OK.

Kepner:
I think we can agree that yours was under the 'fixed/special case' I mentioned cos you were to begin your program in the summer session.

And from my understanding, regular uOttawa students generally observe the summer break without having to pay tuition for the summer (I think, except he/she wants to take courses or perform any other academic activity).

This has been confirmed by active students.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12:
...So pple dont typically apply for pre-masters. But most schools give u pre-masters if the admission committee is not satisfied or convinced that you qualify for direct Masters program (and they dont want to decline your application). The Pre-Masters is kinda like PGD (It is also called a Post Baccalaureate Diploma)

kfrosh:
Please can you shed more light on the Pre Masters you stated here and does it have the same requirement for Masters program too when applying.

...For how to pay your fees, you can go to your uozone account, click on "Finances and Jobs"...under "Your Student Account", you will see "bank-Bank transfer for International Students". You will need to use Western Union Business Solutions’ bank-to-bank transfer for your payment.

Kepner:
Hi! Lol@impatient dad, I was in a similar position few months back.

Well according to the kind help I got here, uOttawa students hardly take courses during the summer (except it's fixed or any other special case).
So the $7014 will be per session (fall session & winter session) and that'll make $7014*2 for a full year's payment.
But you should also note that fall session may be a little more expensive than the winter session, and you should also make consideration for the health plan fees.

I hope this helps.

Btw...what course & session are you going for?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 9:08pm On Apr 02, 2015
Based on the information I got from FPGS Uottawa when I got my Masters admission at Uottawa, the tuition was approximately 6k5 per session for 3 session in a year. i.e about 19k per year. You have to pay tuition for all sessions, as long as you are still a student...also my course was to start in summer 2015...so yes they take courses in Summer. I am also aware that Pre-Masters is usually more expensive than Masters itself...

are u sure you are using the right number? Use the link below and type in ur track number n the box "Track a Shipment. Enter up to 30 FedEx tracking numbers (one tracking number per line)". Do not add space in between numbers.

http://www.fedex.com/ng/

deedee0:
Ok. I dropped it yesterday morning. This morning track message still says 'tracking number not found'.

Use Fedex, very reliable, delivers in 3 working days. Fee is about N10,260

morgan2006:
Good morning House,

I wanna send my transcript to my school in canada but I want to ask for the opinion of the house. Which courier service is fastest and reliable? FedEx, DHL or UPS? I need to make this decision quick. Please help me out. many thanks

Fedex takes 3 working days to Canada...not 3 weeks. I sent all my docs through them.

MockinJay:
Yeah. Go to Waec head office with #20k+(to be on the safer side)

You will be needing a letter of attestation either from a clergyman, Imam or from the Court.

Also, An affidavit. Both should cost you nothing less than #1k.

You will pay for the original result and send via courier. Depending on location and the choice of courier. FedEx is #9500 to USA and Canada.
Chase is #8250 or so to Canada.

It would take approximately three weeks for it to get there. Waec will have to verify the result and all. If it's Waec Nov/Dec, take with you your original Certificate!

Based on the application guide, Comon law means that "you have lived continuously with your partner in a marital-type relationship for a minimum of one year". Married people are not common-law partners...this kind of relationship is common in western countries where people in a relationship move in together and live together for years without being married.

sanpay:
yes, you will have to fill the TRV forms and dat of Study permit made outside Canada. You Said She's your Wyf, all you need to do is provide ur wedding certificate and pictures if necessary. I dunno abt the declaration of common law partner......Use GCKEY. Yes u can use ur dad as sponsor and you serve as a Co Sponsor. Yes you can withdraw the money AFTER u have printed ur statement if U'r in desperate need for d money as no one has d right to disclose your account balance but it's not always advisable. Wish u guys all d success in the world....

... ^^^There are thousands of schools to pick from.... why this one... and u already read on Facebook where someone called the school a scam... That means something is wrong somewhere... The student may have had a bad experience... Don't think u wanna take that risk... Pick other schools from list of approved schools... Best of luck...
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 2:14pm On Mar 26, 2015
I agree!!! To avoid stories that touch, applicants should apply to more than one school in different provinces..At least you will meet the requirements for one.

Just to add to what Iyaejima has said, find below info I copied and pasted from cic website on how to avoid delay in your Visa processing wrt Medical report

"You can avoid delays by getting your medical examination done quickly and submitting it with your application. It is not mandatory to complete a medical examination when you submit your application. However, doing so will result in faster processing. For more information about who needs a medical examination, please visit www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/index.asp."

You can also visit the following link on steps to take to do an upfront Medical check. I have also copied and pasted the steps below for easy glance thru

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-temp.asp

"Two ways you can have your medical exam

1. Wait for instructions from the visa office after you have submitted your application
2. Undergo your medical exam before you submit your application. This is called an up front medical exam. You can contact a panel physician directly to get your medical exam if you apply under one of the following categories:

Workers
Students
Visitors (including Parent and Grandparent Super Visa)

Once your medical exam has been completed, the doctor will give you a document confirming that you underwent a medical exam. You must include a copy of that document with your application.

If the doctor works with the eMedical electronic system: they will give you the information sheet printout.

If the doctor works with a paper system: they will give you a copy of the IMM 1017B Upfront Medical Report form.

You must attach that form to your application before you submit it the visa office. If you apply online, you must upload that form before you can submit your application".

IyaEjima:
Present Sir!... Go to consultants practice wiv 28k, ur intl passport, 2passport photographs & a photocopy of ur data page of d passport.. Tell dem u wanna do upfront Medicals for Canada visa app.. They'll give u an eMedical sheet 2 upload on ur mYCIC acct at d end of d exercise.. Pls rmbr to select yes for d Q abt panel physician when filling d questionnaire... Wishing u loads of grace & favor!

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Team12: 6:31pm On Mar 12, 2015
I am sorry, but there was no such portion/section in the application forms I filled for all the schools I mentioned.

berexio1:
When applying to these schools, am sure there is a portion on the app dat confirms if u have gotten in touch with any professor in ur area of reasearch...Sure the school tries to help confirm a supervisor for u in that light...I used to believe all MSc(Research) based programs are sponsored..I guess its not thesame anymore from ur statements......

It is when you fill "No" that you would be required to do medicals. If you answer "yes", you will be required to upload the Medical report with your application.

House pls correct me if I am wrong.

justicia:
Thanks realone! House, pls is it only when u filled yes to the question whether u have been examined by a CIC accredited physician that Medical Exam Result is required in the upload section of ur online application? I filled No, buh I still have Medical Exam Required in the upload section. Online routers pls comment.
