Thanks in advance It is actually easy to do it yourself. First is to identify the program she wants to do. Check the finances and all, look for a good province and school she wants to school in...then apply for student visa. She might need to write proof of English test or apply for a waiver, or casper test (nursing) etc. Let's know the programs she's looking at, maybe others could be more advice to give. |

drlateef: What tenets of Christianity is he talking about? Blasphemy is punishable by death in bible:
Matthew 12:31-32 ESV / 90
“Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.” Which bible? where is the death in the portion you quoted? "Will not be forgiven", do you have the power to forgive sins? |

I actually read the statement of the Kano State CAN man with disappointment. As a Christian I can boldly say that from his statement, he does not represent me as that is not what Christ would have said.
Instead of pandering and playing to the gallery he should have at least kept quiet let a more courageous person state the position of Christianity in all of that. He without sin should cast the first stone. |

I say it again, Nigeria is filled with the dumbest set of people.
What concerns removal of subsidy with the current situation? that is the least factor. Oil prices are down.
Are your refineries working? Have corruption involved in the landing costs and transportation of petrol been removed?
You are importing petrol using the cost of labour and productivity of another country and foreign exchange when your currency is doing poorly, added to landing and transportation costs. Why won't rthe prices be high?
Your own refineries that should be refining oil at the cost of production of the country and also adding money to the national purse are running at negative to the tune of billions.
It is not to remove subsidy and go to sleep. The refineries was a 2015 campaign promise, 5 years on, has it been delivered?
The FG should urgently sell a 51% stake in all the refineries and utilize the money for the partners to do a full revamp of the refineries and operate it.
I fully support the removal of the fraudulent subsidy. It should probably be returned as it is, the failure of the present government to act early means that Dangote is the only saviour. And it should be in place till he starts operations and then taken out completely. Action should be taken to get private operation of the refineries immediately.

Crime › Re: Yahaya Sharif-Aminu Appeals Death Sentence Judgment For Blasphemy by tempest01(m): 3:27pm On Sep 03, 2020 |
Empiree: I don't want to talk about religion in this thread but you can have these verses.
Leviticus 24:16
"anyone who blasphemes the name of the Lord is to be put to death. The entire assembly must stone them. Whether foreigner or native-born, when they blaspheme the Name they are to be put to death."
Luke 12:10
And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
Matthew 12:31-32
Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
Mark 3:29
But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— Go back and read my reply to you again |
Crime › Re: Yahaya Sharif-Aminu Appeals Death Sentence Judgment For Blasphemy by tempest01(m): 3:13pm On Sep 03, 2020 |
Empiree: You are not making sense. Your Bible approved of blasphemy law. Kano blasphemy law is biblical not Islamic. So stop this crap.
This is the right thing the guy's lawyer is doing by appealing his case not all the stupid noise and irrational criticisms of the law which don't help him.
I have maintained my position that I support the law. Law is law. And whatever the judgement is is subject to appeal which is exactly what the guy is doing. But bunch of you educated illiterates on NL platform don't understand anything about law.
Many of you criticized the law saying the guy has right to free speech. But do you realize in many countries in developed world you can get in trouble for your utterances?. A guy was sentenced to 10 years in prison in New York for simply saying things to autistic patient.
So everyone must over the law. Law is law and stop bull crap criticisms. The right thing to do is legal process which he's doing. Those of you that have been making noise about the judgement how did you help the guy?. Which bible approved of blasphemy law? This is the reason why texts read and copied without understanding is wrong. The old Testament of the Bible which is gotten from Jewish texts and (quite similar to the Islamic texts) talks about blasphemy as with the other texts mentioned. We are Christians and followers of Christ. We are not bound by those texts, we use them for context. It was the build up to our religion which Christ came to show us. In Christ's words, He without sin should cast the first stone. When Jesus spoke about blasphemy against the holy spirit, he didn't even tell his followers to act on his behalf.

