Peaceful2016:
Thank you.
I didn't go through SINP but I was planning to before scores started dropping in 2017. I also know a couple of people that got SINP nomination
Your degree has to be related to your NOC.
For example, You can't use a microbiology bsc alone to get nomination for a finance related NOC... You may scale through if u have another degree (masters, ond, pgd) or certification (ACCA, ican, etc) that's finance related
Thank you.

True...you have said it all!

A bsc microbiology with work experience in finance may have to show ACCA/ICAN, MBA in addition. He can't use B.sc microbiology alone in relation to a job description in finance.

God bless you, it is ending in praise IJN!

Thank you GS but I'm talking about linking my express entry profile (not a Post-ITA submitted application) to a newly created GCKey username and password..

Do you think the the above procedure that you suggested will work for my EE profile scenario.

It will surely end in praise IJN!

HELP! HELP!! HELP!!!

VERY PECULIAR SITUATION

I'll go straight to the issue: (May not be the most appropriate forum but I'm a little desperate to seek your collective experience to sort this nutty issue out, Pls bear with me)

MY EXPRESS ENTRY PROFILE:

1. I wanted to log on to my Express entry profile using my GCKey (i used firefox browser) some days ago and it told me error with either the Username or Password.

2. I was rooster sure about my username & password and so in a bid to surmount this problem, I used "forgot password" option to change my password for a new one and that directed me to the "security questions"...I filled the answers and the system said I didn't get all questions correctly.

3. I tried answering the security questions a couple of times and the system locked me out (said for my profile safety)

4. I called GCKEY customer care in Canada and after going through the issue with the customer service agent, he gave me the option of either creating another GCKEY credentials and getting my EE profile linked to the new GCKEY or emailing CIC for solution.

5. I created another GCKEY credentials and I need help to link my EE profile to the new GCKEY

6. I emailed CIC (using the email address given to me by the customer service agent over the phone) and I was replied with a standard template that I should reach out to them with a web form on their website (i guess this means raising CSE, not sure though)...

7. Kindly help me navigate this issue as I have a new GCKEY now and I cant still use it to open my EE profile. How do I use a WEB FORM to reach CIC so that they can help me to link my EE profile to the new GCKEY credentials.

Thanks in advance.

It's definitely ending in praise IJN! I'm definitely overcoming!

(I don't know why this is happening now. I'm expecting my SINP nomination any time from now. How do I accept my nomination if I cant assess my EE profile? Satan you a liar o!)

Congrats on your PPR. Such a sweet news to start the year.

BTW, I have been searching around for you for a while, it obvious you re not always around here.

I read one of your posts...maybe on the PART 2 of EE thread where you mentioned that SINP does not accept degree not matching ones work experience unlike FSWP

How true is this? Please can you shed a little light on this as I guess you re a SINP PNP.

Thank you as it I know that it has already started ending in praise!

Newmum0615:
It says at least 250 words. You get penalised for writing below not above. But try to keep it past 250 and not much more than 350. Believe me,except you just want to start writing off-point, I believe you should practice to stay within the 300 limit. Time may not even allow you to write plenty stories. The important thing is to make sense and ensure you answer the question,
provide examples and use a range of vocabulary and grammar to ensure you get good marks in each criteria. Your introduction, body and conclusion must be on point.
XX01:
From the tips I read, if it is too much over 250 words, they stop grading at around that and don't read the rest. It's a waste and you might lose marks. Anything significantly less than 250 words such as 200 and below, you will definitely lose marks
mcstan18:
You get penalized for writing below 250 words but not above. However, in your best interest do not try to impress by being too detailed. You'd expose yourself to unnecessary errors which would attract marks deduction too. To be safe, write no more than 350 words
Wow...just look at me...I want to believe that's why I landed a "7" in writing last year (my least score in the 4 category in my first attempt ever) all because I read somewhere whilst preparing for the test, that 250 words should be achieved with a little of 30 words more on the average. I entered for the test and did exactly that...I even had time to count and erase the last paragraphs to re-write it because of word count already entering 300 words for the letter of 150-words.

Information is power...only to come out of the test and friends started saying that that wrote 350 words for a letter of 150-words...of course, most had 7.5, 8 points. I was arguing that I read somewhere bla bla...

Thank you good friends for confirming the correct position now.

Hi everyone, i am not sure if this is the right thread, but i will try, i welcome all the new comers to canada, it is indeed a splendid place. I came to Canada in 2013 and recently bagged my canadian passport, i am a commercial pilot flying private planes based out of ottawa. I am writing this post as i intend returning to Nigeria, I will call it an invitation to swap lives if it makes sense..lol, i see a lot of people are moving to ottawa. I am looking for an opportunity for a house, car and furniture exchange. I am looking for a place in ikeja to be close to the airport. I stay in a modern 2 bedroom apartment with utilities etc. I am a bachelor and happy to go home so please do not try to convince me otherwise.my aim is to hit the ground running like i never left, any help is appreciated.
grin grin grin

This Mr. Pilot is a funny somborri...seriously grin

maternal:
Go and sit down. You have a Canadian passport. You can leave naija anytime you want. Renounce that Canadian passport, buy a 1 way ticket, and return back to naija. If not lets hear.
...and this Mr. Maternal got no chill at all...so very Nigerian (why I love confirm naija people cos there's no "photocopy" of our type anywhere in the world) grin grin

So people that was how I started the year/week as a floor staff but ended the week as a first-line manager. The purpose of my sharing this story is not to in any way pride in my efforts because I owe everything I am to God but to encourage someone/anyone who can dare to believe in the impossible. Yes miracles still do happen. It's not by he that runneth but on the Lord that showeth mercy. Be courageous my fellow naija Canadians. Go out there and claim what's yours!

