What my husband's company does is not in any way related to my course of study. I don't work in my husband's company, I am only a director and share holder.

If I mistakenly submit a leave letter from my husband's company, I will be doing myself more harm than good, because I am not expected to work some where else since I work with my current employer on a full time basis.

bighead1:
You are getting it all wrong, since your husband has a company where you work, that is what i was referring to.

Are u a mathematician? @Confidence Interval... lol. Unfortunately, I work with this very reputable firm that takes ethics very seriously. Apart from that, I am not comfortable submitting any document that is not genuine, bearing in fact that they may call for verification.

I have put up my best, the application cannot be perfect, that is where Grace comes in. Notwithstanding all I am submitting, I rely on God's grace and will 100%.

bighead1:
@Team12, Nice concept you put up there.

That is what i myself will even employ now.
But why can't you draft a letter for leave of
absence or what ever they call it where by
the letter would indicate that your job awaits
you when you are done with your studies.

I am just saying this so as not to give the VO
any chance at all not to grant you the TRV,
cos joke aside your structure of arrangement is superb.

And i have a 95% Confidence Interval that you will be granted.

Thanks.

diamondsare4eva:
Go ahead and include your daughter. Do not leave her behind. There is no where the Canadian consulate said anything about traveling with or leaving behind a relative is a home tie. They are only concerned about your finances because daycare is expensive and since you are not a resident that will be entitled to a government subsidized daycare, this should not be something you should be worried about once you can demonstrate that you have the means to support yourself and your daughter is enough proof.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 5:05pm On May 06, 2015
I am sure that the VO knows that study leave is not a must have and that it depends on company policy. While I know that it aids your application, I don't believe that it is compulsory to submit one, especially if you can't get it.

omooba2015:
Ok... But it compulsory, since you are working.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 3:20pm On May 06, 2015
Nope! It doesn't work that way. Each firm has it's own policy. I spent 3.5 years with previous employer and have only spent 2 years with this employer.
My current employer's policy is 4 years before study leave.

omooba2015:
If you have more yrs working experience in ur previous employment, your current employer can give u, it may not be with pay. Are you clear ma

Guy wetin be 'SO" lol?

darefestus:
Bro, She needent do that-Sincethere is adequate provision for the child(She stated funds to support her education)..That, and the fact that her SO is here in Nigeria shld be enough home tie.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 2:32pm On May 06, 2015
Amen o. That's it mehn, Grace! Grace!! and Grace!!!

May God's will be done in all...Amen

darefestus:
@Team12
You know, you see some docs on here and you are like-Wow, see packaging.
All that is left is the right dose of grace and you will be smiling with you and your daughter's TRV soon.

Tnx for the best wishes. I wish you same.

Ugochux:

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 2:28pm On May 06, 2015
Amen o.

I have only spent about 2 years with my current employer and you only qualify for study leave when you have spent upto 4 years. So that will not work for me

Omonjoe:
U have a very good application package. I am not seeing study leave letter and I think that would be a good added advantage. Wishing u supernatural favour!!!
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 2:26pm On May 06, 2015
@omooba2015 Thanks for your suggestion. I am planning online route.

I stated in my SOP that I have no one to leave my daughter with (which is true). If I now apply for her later, won't they wonder why I did not apply for her earlier, what excuse will I give them, won't they wonder who she was with while I was away?

I have other home ties though:
1. Hubby
2. I am a director in one of his companies
3. Pension account in Naija
4. NHF account in Naija
5. My hubby's landed property

I want to give it a try, since there is enough funds to go round. If I am delayed, I will reapply without her (depending on the reason for delay)

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 12:59pm On May 06, 2015
Thanks dear. But na God i dey look oooo. I tot so too, just that it's too early to get her a spot in any of the schools yet. She has been on the waitlist since October 2014 and I was informed by my school's day care yesterday that she has a good chance of getting a spot in august....so I can't pay anything for her yet.

Another thing I must mention, in our last application for a visiting visa, we stated that we had a family member who is a citizen in Canada, he actually invited us, but he wasn't available when they called him to confirm (he is a pilot and rarely around), so we were refused on the grounds of "purpose of visit".

Now I had to still state it in the questionnaire online...I hope this will not affect me ooo. My hope is the fact that he lives in Ontario and I am going to Manitoba...

hayqinsbFX:
@team12 your documents dey on point die...
But doing a down payments for some of your child's needs in a child care in canada would be a very strong statement of your daughter to be in perfect condition.

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 8:17pm On May 05, 2015
aiit then! Will try and do it...I just don't like all these police fiffle them...***rolling eyes***

darefestus:
Yes..Yes...and Yes
I personally have two friends who got TRV without submitting the PCC..You could also read parts past to see people who didnt submit and still got their visas.
I must warn you though that all of these people submitted online so it may have more significance if you will be submitting paper application.
In saying that I think your best bet is getting it and having ine less thing to worry about during the wait for trv..
Success.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 7:51pm On May 05, 2015
Please anyone that has chopped TRV without Police report kindly signify by raising up ya hand grin

...but seriously in need to know if pple have been successful without it.

darefestus:
Like it or not there is always a tension zone after submission. Many people just don't state it here while waiting it out and others cant be bothered about it after their TRV has been approved.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 7:04pm On May 05, 2015
Nope. I don't think it is compulsory...*i stand to be corrected* ...like @Ugocchux tongue

Taike:
@Team12 Are you including a police clearance certificate as part of your documents?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 5:34pm On May 05, 2015
Thanks a mil!

pchax:
Don't sweat it about the CAC documents. The Architecture stuff should be sufficient. You don't want to push your co-sponsor that hard that he revolts. If you are not still satisfied with the Architecture certificate and he doesn't want to release his CAC docs, you say he is a big shot in the Architecture industry, then his picture with his position or something might have appeared in the news. Print the newspaper page. I have not seen anyone do it here though but i guess it will work because I know someone who used it for an American Visa application to prove he was an executive officer in a bank. He included ALL newspaper cutouts where his face appeared.
Wishing you the best!

Thank you for the info.

JohnDuke259:
As at middle of March, I was asked to go pay in a nearby GT bank. I was given a 'customised' teller. They told me they only accept POS payment for some other services.

You should be there before 10:00 Mondays to Friday or between 8:00 and 9:00 on Saturday.

Cheers!
