Some of us don't have generators and don't want the noice and fumes that comes from it either.Living in darkness is our way of life and we have accepted it in this huge behemoth called Nigeria.Let the prices of food commodities be reduced,so we can feed our loved ones. That is the barest minimum request we are seeking for now. |
No parent will be proud to see their child be a serial womaniser or even patronise prostitutes even if they live in your house or not. What respect will you have around your neighbours and tenants, when you lead such lifestyle having prostitutes hanging with you in your neighborhood? |
That amount is very much to have been borrowed by the present administration in this short while.I am certain, they meant Buhari's government.Tinubu inherited a huge loan on high interest.l wonder how and when that loan would be paid.Obasango did well on negotiating on our loans and clearing them off and sadly ,we are back at being indebted as a nation. |
Enough of the daily Naira to Dollar depreciation/appreciation news. Can we simply buy food commodities at affordable rates now ,so we can take care of our loved ones? |
MrBrownJay1:It's quite a difficult task.A feat worth trumpeting.A salute to those who attempted or completed. |
[quote author=MrBrownJay1 post=129671274]bro, i know a personal friend who trained for almost a year to run a marathon, he was really determined etc... on the day of that Paris Marathon, he was pumped up etc... by km30 he hit what is called the runners block and couldnt even run another km. he was just like the below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbXy2vkJxSk[/quote It's definitely a difficult task.A feat worth trumpeting.A salute to those who attempted or completed. |
MrBrownJay1:Yeah,it ain't the same training.l applaud those that go for such endurance run.lt can be challenging and overwhelming. And not for everyone. |
MrBrownJay1:You are probably right about a lifestyle from home but anyone can begin or change a lifestyle even at old age for a better health. Some never had a gym but now go to train their body. I had to check on the number of India, and Pakistanis that ran the race.314 lndians took part while 30 Pakistanis also did.l further checked on South Africans too.322 did participate.l also checked last year 2023 to observe why and Nigeria wasn't close to the number of these countries and others that l randomly looked despite the huge Nigeria presence in the UK. If you like to know the results and various nationalities, you can google on Tcs London marathon, go to the page, click on the bar on the right, then results, then advanced search, then nations and click on any country you interested in. |
MrBrownJay1:Ha,ha.lt only exposes the laziness and inactive lifestyle of a people or group.lt's a clear pointer to why obesity is high and Life expectancy is low among Nigerians in diaspora.I guess the more than 50.000 people from different nationality, backgrounds, academia, work lives that participated in the race had nothing better to do with their lives, really?? |
It makes sense at what he is saying, considering the superstitious nature of an average Nigerian both the ones living here and the ones abroad. Most god of men have been making remarks on the economy and financial issues claiming God revealed everything to them.Apostle Suleman,Odumeje, the redeemed CEO etc are now our financial experts. |
Also good to download apps that helps in counting steps and burning calories.Google fit and Runkeeper are my favorite. I however, prefer to run or jog.Walking is something most humans do often and l personally see it as a daily routine with little or no push or result, except when it's done for a long distance.l think walking with a bag with some weights in, can enhance our strength and overall cardiovascular health.Cardio exercises like Swimming, Running, cycling etc will give a stronger muscle strength, body endurance, balance, stability and general health Wellness. |
Jim Radcliffe,Man U co-owner ran an impressive race at the London Marathon 2024. At his age,71,he finished the race at 4:30 Min.Another wonderful performance was from a 71 year old woman, Jeannie Rice who ran at 3:33 Min, breaking her previous record.Sadly,it was another low turnout by Nigerians.Nigerians are one of largest immigrant group in the UK with over a million residing there.Only 19 persons took part in the race with the oldest, being Adeyanju Queen, within the 50-54 year category. |
Prices of goods and services keep rising at an exponential rate in this country, because of the dollar to Naira news.lt ain't longer funny. |
And the prices of goods and services will just keep on increasing.Price of 50 kg of rice might reach to a 100.000 naira soon. And the dizzying upward spiral on other items will only continue. So sad for the common man in this country. |
Now that prices of goods are falling and then this again. So unfortunate for the common man in this country. |
Build everything seperately.Toilet, bathrooms, kitchens, etc to prevent unnecessary friction, contempts, argument etc. |
