CrimePoliceman Beaten And Harrassed By Thugs In Ondo State by teegrams(op): 10:06pm On Apr 12, 2016
Seeing an officer in uniform trying to stop a moving bike with two passenger by force would normally arouse the attention of an average Nigerian.

I was facing a little issue with my car ,waiting patiently for the mechanic when the sight of a police man trying to drag a moving bike with two passengers caught my attention.

Barely did I remember my problems when I decided to see what happened.

This unlawful incident happened today at about 1pm in Ayede Ogbesse area Ondo state. This community as facts have it, is known for barbarism, cultivation of cannabis and rude timber dealers.

Back to the incident, I got closer to see what was actually happening, I realized a huge chaos was about to take place. My wife ran back for safety . I looked ahead only to see this hoodlums trying to get rid of the policeman by grabbing his gun ,but the policeman in his frantic effort wouldn't submit to their will. It was a great tussle, the policemen on his team fired shots in the air,but this hoodlums weren't scared.I scampered for safety ,as the struggle continued more people nearby gathered and settled the conflict.I moved closer at that time to get more picture of the story only to see the officer soaked in blood as he was injured, other officers who were on his patrol had joined to separate the fight at that point but the officers cloth were torn and he was bleeding.
From my own perspective this animalous behavior displayed by this hoodlum simply shows they have no regards for the law and that they were really lawless. To buttress my point, the head of the team came to the scene only for him to call the chief who this hoodlums answers to ,to come take a look at what his boys had done to his officer.Nigeria!now this is corruption !

My opinion: The hoodlums gallantly displayed such animalous behavior because they have a godfather they answer to who also has the policemen on his payroll.
It wasn't a surprise when those gathered around blamed the bleeding officer while his team leader asked him to go get medical help
Which way Nigeria which way.

I'm posting only the first 24 amazing Hotels as i would like to visit all in my life time bet you would too lol.
A GOOD HOTEL CAN MAKE or break a trip. The worst hotel in the best place is still going to make retiring after a long day an unfortunate experience. The best hotel in the worst place, on the other hand, can be something of an oasis. Take the best hotels and put them in the best places, and you’ve got a private slice of the vacation you’ve always dreamed of.

Here are 24 absolutely epic dream hotels.
1. Ladera Resort, St. Lucia

Possibly the singular spot for your perfect Caribbean excursion, the Ladera Resort represents the intersection between design, luxury, and the ideal location. Amenities include a full spa, a host of excursion experiences, and the ability to swing straight from a bench into the pool. Equally sick Jade Mountain Resort.

2. Manta Resort, Tanzania

Ever wanted to be able to go down the stairs of your resort room, hoist the blinds, and be stared down by schools of fish? Can you get over the fact that in doing so, you’ll be painfully aware that your accommodations are anchored offshore? If you answered yes to both of those questions (as I have), then the photos of the Manta Resort have probably inspired you to add Tanzania’s Pemba Island to the bucket list.

3. Äscher Cliff, Switzerland

More of an inn and restaurant than a luxury resort, this getaway built right into an Ebenalp cliff is the best spot to take a breather on your trek up the northern Alps. The views here will keep you charged as you continue your trip through the Swiss mountains.

4. Giraffe Manor, Kenya

These images are not photoshopped. At Giraffe Manor, located in a suburb of Nairobi, giraffes belonging to the resident breeding and conservation program will join you for breakfast.

5. Hotel Kakslauttanen, Finland

If you’ve never heard of this place, you’ve probably spent an enviably small amount of time on the internet. With its infamous glass igloos and log cabins, the Hotel Kakslauttanen offers an exclusive inside-while-outside winter experience. You know, so you can be immersed in the beauty of frozen forests and incredible winter auroras while simultaneously safe and comfortable inside your own private bubble of warmth.

6. Ubud Hanging Gardens, Bali

One part boutique hotel, one part epic infinity pool over the Ayung gorge, one part Payangan jungle, and one part architectural masterpiece combine to make one smooth cocktail of a resort. While the Ubud is known for its terraced tree villas, it’s really all about the award-winning pool. (Literally, this pool has won awards.)

