what is your problem with what he said? JW are more sincere than Pentecostals. at least they try to answer questions with their brains and they are more honest. they dont join the military (good Christians would never join the military) and they dont meddle in politics. Pentecostals are nothing but liars and posers.

MaxInDHouse knows what my problem with him is. He's fled frm the questions i asked him after several dodgings. He is more interested in recruiting members.

Some christians lost their believe after reading the bible.Some atheists become christians after reading the bible. Now if the former were not REAL christians,is it not wise to say that the later were not REAL ATHEIST?

It was in a dream. Since I didn't know of Eckankar, I thought it was Jesus due to resemblance with images of Jesus we have today.

Back then, I used to have experiences with very bright light that sometimes makes my physical eye unable to accommodate light.

Gopal Das it turned out was actually an old friend from a past life in Egypt where he served as the Mahanta the Living Eck Master of the time.

I related it to my step mum who chided to shut up because she felt maybe I was not 'enough' to meet Jesus or maybe she thought it means I will die.

I kept that experience to myself till when of course I saw the same person in the Eckankar works. I had tried to remeet him, it didn't happen.

the biggest challenge with drms is their interpretations. It can be interpreted in many ways,so many ways.

could this be the temple of golden wisdom i've been hearing of? But eckist don't use the christian bible,so how comes all this mixture? There must be something special in there,so i had to go in. As i trod the muddy lane,i had the feeling of someone who've discovered a new thing. I got to a 3 storey building beside the dirty road & asked a man in front of the building abt the owner of the temple,he directed me to the 3rd floor. When i got there the door was open. if u agree that specific individuals may want to end their lives,then u knw why antinatalists don't want to impose life on anybody who may come to abhor it. However, i didn't say that you (or anyone else) must become antinatalist. Its a choice an individual has to make,& whoever chooses antinatalism shouldn't be scorned or condemn because (s)he has his/her own good reason for doing so.

There's something that happen in the minds of people who lost their believe in God. Its like the story of a crafty tortoise attending a feast in the sky with his birds friends lending it one feather each to fly & how it came to have a rough shell...u must have believed this as a child! Later u came 2 realize as an adult that these stories aren't real but someone is now trying to let u believe them again.
No matter how hard an atheist try,i dont think he/she can believe in God again! Never!

Pls,if u dont mind, i would love to hear abt how u met Gopal Das (real life or dream?), how did he look like? How exactly did it happen? Did u knw it was Gopal Das when u met him?

When I came out of the bathroom the priest was busy chanting some mantras that i couldn't make out a word. I turned to look at him squarting b4 his alter & he was sweating all over his body. One of their member,known in this forum as MaxInDHouse, has been busy announcing that salvation will come to ur house on September. What salvation is he giving?

The thing is,if people knw u dnt believe in their God u r in trouble.When ur chicken die,its because u dnt go to church; when ur vehicle breaks down,its because u dnt worship God; if u can't pay ur house rent; its because u dnt go to church...& so on. If u don't want 2 have any problem with ur family,community & society at large; & u dnt want to engage in endless argument; & u don't want 2 get a dirty look every Sunday morning; then be a christian. Fake it as much as u can & 4get abt conscience. If people don't want to listen to u when u speak ur truth,then tell them lies & feel no guilt because they love living in falsehood. But if u r rich & earn everyone's respect,then u can declare urself an atheist & have no problem.Then u'll see believers scurying to u 4 financial help without feeling guilty! What a world!

I feel you on the three paragraphs I quoted in bold.

But, on the last one I am not feeling you at all and I strongly disagree on the basis that - we need to respect other people's choices and not project our views or personal beliefs, as being more valid or as the right path for everyone.

You may not like or understand other people's need for children, but respect their right and power of choice, to have them. Even the Creator who gave us free will, respects our power of choice, without imposing or infringing on it. Who are we mere mortals to do otherwise?

Child birth is not an unrighteous act in my opinion and people should have children if they want them, but I think they should do so responsibly and have a reasonable number of children they can take care of, without losing themselves and their souls in the process.

in that case we should respect the choice of the unborn by seeking their consent b4 birthing them
