Let remove the restrictions he made mention of. He said something about political will to provide funding. That's the main problem.

exactly my thought, they could violate our airspace and there is nothing we can do about it.
US has armed drones stationed in our neighboring countries since.

UAV are being brought down by manpads in the Middleeast. We have enough of them . Nigeria F-7s are also armed for Air to Air so there's something we can do about it.

America doesn't need armed drones to spy you. Their Armed drones will easily be detected by radar systems on ground.

NAF C-130 land safely in Benghazi airport awaiting to evacuate SBS and rescued Nigeria citizens.
And Libya military, tribal gang and ISIS just sit and watch abi huhhuh
Nigerian military don't have the capability to carry an assault in Libya period.

Since you don't have time for movies, create time and watch ,'Soldier of Benghazi' you will understand.
Those are SF work. Such mission is possible only with a very high level of secrecy, intelligence and a well maintained time frame.

It's something any decent SF can carry out. You don't need any military aircraft to be deployed.

Like I said you need a very high level of intelligence to do that .
Car TalkRe: It's Medically Wrong To Use The AC Just Immediately You Enter Your Hot Car by tdayof(m): 7:30am On Nov 30, 2017
According to research, the car dashboard, seats, air freshener emit Benzene, a Cancer causing toxin (carcinogen).
Alot of big vehicle manufacturers put this shit is place hence reason why their vehicles are expensive.

A Mercedes isn't just expensive because of its engine and others. Most manufacturers put this in place and therefore this reason isn't valid. Cost of curing some parts etc and suppressing the toxin contents are being considered.

Yes, there are contents of upholstery but alot of vehicles limit it. You simply can't neglect stop all these but the danger level is almost nonexistent.

http://www.classikolic.com/2017/11/slave-trade-france-to-take-military.html?m=1 I wished AU still had balls like before.
If it was an European country, or NATO member will France consider a military action?

AU, only has to be blamed for not being able to mandate it's member to stop the slave trade within a given period of time and if such isn't done, then they can consider a military section.

Re-look, slowly, Chkil's original post, your post, my post.
To re-iterate: the Nigerian Army could have itself of all those variants you admired on the Turkish vehicle when they bought REVA APCs, which come in even more variants. NA doctrine or their needs at the time militated against that.
In simple terms, they are not going to forgo the opportunity to acquire those capabilities if they need them when transacting with an established supplier, for an untested platform that they're still evaluating. They're far more professional for that.

"Ambulance and crossing bridges"?
Where do you see that? A wheeled APC with bridge-laying equipment?
Now that's an engineering feat I'd love to see.
I feel it's something needed in the NE. The problem could have been funds. If we had to get a MRAP equipped with sensors, it will cost more and moreover getting hit by an IED means waste of money.

Any which way, If we had gotten our REVA in such configuration, it would have been a game changer in the NE+ a motion sensor.
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by tdayof(m): 10:19pm On Nov 29, 2017
Frumentum:
I'm confused. What's lacking in the REVA variants which the Turkish APCs have?
FLIR - check;
RWS - check;
Ambulance - NA bought those.

I included every variant of the Turkish vehicle that you wished for, which the NA could've acquired when transacting with ICP.
Hell, I left out 2 others!
Sorry, thought you were talking about variants such as ambulance, those for crossing bridges etc.

Let leave that.

What I'm trying to say is that we operate too much standard APC. We need something packing sensors and automatic fire powers. We already operate enough APC/MRAP where we make use of gunners. APC/MRAPS with sensors would have done better in the north east so I doubt it's about NA doctrine.

Depends on Nigerian Army doctrine and they want, surely?
After all, they bought REVA APCs and didn't avail themselves of all these other variants:
Not really different variants like that. I am talking about arming proforce ARA with multiple configurations of turrets and sensors.

The 'threat to life' with course attendance no be here.
Miss 3 classes and you are due for the next level grade! Meaning, no matter what you score, you can only get a B-grade maximum.

I am coping, the assignments are pouring in like.
I wish this part was different.
How effective is that over there.

My school has a rule which goes thus:

Miss a class with a note written prior = -1 point
Miss a class deliberately = -1.5
Miss a class three times = No test and sometimes no exam (depends on course and lecturer )
Miss a class 5-6 times in a semester = No exam.

Still some guys don't care.

Anyway Nigeria is zoo full of zombies that don't know their code of conduct
It's an intelligence organization but not all of them do intel so some of them do not have their identity hidden. Depending on what your sector is.

There's also nothing to point to her as a DSS officer.

guided artillery rockets

all by oneself without any help frankly speaking 5 years or more and even then not sure if its serial production will start at the end of 10 years.

if extensive foreign help and TOT taken then optimistically end of 5 years serial production should start .

if u approach a experienced OEM for help, they will ask u to base ur rocket closely on one of their products , for ease of development and cut down development time cycle and cost.

in real life things r quite different , anticipated project time delimitation is a an exercise which takes months to figure out , and here i did it in 10 seconds grin

development cost will vary , 100 million for guided artillery rockets at the minimum, not sure though

so as i say always plz take my opinions with a pinch of salt wink
Okay, missile development itself will be divided into things like

Dome
Seeker
Warhead
Guidance
Electronics
Power supply
Airframe
Insulation
Propulsion
Datalink
Flight control.

Now, NASDRA should have technology concerning Guidance, electronics, propulsion and Datalink. With CSTP experience in warhead and others.

I feel a joint venture between some organizations in Nigeria and the timeline should be well reduced.

for space rockets ?

staggered development of progressively powerful space rockets for low orbits to sun synchronous orbits to geostationary orbits and for increasing tonnages will require billions of dollars investment spread over a period of time .

impossible to put exact amount for me

anyways sounding rockets r a good start , many countries developed their rocket tech while starting from powerful sounding rockets.
For something like this.

Big men want returns/more money/interest. just look at our Military's spending, not really big ticket. So they just view the defence industry as nothing more than "national pride" and not a money spinner
It's also about interest. If they're willing to drop the money, then they'll make their cash.

We all know there's money is real Estate but then Dangote isn't there because of interest.

Yes, CSTP owns the technology needed for this development.

How much can it cost to set up a facility @nemesis4u.

The problem is most of our big men here are into oil, real estate and telecommunication.

If we had them in defence. Dropping around $20M on a joint venture shouldn't be hard while you make your cash.

Nemesis4u. How feasible is developing guided ammunitions such as missiles, rockets etc.

How many years do you think will take a company to work on that successfully.

Nigeria already manufactures rockets. What do you think they need more and how far to go into something better as mentioned above.