7. Icehotel, Jukkasjärvi, Sweden

At the absolute top of my bucket list, the Icehotel is like living in an art installation. A very cold art installation. Though the ice accommodations are available for only one season a year (for what I hope are obvious reasons), the hotel also offers “warm accommodations” and a host of summer activities, including “art experiences with ice, and adventures in the surrounding wilderness under the midnight sun.”

8. Cocoa Island Resort, Maldives

Just a 40-minute speedboat ride from the archipelago’s main airport, Cocoa Island floats as a cluster of 33 over-water suites (straight out from those sweeping white sand beaches you’ve seen in every tropical island fantasy you’ve ever had). With two private diving reefs to explore, who’s got time for spa treatments?

9. Loisaba Star Beds, Kenya

Two sets of outdoor “star beds” can be found in the Kenyan wilderness — the “Kikobo” beds overlook the waterhole from which they take their name, and the “Koija” beds sit on stilts over the Ewaso N’giro river. Each “star bed” is partially sheltered and contains a “Mukokoteni” (a specialty handcrafted bed on wheels, for moving into and out of the shelter). Kenya is known for its wildlife, so you’re bound to see some amazing creatures in this outdoor getaway.

CrimeWoman Steals Wedding Ring From Corpse by teegrams(op): 8:23am On Apr 12, 2016
CCTV footage has emerged of a woman stealing a wedding ring from the finger of a female corpse at a funeral home in Texas.

The dead woman, 88-year-old Lois Hicks, was lying in an open casket at Sunset Funeral Home in Odessa.

Her daughter, Vel McKee, told Odessa American online that some of the skin on her mother’s finger had been torn off during the theft.

“I can’t believe someone would be that low,” Ms McKee said.

“It makes me sick to my stomach.

“Horrible. I hope they catch her.”

Ms Hicks’ granddaughter, Brandi Carrasco, told News West 9: "To go in and do that to someone is deplorable.

"We want our family jewellery back.

"My grandmother's finger was red," she added.

The funeral home’s general manager, Bill Vallie, said video showed the thief parking her four-door Saturn car, getting out and entering the building.

The vehicle’s licence plate can be seen in the video.

Ms Hicks’ loved ones had left shortly before, at around 5:30pm.

The woman asked where the toilets were but entered the room containing Ms Hicks’ coffin instead.

“You can’t restrict anyone,” Mr Vallie said.

While he admitted that taking jewellery from the dead at funeral homes is nothing new, he was shocked at how brazen it was.

“This is the first time this has happened,” he said.

Mr Vallie said the family intended to press charges.

The Odessa Police Department is investigating.

CrimeMan Grooms 13-year-old Girl On Snapchat, Had Sex With Her Six Times by teegrams(op): 7:59am On Apr 12, 2016
A ‘manipulative’ pervert has been jailed after grooming a 13-year-old girl on Snapchat for months before having sex with her six times.

Christopher Lowde, 21, of Driffield, East Yorkshire, left the girl fearing she was pregnant after they had sex in the front passenger seat of his car after meeting in a nightclub.

After the pregnancy scare had passed several weeks later, they also had sex on an industrial estate and at his parents’ house - leaving the girl feeling ‘violated’, Hull Crown Court was told.

Lowde pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child and was jailed for 21 months.

He was first contacted by the girl in late 2013, but arranged to meet her in a nightclub in spring 2014 - and at the end of the evening, she agreed to have sex with him after he asked.

Lowde drove the girl to the coastal village of Fraisthorpe and then had sex with her in his car.

David Gordon, prosecuting, said: ‘The defendant took her home. She was concerned about being pregnant. No protection had been used.

‘The defendant took fright and stopped contacting her for about three weeks until the pregnancy scare had gone.’

Lowde contacted the girl again through Snapchat and agreed to meet him again. He drove her to an industrial estate near Bridlington and had sex with her again in his car.

The girl told police she had sex with Lowde six times in total, including at Lowde’s parents’ home. Mr Gordon said: ‘Looking back, she feels violated and realises he was just using her for sex.’

In mid-2014 the girl confided in a child protection officer at her school and Lowde was arrested.

Nigeria is blessed with exceptionally talented and brilliant individuals who continue to blaze the trail in various aspects of life and 17-year-old Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna, just made her debut on the list of trail blazers. The Daily Mail reports that the high school senior and valedictorian with a 101.64 weighted Grade-Point Average didn’t just get into one Ivy League university. She has been accepted into all eight.