E pepper am die, it should be obvious that these has been ethnic clashes between three belligerent ethnicities but you too pained that El Rufai once gain has managed a very deadly conflict in which each refuses to accept their neighbours. Sadly media terrorists onlook as Jukun and TIVs were at each others throat, they onlook as communities in Cross Rivers have been slaughtering each other, they onlook as cultists war which even claimed the lives of church goers guess all these people live don't matter because their cherished Hausas and Fulanis are not involved. We know they hateful ones Ethnic clashes is when a settled village is fighting with another village for land, resources etc. When a set of marauding wanderers attack people at night and wipe out settlements to take over land and resources, then it's a genocide. We have seen the "peace brokering" before. It is always the game play. That you are even comparing this systemic killings to other dispicable clashes shows the kind of person you are. Are you against disarming terrorists? And bringing murderers to book? |
Politics › Re: Fulani, Hausa, Atyap Agree To Peace Deal In Southern Kaduna by tempest01(m): 6:08am On Aug 23, 2020 |
There is no peace and reconciliation in view if terrorists and killers are not disarmed, arrested and prosecuted. It is just postponing dooms day.
I wonder why a group is made to be above the law and commit capital crime at will, while the law is enforced adequately for others.
This is normal practice. Go on a killing spree with inaction from the authorities till there is external pressure, the authorities come in claiming to broker peace. No one is arrested, no one is disarmed, no one is prosecuted. And then the blooded killers are reserved till the next round of ethnic cleansing. Then repeat. |

Or are u saying, that they will simply come kill people take over the land then wait for security forces to come meet them there? villages have been overun and the inhabitants have moved deeper into uninhabited areas because of the killings. The villages are then overtaken, remnamed and populated. It has happened, it's happening. |

Can u name the places they took over in those mentioned states? I served in Nasarawa and had to run away from my village a few times. I've seen first hand the atrocities committed by these people. Keep feigning ignorance. When these people are given a free hand to amass weapons and kill others, won't they go back home? Don't they have ties back north? What do you think will happen when there is no much wealth back home and they are used to killings and have all the arms? |

Arrewa: Hypocrisy of Southerners!
When the excessive killings of zamfara was still on; you didn't call it jihad or genocide against the indigenous muslim communities. But since it has now turned to the Christain communities of kaduna State. You're now sugar-coating your pen to suite your narratives that portrays the southern kaduna killings as a planned genocide been sponsored by Muslim elites.
Factually, nobody is happy with the dialy killings that's happening with kaduna south citizens. But how do you expect me to support you when your long article paints me as the sponsor of the menace? Or are you intentionally calling it a genocide against Christainity to get the Muslims angry and use the bashing comments they'd rain on you to affirm your assertion?
When terrorists attack a Muslim dominant community; Most of the victims would surely be muslims. Like wise, if they attack a Christain dominant population; Majority of the victims would be Christains. The war is neither muslims against Christains nor Christains against Muslims. But a war between humans and cannibals.
I guess you're calling this a genocide of cleansing Christains due to the fact that a Muslim is ruling the the country. But did you call the 2010 to 2015 killings of Borno aboriginal Muslims a genocide to cleanse Islam? How about sokoto and katsina State menace? Is it a genocide against Christains also?
Insecurity has forsaken our country. But instead of us to raise our collective voices to condemn it and call the attention of the the government to curtail it; we are busy throwing shades at each other and playing the usual blame game. Infact, some Imbeciles are even happy about it since it'd be a means for them to further spread hate and cause havoc within the northern population.
Whether it's a genocide or not. We strongly condemn it and call the attention of the relevant authorities to unveil a fight against it.
My thoughts and prayers are with southern kaduna, kastina and zamfara citizens. I pray this come to an end. I pray that: smile shines out your rues sooner. I pray your land regains it peace and freedom. You are mad and there is no one to tell you. Is it not the same marauding genocidists that are coming home blooded to create trouble? You tacitly supported them in Nassarawa, Benue, and all over the country when they are killing and taking over properties. Calling them bandits and farmer herder crises. When they are blooded and come back home, you expect them to live in peace with you? Why should we then speak for you when you carry ant infested firewood home and the lizards come? |