Peace
WAWAWAWUUUUU!!!!

Congrats @freeradical

You need to see me jumping here (as if I'm the one that got the manager promotion)...Im so tapping into this testimony for my future in Canada.

As I have always declared, I'm saying it again "My case is different", where others are declaring a casting down, I'm declaring a lifting up! You don't get it- It is written that it is ending in praises for me ni this 2018 (Pardon my talibanism/alutaism, cheesy cheesy this is what what this 2018 requires...claim and enter into the manifestation realm of your blessings by declaring and doing)

I had sensed it since that your initial post in December 2017 that God is unto something great for you.

Whatever you re doing that is calling the hosts of heavens to gather and be delivering off-shore blessings to you like this...don't stop ooo! (Read Psalm 2:8, that's the trajectory of your testimony ultimately, watch out for God's acts in your life!)

So happy for you and your family.

It shall continually end in praise IJN!

This is so refreshing to read after so many discouraging reports online!!

@newmum0615 and others in the know

I'm curious about "ielts writing" and I had thought to ask for a while now.

If they test says 250 words, am I to write 250 words and maybe a little spill over of say another 30 words extra OR I can write as much as I want insofar it is not below 250 words?

Is there a penalty for writing waaay above 250 words...say, like 500 words?

Thank you.

Chai!!! Why didn't I meet you before we left!? Still going to buy one here. My triplets need one. It's a lot easier to get one now than in Naija
Ehyah, no issue though, I'm sure getting a triple buggie won't be a problem in Canada. I'm sure it will be of great support to @moyinoluwa1.
Enjoy the new life in your new home and go & prosper!

It's a definite praise all the way IJN

Hi TEECANN.

I just sent you a PM. I need the stroller. Thanks
Congrats on your CoPR, I have replied you.

Just to let you know, its still pretty new, used it only for 2 weeks during vacation and it comes with a transparent nylon rain/winter shield that can be worn onto the stroller to prevent the pretties from the elements.(I hope to find the stroller shield in the house, my wife said she sighted it sometime ago somewhere in the house, I'll find it especially because of the triplet grin) You will love it altogether!

Thanks. We used a twin stroller and managed with that. It was extremely difficult to buy a triplet stroller. But you still have time. Quickly order for one through amazon and get it sent to you from any relative or shipper in the US or Canada . In 2 or 3 weeks, you will have it.
I have a foldable triple stroller- "Mercury by Obaby"
The life of tourist parents....lolz...we were vacationing in London with our twins and their younger sister and we had left Lagos with a twin buggie but on getting to London, my wife shared work and I was detailed to use baby carrier to carry my last baby which took a toll on my back, it wasnt funny with that London waka! grin..

I hit the net and got the triple foldable obaby with a seller in Surrey, I told her I'd come down to pick it and she was like all the way from London, I told her she can't understand grin. I hit the train station and got the stuff.

It was a life saver during those vacation weeks. We came back to Lagos with the twin and triple buggies and I have not had use for them since. I won't prolly need it for any next trip (which will most likely be our Canny landing journey cheesy) as my last baby's grown enough to walk by herself now. grin Someone else have picked the twin stroller while I still have the triple one here and I had wanted to dispose it for sometime now but nobody was interested in buying it off me...Triple buggie users are rare.

If you need it, let's talk.

SINPhuh Nahhhhh. I'll rather wait for Ontario PNP or wait for CRS cutoff to come down. My resumption is Fall 2018 and that is 8 months from today, it's still a long time to get ITA and PR. I'll prefer to defer the admission to Jan 2019 if PR doesn't come before then.

From the little research I've done, structural engineers are in high demand in North America.
@canadianenginee,

Why not SINP...any scoop?

We used Ethiopia airline, Flight was scheduled for 1.10pm out of naija. We left the house at 8.30am and got there in good time, we had 11 check in bags (paid for 1 extra bag), 5 hand luggages, 2 laptop bags and 3 children trolley bags, hehehe, me sef tire for the load(family of 5).

All our bags were 30kg except 1 which was 20kg cos customs removed my palm oil (nonsense) my palm kernel and coconut oil made it thru, (maybe cos they were in smaller bottles)

Flight was on time, children were excited to be moving to a country with snow and made out plans of how they would play in d snow (too much cartoon) lol. Inflight entertainment was ok, food (rice) was saltless but we chop am like that, before hunger go kill purzon above sea level.

.................-------

We arrived the day snow decided to start falling again. As at today it’s -29

We got home to already cooked food, yippie!!!

All in all the journey was ok, the children behaved themselves especially my 2 year old that I was really concerned about.

This is the end of my story, thank you
@our own MummyJaygirls,

Congratulations on your landing. Nice and smooth landing there for you and family.

God saw to it to end in praise.

Go flourish and blossom in your new home that will appreciate your skills and treat your girls with respect and give them opportunities to be the best God desires them to be!

I have no doubt that you and family will shine the light and maybe one day, one of your girls will be back to be the Finance Minister.(AMEN)