Hard worker

Augusta credits her success to hard work, persistence, her parents who taught her the importance of education and her teachers. Her research adviser, Michelle Flannory, says the teenager is a natural talent, but she also acknowledges the fact that Augusta puts in a lot of work and strives for excellence. “She knows that you have to work … she definitely pursues excellence.”

Although she’s celebrated today, she does admit that the journey to her accomplishment was not a walk in the park, “I’ve struggled with numerous classes in the past,” she said. “But I guess what allowed me to be successful, ultimately, in those classes, at the end, is my persistence and my tenacity.”

Science whiz

Augusta loves science and plans to pursue it in college. She has received numerous awards in New York science and engineering competitions. Recently, she was declared a finalist in an Intel competition for her research project on cement that could prevent underwater oil rigs from rupturing. Augusta says the research project taught her the importance of sustainable development, hence she would like to combine her bio-chemistry work with environmental policy.

She dabbles

“I get my hands in everything and that explains why I tend to stay late in school. But it definitely paid off because I learned that I’m interested in so many things.” Augusta is president of two extracurricular clubs and a member of several honour societies.

Invitation to the White House

On Monday April 4, Augusta received an invitation to attend the White House Science Fair, an event where young scientists and engineers from across America are hosted by the president to showcase their inventions, experiments and discoveries.

Tough decision

Augusta has three weeks to decide which one of the prestigious universities she’ll attend, including New York University, Johns Hopkins University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). But the young lady says she’s “still quite unsure” which school to choose. “… I know attending any of them will be such a great honour,” said Augusta who is still very excited about the news.

Impact her fatherland

The 17-year-old says her numerous visits to Nigeria has helped her realise that there aren’t as many opportunities, so she definitely wants to make sure that all her actions and decisions reflect well on her homeland. Thankfully, she’s already doing that.

Two years in a row

Last year, Nigerian teenager, Harold Ekeh, also got accepted into 13 American universities. Ekeh, who chose Yale among 8 Ivy League universities, was also a student of Elmont Memorial High School.

Caron Cox, the chairwoman of pupil personnel services at the school says that though the school has been under the radar, “… there are some really great things happening here at Elmont Memorial High School.”

teegrams:
Marijuana (cannabis) is an illegal drug formed from the dried leaves and flowers of a plant called Cannabis sativa. The effects of this drug are produced by the active chemical found in marijuana--THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol). The use of medical marijuana is focused on applying the beneficial effects of this drug to a patient in an effort to improve the patient's overall quality of life. The beneficial use of medical marijuana continues to be highly contested--as of 2010, only the District of Columbia and 14 states have enacted laws to protect the rights of a patient to use medical marijuana.

Pain Relief
One of the major benefits associated with medicinal marijuana use is the relief of chronic or neuropathic pain. A study published in February 2009 in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology examined the effect of medical marijuana treatment in HIV patients who experience neuropathic pain. In this study, Dr. Ellis and colleagues found that 46 percent of patients administered medical marijuana experienced at least a 30 percent reduction in pain. In contrast, only 18 percent of patients administered placebo achieved similar results.

Increased Appetite
Use of marijuana stimulates the body's metabolism and causes users to experience an increase in appetite. Numerous disease states--including cancer and HIV--can cause symptoms of decreased appetite to develop in affected patients. If this occurs, patients often lose significant amounts of weight, which can be detrimental to the disease recovery process. The human body requires energy--in the form of ingested food--to fight infection and heal cell or tissue damage. In patients who experience decreased appetite due to a specific disease, medical marijuana may be helpful in appetite stimulation. Medicinal marijuana can signal a food craving within a patient's body, encouraging the patient to eat to provide energy to the body.

Decreased Nausea
Many patients experience nausea or vomiting due to certain diseases or treatments, such as chemotherapy. The National Cancer Institute reports that THC--the active ingredient in marijuana--may decrease symptoms of nausea or vomiting in certain cancer patients. Controlling such symptoms in diseased patients can improve a patient's quality of life and may make certain patients more receptive to disease treatment.

Muscle Relaxation
Inhalation of marijuana smoke relaxes the muscles within the body. Patients who experience frequent muscle tightness or twitching (spasticity) often have difficulty completing normal tasks associated with daily activities. Such patients may benefit from the use of medical marijuana, as this drug can help reduce symptoms of muscle tension or muscular aches or pains. This form of treatment may increase a patient's ability to move normally and can promote a more positive quality of life.

