When the interest of the minority conflicts with that of the majority, the interest of the majority stands.Am sorry, there is nothing you can do.Would you rather have your house there while the whole community stays in darkness? I don't know about other states, but in Lagos, I think you will be well compensated.
TV/Movies › Re: How can We As Nigerians make Nollywood better by Tcrack(m): 4:26pm On Nov 23, 2009
Write better stories, Write better stories, Write better stories. This cannot be over emphasized.
work on our Casting and give the job/role to the best actor, not giving Said Balogun a role that fits Jim Iyke or making Genevieve a secondary school student.
Organize FREE AND FAIR talent hunt so that we can discover new talents. I am tired of seeing Jim Iyke in every movie.
Fight piracy so that there will be adequate ROI for investors which will make others interested in the movie business.
Set up film institute like the  New York Film Academy  so that we can train professionals. 99% of the people in Nollywood don't have any form of education in movie making/business. Most of them just crashed into it.From the director downwards.Thats why most of our films are mediocre.
Organize CREDIBLE awards that will reward those who deserve it. Something like the Hip Hop world or Sound City Awards.
Set up a better distribution frame work for both sales and rentals.
Set up a COMPETENT census board. The one we have now is run on the basis of man-know-man. Shiorr
Create a professional website (www.nollywood.com) that will project Nollywood in a better light to the rest of the world. The one we have now is trash. What kind of website has Google adverts on it homepage?
Change the name from Nollywood to something more Nigerian.
Ban all this 200-in-one American/Indian pirated films. The are not doing our local industry any good.

Just my 2cents.

APPEARANCE! APPEARANCE!! APPEARANCE!!!.Never take that word lightly. once you av worked on your appearance:
1: Try to SOCIALIZE more. BF wont come inside you house to look for you. you have to go to places where you can
"display your market".ALONE eg. parties, church, cinema, beach, eateries, pool etc,
2:When you see a guy you like approach him with a smile. He wont bite.
3:Make friends with girls that have male friends. they will easily hook you up with someone.
4:Join a dating sit, you will be surprised how many mail you will get per day, though, 90% of them will be silly.

If you try all this steps am sure you will begin to chase guys away because you will have more than you can handle.
Dont be in a hurry to get married. remember that ITS BETTER TO BE ALONE THAN TO BE ALONE WITH THE WRONG PERSON.

Romance › Re: Would You Like It If A Girl Was To Approach You? (directed To The Fellas) by Tcrack(m): 11:59am On Nov 22, 2009
approaching a guy doesn't make you cheap. its the things you do after the meeting that defines you as cheap or otherwise.from my own experience, the few girls that approached me were bad news.not because they approached me, but because they were always after the money.

most temperamental pple i know have serious ego problems.I know of a guy who can kill if you call him by just his first name instead of adding uncle/broda. try to view life and everything you own as vanity and am sure you will find it easier to "let go". when i get angry which i seldom do, I take a walk away from the person/thing that got me angry.sometimes i ask myself "what if i die now, will this thing am yelling about really matter?"

Politics › Re: Delta State May Okay Death Penalty For Kidnappers by Tcrack(m): 2:57am On Nov 20, 2009
airzzee:
DEATH PENALTY?
DO YOU KNOW WHY STATE GOVTS AND FG ARE ALL ADVOCATING DEATH PENALTY? I HAVE SAID IT BEFORE ON NL. KIDNAPPING IS THE ONLY CRIME THAT AFFECTS THE HIGH AND MIGHTY – THEIR CHILDREN, THEIR SPOUSES, THEIR PARENTS AND RELATIVES. THAT’S WHY.

IT’S INDEED SAD. DONT EVER THINK THEY ARE DOING IT BECAUSE OF YOU & ME. THEY ARE ALL ASKING FOR DEATH PENALTY BECAUSE THEY AFFECTED. EVERYDAY IN NIGERIA, THE POOR MASSES ARE ROBBED, RAPED, USED FOR RITUALS, MURDERED IN COLD BLOOD, MALTREATED BOTH AT HOME AND ABROAD, EXECUTED IN CHINA, SINGAPORE (I STILL REMEMBER TOOCHI IWUCHUKWU, THE POOR 19-YEAR OLD, ERRONEOUSLY(??) EXECUTED IN SINGAPORE JANUARY 2007, UNDER WATCHFUL EYES OF OBJ). HAVE THESE GOVTS DONE ANYTHING IN THESE REGARDS? LAST WEEK SO, WE TALKED ABOUT NYSC (CORPS MEMBERS) THAT HAVE EITHER BEEN RAPED OR RAPED & MURDERED; UP TILL NOW NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. DON’T EVER THINK IT IS BECAUSE OF YOU AND ME. IT IS SIMPLY BECAUSE SOLUDO’S FATHER, COMMISSIONER’S RELATIVE IN DELTA/EDO STATES, GOVERNOR’S AIDES, PRESIDENTIAL UNTOUCHABLES ARE BEING KIDNAPPED.

IT IS REALLY TEARFUL, REALLY PAINFUL, REALLY UNFORTUNATE THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT US. OBVIOUSLY NIGERIAN DO NOT DESERVE THE BEST IN ALL RAMIFICATIONS.

DEATH SENTENCE FOR KIDNAPPERS? OUR gods (SORRY, GOVTS) HAVE FINALLLY COME TO OUR RESCUE INDEED!!!

I HURT. I BLEED. I WEEP. GOD BLESS NIGERIA, A SHAMELESS, FAILED STATE.

Chuks84:
Amodu also coached Nigeria after Atlanta, it was obvious he was incompetent and he was replaced with phillipe troussier who unfortunately was no better than him. You want facts, all you have to do is watch one of our matches. we have won most of them, yes. but were u satisfied with any of these wins. its obvious to anybody that we just have one tactic: play the long ball and pray for luck. have you seen siasia's boys? even though they lose their matches, i stil get entertained, i marvel at the technical abilities of the coach, the way they pass the ball, somewhat reminiscent of arsene wengers arsenal. i wish our super eagles would play like that. some people have refused to face facts, instead they resort to calling those who are ready to point out the inadequacies of our team "Amodu Bashers".
listen to yourself.

Chuks84:
Did Kenya play like a distraught team?

Your likes are the ones screaming he could not beat Mozambique, did Tunisia not lose to mozambique when it even mattered the most (and they had ONLY ONE shot on goal).

12 games, 9 wins, 9 clean sheets, 3 draws, No game lost, 20 goals scored, 5 goals conceded in 12 games and a WC ticket is not horrible by my standards.

FACT: No other team IN AFRICA has a better qualifying statistics bar goals scored/conceded statistics. NO OTHER TEAM.

Even Brazil has a worse qualifying record for WC 2010 to this.

The draw with Mozambique made us unnecessarily condemn Amodu and put pressure on his team despite having being magnificent in the first 6 games (although some fools were condemning him even then).

Second time he is qualifying us for a WC.
Football is a game of results.it dose not matter how you get it, what matters is that you get it.all of you calling for amodus sack were the same ones call for Onigbinde in 2002, he gave us our worst outing ever  in the world cup.the same people were the ones calling for Berti Vogts, that man gave us our worst nations cup result  in recent history. Now this same people are looking for another oyinbo coach.why are we Nigerians always looking for short cuts?