"Don't spray money, put your money gifts in the box" "Fine and jail term awaits culprits" should be on banners at parties and ceremonies across the country. |
We shall watch the London Marathon 2024 tomorrow. Who do you think would win,an Ethiopian or Kenyan?Or a Nigerian, why not? How many Nigerians do you guess shall participate in the run? Last year, only 24 Nigerians took part out of 48.000 participants.Nigerians are over a million in the UK.That handful turnout by Nigerians was a clear indication of a people and their inactive lifestyle.Sadly,New York marathon also had very few Nigerians.if Poles, lndians, Mexicans, South Africans etc could take part in large numbers, what makes it different for Nigerians? We shall watch and relay tomorrow. |
She has a point since things don't work the way it should in Nigeria.lt is very devastating for a child to be told that the person that she/he is calling a dad is not actually his/her dad.Well, nothing stops the wife to not pay the bills for another DNA test,if she is certain that she was faithful to the man.Multiple tests can be done but it shouldn't always be the sole responsibility of the man.You both can split the bill. l know that sounds awkward to the ears of an average Nigerian lady, to split bills but then.... |
So sad.And this is only April month when we have intermittent rain. It would then be a disaster in the coming months of the rainy seasons.Nonetheless, this is a national issue and the citizens are also part of the problem. Take a look at the drainage in the video,it's already filled with lots of garbage. The water way will remain blocked if you throw in things in the gutter or drainage and the water subsequently will find its way into your homes and shops.lt is that simple. |
Enjoy yourself sir, how much you want but do it within the ambit of the law.No fighting,no spraying of money and even mostly importantly no high volume on music or loud speakers after certain hours, something l think the government should strickly ban or begin to send people to jail for it.Meanwhile sir,do meet a dietician and fitness coach to help you stay in shape. You deserve to stay healthy and live longer. |
A little up and down variation is very normal.l hope it does not fall to a downward trend like we saw lately.lt is unfortunate, however, that Prices of basic commodities are still rising and not showing any signs of reducing. |
How did they conclude that she was poisoned?Any autopsy results or mere hearsay or speculations? Could be that she had an underlying disease or illness that led to her death? |
Mr Apostle, most people in your church don't buy or sell on dollar. They simply want the prices of basic goods and services to reduce so they can feed and cater for their families. We are yet to notice any changes. We trade on Naira in this country and prices are skyrocketing daily. |
Congratulations to the finance team.Hope, lessons are learnt on never to let the forces of a willing buyer and willing seller,in other words black market, determine the exchange rate of your currency. Also, not to rely on the forces of demand and supply to determine our currency, since our economy isn't that robust.Nonetheless, prices of basic commodities are still very high.Hope,we begin to see some cuts or reduction on that too as a result. |
Six months is just too harsh.l think however that, the sentence will act as a deterrent to defaulters.Spraying money in Nigeria is very common even among the notables in the country. |
I am happy for Air peace and hope to fly with the Airline someday if l happen to leave the country.l pray it does not end up like Arik or Medview that once flew London. We don't have a unified dresscode in this country and it's not reasonable for anyone to direct the airline, moreover a private airline,to not have or wear a particular dress to operate their business. All in all,we should learn to buy our own products. We have the population to grow Nigeria and make it successful. |
The prices differ from store to store, since there are no price control.I do the same like you do, walk around and find prices and buy eventually at a cheaper price. For example a bottle of 150 cl that l usually buy for 300 N or even below went to 350-400.Had to walk around and bought at 300.Shoprite even sells at 284 Naira,so they have me since l like walking and drink much water. Some people would say the difference is nothing but adding all that money is much in the long Furthermore, our body is meant for moving, not sitting as this would cut down on transportation costs.Walk, walk people. |
Nigeria has one of the highest paternity fraud in the world, unfortunately. |
We are proud of you, sir.Hopefully, someday l shall fly air peace,if l happen to leave the country. |
Nigerians abroad are also relatively unhealthy hence a low life expectancy for them over there. |
Mcslize:If you are young, you can leave if you have no work or hope for the country. If you are above 40,it can challenging and overwhelming when you relocate to a new land. That is my point. Beside,we also have gun violence in many countries around the world. |