Foreign Affairs10 Interestin Things You Didn't Know About Teh Queen Of England by teegrams(op): 9:54am On Apr 02, 2016
Here are ten things you didn't know Her Majesty the Queen, according to Craig Brown.

1. As part of the Palace’s latest modernization drive, the Queen takes tea with Ant and Dec on every second Tuesday in the month.

Over tea and a choice of sandwiches, the chirpy TV hosts inform her of all the latest developments in popular culture.

‘At our last meeting, she was intrigued to learn about Kim Kardashian, Little Mix and Game Of Thrones,’ says Dec.

Each session is followed by a brief tick-in-the-box test, in which she is allowed to turn to her Private Secretary for assistance.

‘Her Majesty passed her last questionnaire with flying colors,’ chips in Ant. ‘She thought Kim Kardashian’s husband was Ken Barlow, but that’s a mistake anyone could make.’

2. A special committee has been convened with the special task of working out what to do about Her Majesty’s 100th birthday in ten years’ time.

‘The key problem is the telegram,’ explains Assistant Deputy Private Secretary Sir Edward Munke-Ffish, ‘Does she send one to herself? Or, as a nod to austerity, would she be better advised to save money by performing the necessary greetings to the mirror?’

3. Her Majesty has annual subscriptions to a number of periodicals, among them Horse & Hound, The Field, Country Life and Kerrang!, the leading magazine for adherents of heavy metal music.

‘She prefers it to Destruct, which she finds a little too specialist,’ explains the Queen’s Master of Musick, Sir Henry Wistleton.

4. Every St Swithin’s Day, the Queen performs the ancient ritual of ‘Washing Down the Elders’. This involves pointing a high-velocity water hose at the irate senior citizens of the small county town of Umbrage while they, in turn, shake their fists in her direction.

5. Over the course of her lengthy reign, HM the Queen has sat for upwards of 50 official portraits by artists including Lucian Freud, Sir Graham Sutherland and Rolf Harris.

Some of these sittings went better than others. Sitting for American artist Jackson Pollock in 1955, she emerged splattered with streaks of vermillion, black and buttercup yellow.

Portrait-related injuries include a sore back after Francis Bacon got her to pose for five hours on a butcher’s slab with her right knee touching her left ear. After posing for Lucian Freud in 1992, she had to endure minor surgery for the removal of stray cactus pins.

The Queen has probably shaken more hands than anyone else in history. She averages 50 a day, rising to 220 a day on her official trips abroad.

‘Over the years, she has developed one of the most consummately skilled grips I’ve ever encountered,’ observes leading sports commentator Barry Wiseman. ‘She could have made a good living as a professional arm wrestler, but sadly she could never spare the time.’

7. It is a common misconception, particularly among the young, that the Queen was named after the late Freddie Mercury’s rock group, rather than the other way round.

8. When the Queen’s youngest son, the present Earl of Wessex, was organising his 1987 TV extravaganza, It’s A Royal Knock-out, he attempted to persuade his mother to compete, dressed up as a banana sundae.

When she refused on grounds of taste, Prince Edward, as he then was, flounced out of her study, barking: ‘I suppose you think you’re better than us!’

In the event, the Queen’s role was taken by the legendary Roger Tonge, famous as Sandy Richardson on TV’s Crossroads.

9. The only panel game on which HM the Queen has ever appeared is What’s My Line?, hosted by Eamonn Andrews in 1958.

The panel, consisting of Kenneth Williams, Eamonn Andrews, Coco the Clown and Professor A. J. Ayer, failed to guess Her Majesty’s profession within their allotted number of questions.

Williams came very close when he asked: ‘Are you happy and/or glorious?’ Nevertheless, the Queen’s frank reply — ‘Oh, very much so’ — failed to point them in the right direction.

Consequently, she left the show with a signed certificate declaring her the winner.

10. The Queen likes to keep up with technological innovations. Since 2005, the Royal Carriage has been fitted with a PlayStation, adapted for one hand, leaving her free to wave with the other.

Her Majesty has maintained a Twitter account since 2009. She last used it on February 23, to tweet her royal approval of the latest video by Mel C, who has long been her favourite Spice Girl.
