Gwaine:Did you really know that for sure? |
babs787:Alright. But it would have been interesting to see where you were coming from. ![]() |
@muhsin, I'd very much appreciate an answer from you to my question: Telly B:Thanks. |
Okay, then take a look again at the first map. Carefully, please. #4. If a muslim was standing in Sudan, he/she would be facing Mecca, yes?? Now, what direction would another Muslim face when standing in any of the following places: (a) Harad, Saudi Arabia (b) Doha, Qatar (c) Sana. Would these all be facing EAST?? @nasnas, Apologies, I didn't mean it to sound the way it came across! ![]() |
mukina2:To illustrate that Muslims simply have their geography wrong and mixed up!! Which would mean again that something is terribly wrong with a confused system that this thread is discussing. ![]() And when you study the drawings again, can you please answer the 3 questions that follow? Hugs. |
mukina2:That being the case, please can you take a look at the following maps and then answer the following questions: The geographic location of Mecca in Saudi Arabia https://worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/asia/sanewz.gif Latitudinal and Longitudinal Positions https://www.merriam-webster.com/maps/images/saudiara_loc.gif Map of the World Spread Out: https://img.infoplease.com/images/03IPatlas_worldmap.gif Arrows: Facing EAST ====>> <<==== Facing WEST ------------------------------------------ Now questions: (please see direction of arrows above) #1. If a muslim in North America faces the direction of Mecca, is he or she facing EAST or WEST ![]() #2. If another Muslim in Australia faces the direction of Mecca, is he or she facing WEST or EAST ![]() #3. What about yet another Muslim in South Africa facing the direction of Mecca, is he or she facing NORTH, SOUTH, or EAST ![]() While you're on those, could you please explain for us what we should understand by the following seeming inconsistencies in Muhammad's lifestyle? (please, I said "seeming". . . until you find answers, thank you): Abu-Dawud, Book 1, Number 0010 Narrated Ma'qil ibn AbuMa'qil al-Asadi: The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) has forbidden us to face the two qiblahs at the time of urination or excretion. Abu-Dawud, Book 1, Number 0013 Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: The Prophet of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) forbade us to face the qiblah at the time of making water. (that is, "urinating" - my note) Then I saw him facing it (qiblah) urinating or easing himself one year before his death. What are we to understand from these two records in your holy books?? Thank you. |
@topic, May I ask Muslims who love Jesus Christ: is it true that when Christians refer to Jesus as God, they are worshipping a false god? |
@topic, I am inclined to strongly agree with pilgrim.1 in her stance - more so because Muslims have not been able to soundly counter her argument by making one definitive reference in the QURAN for Muhammad's miracles (if he even performed any at all). The question is as simple as can be; and incase people are missing the context, perhaps it could be restated and simplified further: According to the Islamic belief, the Qur'an is the Book of 'Allah', who has been described in Islam as "the all-wise", "the all-knowing" and "the all-seeing". Therefore, Muslims believe his book (al-Qur'an) is the highest authority in their religion, right? Right. Outside Allah's book is the Hadith, which record the sayings of Allah's slave Muhammad. Muslims often say that he is fallible (prone to errors), as he is merely a man like other men; and therefore his word does not carry the same authority as the book of 'Allah', right? Right. Now, here's the gist. If one were to state the question quite simply with straight forward answers, this is what we're all saying: Did Muhammad ever perform any miracle? Qur'an by Allah: NO! Hadith by fallible Muhammad: YES! So, if the book from the all-knowing, all-wise, all-hearing, all-seeing 'Allah' disavows the claim that Muhammad performed any miracles; are we then to discard or jettison the Qur'an in favour of the Hadith? Is Muhammad's word now more authoritative than that of 'Allah'? The answer should be obvious to any reader. The typical muslim response (more of an excuse) to this question is that, "the Qur'an being the word of Allah records only His word; while the Hadith records Muhammad's sayings." Now, something is really suspect there. That presumption immediately collapses on its face against the fact that the miracles of other prophets were recorded in the Qur'an! A few of these include the miracles of Jesus: Quran 3:49 ". . .'I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah.s leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah.s leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe" Qur'an 5:110 Then will Allah say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.' Now what is wrong or so exotic about Muhammad that his own miracles (if any at all) should escape the notice of the same 'Allah' and have to be recorded in the uninspired Hadith (nevermind Allah's disavowal of those miracles)? It therefore stands to reason that -- If Muhammad performed NO miracles in the Qur'an, then he performed no miracles outside of that book!! To claim otherwise is to put the Qur'an under the Hadith, and thereby make Muhammad the slave more trusted than his 'Allah'. Period. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Examples of the character of 'Allah' from the Qur'an used for this discussion: "all-seeing": Qur'an An-Nisa 4:58 - ". . .Verily how excellent is the teaching which He giveth you! For Allah is He Who heareth and seeth all things." || Qur'an Al-Anfal 8:72 - ". . . And (remember) Allah seeth all that ye do." "all-knowing" and "all-wise": Qur'an An-Nisa 4:11: ". . .These are settled portions ordained by Allah; and Allah is all-knowing, All-wise." || Qur'an An-Nisa 4:170: ". . .to Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth: And Allah is all-knowing, All-wise." "all-hearing" Qur'an Saba 34:50 - 'Say: "If I am astray, I only stray to the loss of my own soul: but if I receive guidance, it is because of the inspiration of my Lord to me: it is He Who hears all things, and is (ever) near."' If the "all-KNOWING" and "all-SEEING" did not know about or see or hear about Muhammad's miracles to record it in the Qur'an, then not even Muhammad himself can dribble us with his Hadith to state otherwise!! Smart one, pilgrim.1 ![]() |
@topic, Following the questions I asked earlier, could Muslims please take a look at the following and then explicate them for us: Qur'an 2:115 And to Allâh belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn yourselves or your faces there is the Face of Allâh (and He is High above, over His Throne). Surely! Allâh is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knowing. [Hilali-Khan] To Allah belong the east and the West: Whithersoever ye turn, there is the presence of Allah. For Allah is all-Pervading, all-Knowing. [YusufAli] That being the case, why then is the east emphasized? Qur'an 2:177 It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, and each and every act of obedience to Allâh, etc.) that you turn your faces towards east and (or) west (in prayers); but Al-Birr is (the quality of) the one who believes in Allâh, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, the Prophets and gives his wealth, . . . [Hilali-Khan] It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces Towards east or West; but it is righteousness- to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, . . . [YusufAli] This said, what is so important then about the east, if it is not righteousness to face that direction when praying? |
@topic, The biological sciences long predated the emergence of Islam and the Qur'an; and any claim by Muslim apologists that such ideas were not little known is deception. It is unfortunate that many people who recycle the articles of Dr. Naik Zakir and his ilk, swallow his claims without carefully checking them out. Not to even mention that every claim he made has been roundly debunked, regardless of the nuances used to cover up the conceit. |
@topic, I don't know Pastor Eskor personally; but may his soul rest in the Lord's peace, and grace to his family. Could anyone share a hint of how he passed into glory? |
@topic, Jesus is the Son of God; born through Mary, whose husband is Joseph. |
@goodguy, I also benefitted from that post; and also some other fine tips from others. Thanks. ![]() |
@topic, What was this thread meant to convey? |
@muslims: Please what or who is a prophet according to Islamic teaching? Thank you. |
nasnas:Can you then tell us how much you know about the Bible? |
Psa. 138:2 - "I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name." babs787:I don't read that they bow down to a black stone, or kiss the black stone like Muhammad and his companions did. babs787:As revealed to them in their Scriptures. babs787:Notice the connection in that verse to the name. This is in allusion to the following: "That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place. And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive." -- 1Kings 8:29-30 |
babs787:Why do Muslims face the East when praying? Grouppoint:What texts in the Qur'an or Hadith exist for this practice? |
@Lumzi, Lumzi:Has he really? "The first person to speak in court always seems right until his opponent begins to question him" -- Prov. 18:17 |
