megadeath: Hehehe. Lies!! Those planes and that tarmac are in NAF base kaduna. No silly nairalander built them. They're being used to teach airforce personnel drone technology.

WTF
What if the NAF engineer who oversees the design, construction and deployment of this technology is a member of Nairaland ?
You think everyone on Nairaland is a teenager ?

Adm. Yamamoto:
LWKMD! This is another reason why you have to pity ibos for the type of people they are! Odumegwi given a major responsibility saw it as another chance for empty boasting and chest-beating, being very disrespectful of all the citizens of the country whose resources pay him to be in that position! Azikiwe in the same manner ruined NCNC's only chance to ever win in the Western Region in those days by propagandizing a lie after taking downing a couple of bottles of big stout on how the ibos are the special jews of the world and would win in the West! Sad but they just never learn. It is funny when ibos abuse Yorubas and Hausas, both who outnumber them by population, by centuries of war and military conquests, forming empires and kingdoms, and doing it again and again until the Yorubas for example, realized after maybe 1000 years of war and killings, it was not worth it. These days, you can maybe shoot someone at a distance and never get close and dig in, back then they actually saw the eyes and heads of their enemies come off and soaked in their bloods! Oh, imagine the horror - war is not good! These attitudes and measured response to provocation have been passed down to the Yorubas, but the ibos think that is cowardice when funnily they lost their only war barely 40 years ago to armies mostly commanded by Yoruba Generals, with top strategists thousands of KMs away from the field of battle. I hope Odumegi leanrs his lessons!

collynzo2: The truth is indeed bitter. Why has Mbu not been sacked? Is the Commissioner of police not a sensible position? What about Nyesom Wike who is supposed to be looking for a lasting solution to ASUU strike? He's busy making hate speeches allover Rivers state. Festus said the truth and he was sacked for it.
As for Kano state governor, I wonder how working in the brewing industry automatically makes one an alcoholic.

That Rabiu guy is a big phool . Nig. breweries is a multibillion dollar organization. And being the MD/CEO was no small feat.

I am more fascinated by the wormhole in the second pix. Theoretical physics indicates that wormholes can make time travel possible due to their ability to interfere with light travel. Presumably , any thing that travel fasters that light can go faster than time.

Tosin7: i do not buy the idea of lasg harrassing ibos here and there. the last time it was imposition of a ruler on them and now it is intimidation and harrasment. this is way too bad. am doing my internship at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) nnewi, there are good number of yorubas working either as nurse, cleaner, messenger etc. And I learnt that most of the people at aspmda are nnewi people from Anambra. I don't know what will happen to me if this lawlessness by fashola continues. Let peace reign.

Really ? I am from Nnewi.

PDPwayoo: Not only security threat. They r criminals.
A trader in Benue line owe me 1.4m naira. The criminal association called task force promise to help me get the money or stop the man from trading in the premises on 10% of the money going to the association. I agreed and paid the consultation fee.

Immediately the man came and start speaking igbo, the story changed. Because they knew i had flight the following day, they gave him 30 days to bring the money.
I was told to embark on my travel that they will pay the money into my mother's account.

After 30 days, my brother went to the criminals office, they told him they cant do anything unless i come personally to their office.
I would have gone to court or police station b4 i left, but they have me assurance and asked not to report to authorities.

The vice chairman of the task force is a thief and a racist. the chairman is weak and easily manipulated by tribalism.

That's sad. Have you collected your money back ?

Nebeuwa:

And it is the American government that saved the Big Three. Did you even know that?

General Motors, Chrysler and Ford all received a bailout in 2008.

$50 BILLION was given to these companies.

So government support is often needed to help make an industry profitable. And Ford was the first of its kind.

Agreed.
But these motor companies already made it big decades ago without government patronage. Damn. Ford was already selling millions to ordinary citizens by the 1930s. I expected Innoson to have partnered with the banks to bring his vehicle to within reach of the mass market. Other auto companies like Eluzade, Kia , Hyundai all have assets financing arrangements.

That Ssoso guy is an ignoramus . Check his silly profile pix.
Politics / Re: 40 Innoson Vehicles To Be Bought For 2016 Census - FEC by telexfree1: 12:21pm On Aug 16, 2013
ba7man: Its a good move but its too little to pass a strong message to encourage serious patronage.

Innoson should wait for 3 years b4 FG patronize them and purchase 40 vehicles?? Even a lot of companies and banks will do better than that in little time.

Don't mind them . And some stu.pi.d full from the hinterland cannot even comprehend when I posted about how Henry Ford put America on wheels in 1901.
