Kalapizim: Actually there is a possibility of the jets flying in from NAF 222 Wings base at Ilorin. They are responsible for the south western flank of our border. Alpha jets used to be stationed there(don't know about now sha). Not all the F-7 are stationed at TAC so its just might truly be an F7 . How wish you could tell the sound then I would tell you weather it was an alpha or F-7. It's been really long so I can't remember . However, it's obvious whatever pulled that stunt was flying at mach 1 |

Odunayaw: It could be a mutant large bird But if I get you correctly, you mean contrails. Airplanes with jet engines do that What he's talking about isn't contrail. I do sight it around ologuneru too. It goes really fast but then I no sabi anything. I was actually talking to my brother few weeks ago about the stuff. Then I do think it's some rocket ish. It's been years I last noticed it. |

medic555: but i do see this white lines usual to supersonic jets in the air frequently Hahahahaha damn true. They don't need to be stationed in southwest before their presence can be seen. The CAS said the NAF is ready to be deployed to anywhere in Nigeria in 15 minutes. Could be some kind of sorty but Infact I doubt if you fit find any jet for Ibadan as we dey talk. |

Kalapizim: well a mid level Naval officer once told me the Navy had a functioning ADS back in 2014, of course its not a 100% percent source. we just might get shocked Air defense system should be in control of the Airforce. Except he's taking about a naval based Air defence capability. NNS unity and others do not possess missiles on board but I can quote the CNS saying the navy has anti air warfare capability. |

nemesis4u: if DSS send in female personnel to carry u i think u should risk it
first let me clarify my views r strictly amateurish and just for the sake of interest / conversation and not to be taken as facts
there r 2 observation satellites niger/iasat2 and nigeria/sat x in sun synchronous orbits
niger/iasat2 has the best resolution of the 2 at 2.5m (open source)
so this rules out nige/riasat x
mig29 has a length of 17.3m, breadth of 11.99m
so nigerias/at2 is in business
but problem is niger/iasat2 has a global revisit time of 2 days due to its orbit ie if the sat passes over abuja it will visit abuja again after 2 days or so
what if the suda/nese keep track of the satellite path and time of pass , ie after the sat makes a pass over a airfield then after a predetermined time based on the sats coverage its jets can come out for take off which will not be detected or any other activity at the base atleast for next 24-48 hrs
point being sats in near polar sun synchronous orbits r good at global reconnaissance (since the sat orbits north to south and since the earth rotates from west to east it allows the sat to have near global reconnaissance coverage but not continuous view of the same area ), however geostationary satellites r good in continuous near real time reconnaissance becz they keep viewing the same potion of the earth at all times .
so orbit plays a important role
pic1 2.5m resolution imagery from ni/geriasat2 (most probably degraded)
pic2 CSTD has a 7.3m X band terminal for imagery/data reception from nige/riasat2 and x , it is not a radar.
chances r the guys from DHQ are watching everybody of interest globally Yes orbit definitely plays an important reason. I do not know how it's done but I was told there's a 24/7 coverage of the borderline around those sides. Nah. A radar system purchased from the Russian to be precise was linked to the what soever. The command center is also bases in Northern NIGERIA. I tried checking online for any source on the program but can't find any. |

Odunayaw: Make person de look like agbado na the way sometimes
Sometimes I can't just put a button on why DHQ refuses to get ADS. I have looked at it politically, monetarily even "threat-ically". I can't just understand In terms of threat. We really need a good ADS. I doubt if NAF is even thinking about it Probably by 2019 except we can buy something not included in the budget. The navy 2x LST on orders as confirmed by the budget should also neccesitate a call for corvette or a frigate. However I think the navy has a plan for this but not included in the budget because the Senate said it will work on releasing a special fund for that. |

ru sure about this part ? He's actually right. I know CSTD linked a radar system to a Nigerian satali.te (exact sat is what I'm not sure about). I don't really know how this works but . Som.e things are better left untold before DSS carry person IMO. The guys from DHQ are watchful of Cameroon and Chad. What I don't know is why we don't just get some ADS from China. |

We've been maintaining peace in your country. With over 1000 tanks + MIG 29 etc. Yet you can't maintain peace in your country and you're thinking of winning a war against Nigeria. Your generals must be embarrassed with your stupidity.

Carried by UAV? A signal repeater platform. It's the same repeater being used for our radio communication system. The repeater is the only way we could cover a long range so it was modified to fit in. Had a single American on the project. He works with PERATON with others being Nigerian. 2 Nigerians from MIT guys inclusive. |

SupremeCourt: Sudan’s Military Industry Corporation (MIC-Sudan, Stand 12-D30) BK-3 Burkan precision-guided glide bomb. The weapon has been developed by the SAFAT Aviation Group and is in service with the Sudanese air force. It is cleared for carriage by the air force’s Mikoyan MiG-29, Sukhoi Su-24 and Hongdu A-5 tactical aircraft.
Weighing 270kg, the BK-3 has a blast fragmentation warhead and is suspended from standard 14-in lugs. The weapon has a tail guidance section and a pop-out wing kit that allows it to reach out to 80km when launched from an altitude of 32,800ft (10,000m). Guidance is by a combination of an inertial system with GPS/GLONASS satellite positioning.
Target location co-ordinates can be programmed prior to launch, or updated from the cockpit in flight
MADE IN SUDAN
---------------------------------------------------- This is what I want to see in Nigeria. Developing guided ammunitions. |
