what punishment will you give to IBB and OBJ should you win nigeria Presidency?? and what punishment will you give nigerians for not voting you (and defending their votes with petrol at the polling booth) for 12 yrs since you started begging them?? |
I never wrote my goals for 2012, i just had mental image of it. i was able to get the land i always wanted for 2012 and managed to reduce my debt to near zero. I also learnt that i must write clear, challenging and specific goals for 2013 and that i have embarked on. In all i thank God i had the blessing of being a dad to a baby boy (ten months old now), and i didnt loose any close loved one, even the ones stubbornly in Northern Nigeria. And am really grateful for health and my small family. Undergoing maintenance now, taking stock and getting set for 2013! Thank God!! |
The Nigerian Army has retired dozens of its Generals and tens of Colonels from its ranks, PREMIUM TIMES has learnt. A source told this paper Saturday night that the officers have been directed to proceed on terminal leave preparatory to their final disengagement from service. The retirement came just days after the Nigerian Army Council, headed by President Goodluck Jonathan, approved the promotion of 59 top officers. The Wednesday promotions saw 22 Brigadier Generals promoted to the rank of Major Generals and 37 Colonels to the ranks of Brigadier Generals. The identities of the officers affected by the retirement and the reasons for their sack were not clear Saturday night. The spokesperson for the Army, Brigadier General Bola Koleosho, could not be reached to comment for this story. But the Director of Defence Information, Mohammed Yerima, told PREMIUM TIMES the retirement was part of the routine reorganisation in the military. Mr. Yerima declined to provide further details, saying he was on vacation. http://premiumtimesng.com/news/112332-massive-retirement-of-generals-hits-nigerian-army.html?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=massive-retirement-of-generals-hits-nigerian-army Ok... |
Professor Chinua Achebe’s latest book, “There Was A Country: A Personal History of Biafra”, is among books listed on the IOS Books of the Year, 2012. The book adjudged as one of the best in the biography and memoir category by the international organization, despite generating lots of controversies and debates at home, was described on The Independent (London) as “the book that we’ve been waiting for since 1967, and the start of the Biafran War”. “In an era in which memoirs seem mostly to be written by young celebrities with nothing to say, how refreshing that this year’s best examples are genuinely long-awaited life stories from those who know life, and a story, when they see it. There Was a Country: A Personal History of Biafra by Chinua Achebe (Allen Lane, £20) really is the book that we’ve been waiting for since 1967, and the start of the Biafran War”. Achebe’s book was further noted as, “the first non-fiction account of that period from the author of the novel “Things Fall Apart”, and as such takes a measured, long view of a confusing and ultimately pretty futile conflict”. This long-awaited memoir of Prof Achebe’s experiences of the 1967-1970 Biafran war although is clearly stated, is his personal “account of coming of age during one of the 20th century’s greatest humanitarian disasters”, has received so much criticism in Nigeria. Continuing, the report pointed out that, “Though Achebe is known as the ‘father of modern African literature’, and made his name writing about the history of Nigeria, this is the first time that he has directly addressed in his writing, the civil war which was the defining experience of his own life and his country’s recent history. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/12/achebes-memoir-on-biafran-listed-on-2012-ios-best-books/ Now what are we not saying?? |

@OP its easy for single folks to give you advice. Be careful your answer should come from individuals that have a working marriage that did stand the test of life for years. When you rush off with advice of akata spinsters and randy bachelors as your def of a satisfying marriage, you will live to see what you bought. No offense meant please. Marriage is never what you see outside of it. It the only exam you take before taking lessons, even if you dated for years. But be not afraid it was instituted for your good and good of mankind. |
Jobless jobless jobless. They say unemployment rate high, but they no talk about jobless rate. |
GoodNews. Once our leaders start listening to cries of the people and taking action based on the cries, then look not far for the government is now by the people and for the people. |
Na wa oohh. See argument upon confusion. One truth is that the Catholic church has stayed thousands of years lasted longer than every other christian denomination (close to 2000yrs). And will still last long more. You should all be concerned about making haven not creating suspicious threads/comments. WHY DID THE CATHOLIC CHURCH LAST FOR 2000yrs and still strong?? Only God knows. |
Yes you can encourage them to invest. But first you have to create a value for it, most people dont know what it is and what you can do with it. I am trying to establish that value, and once i have, i will look into importing it in droves. |
@OP you started this thread at exactly 7:18am, and you are still posting by 9:05am. Please what job do you have?? I support your view most regular NL posters have nothing important doing. Even as someone self employed with no direct boss, i find it hard to stay on Nairaland more than 30mins in a day. When ever i post regularly on NL that day is a wasted day. Forget all those rubbish about smart phone, smart computer, even with your smart brain it takes time to post and follow posts on NL. Time that should have been used to achieve important tasks. They say they can post 10 replies in a min, do you post a reply without reading all posts?? And you achieve all that in a min?? |
A middle-aged man suspected to be a car snatcher was in the wee hours of Saturday shot dead at Kubwa by the vehicle owner, who is a police officer. A policeman at the scene said a gang numbering three persons, trailed the jeep owner from a distance and almost succeeded in snatching the vehicle but the owner pulled out a gun and shot one of them. He said the man died on the spot, while the other two escaped. When our reporter visited Kubwa General Hospital, some policemen were seen with the corpse inside their van as they made effort to deposit the corpse at the hospital’s mortuary. http://dailypost.com.ng/2012/12/05/car-owner-shoots-snatcher-dead-abuja/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=car-owner-shoots-snatcher-dead-abuja and if the car owner was not armed/police officer?? |

Unknown to you guys, Nigeria has been developing its own carrier. Its armaments and strengths will amaze the world and africa especially. I know cause i have inside info, this ship is currently in development here in Nigeria. It is the secret modernization answer Nigeria will give to most of threats facing not just Nigeria but sub-sahara Africa. The program was instituted few years ago and has the best elites home and abroad working around the clock on it. In its first tests, the ship was able to land high speed flying |

Reuters, the International News Agency has withdrawn a violence video purported to be taken in Maiduguri last week after discovering that the video was a fake video. Reuters had previously alleged that the video was sent to it by a soldier who witnessed the killings, but when contacted, the Nigerian Army spokesman, Colonel Mohammed Yerima, had denied the video claiming it was a set up by Boko Haram for propaganda purposes. He had said when contacted about the video that "How can they do that? It is not possible. This is the Boko Haram tactics," he said. "They will do the killing, say it's the military and then Amnesty International and so on will blame us. It's not possible for Nigerian troops to act in this way." But after investigating the story and finding it to be false, Reuters released the following statement below; (Reuters) - Please be advised that the Nigeria story issued on November 18, 2012, reporting that a video showed Nigerian troops shooting unarmed captives, is withdrawn. The story is withdrawn because questions have been raised about the date and location of the video. The following story has been withdrawn: http://news.yahoo.com/nigeria-violence-story-withdrawn-012117207.html When will they tender apology to JTF? The link on their website gives you a dead end, it should not be a dead end rather an apology to JTF! |
I lock my two phones always. My wife also knows the unlock code. and anytime the code is compromised, i tell her after changing it. I lock it against outsiders and "friends". And in case the phone gets missing, who ever finds it wont access sensitive info. |
