as the price on the e-evaluation and e-invoicing platform. Have you experienced this personally? |

I'm sure the Yoruba people in the said community freely voted in the 2023 election. You really think an Igbo person will wake up in the morning and what is on his mind a Yoruba neighbor? LMAO. I grew up in NSK and if you know NSK well you will know that we have a large community of Igala, Hausa, Yoruba etc, nobody get your time. There's so much competition amongst Igbos so no time for any rubbish. |

The fuel is ridiculously expensive. Yet we still cannot get it. Transport fare is over the roof.
Yet Nigerians are silent. I have looked across Nairaland. No single topic on this scarcity. We are still trending BBnaija on Twitter. Are Nigerians stupid?
Things are very very hard for Nigerians this period. Why are we silent? Why are we cowards? Democracy becomes a curse in a country where the majority of the population is ignorant or foolish. So yes, majority of Nigerians are fools. |
