These are the birth pangs of Revelation leading to the end of the world. Every country is dealing with diverse issues, cis the world as we know is failing.
Watermelon, like Banana wouldn't be hard to grow in Calabar,if you have a piece of land.Study your environment and begin doing some farming. You can also bake your bread at home by moulding some clay oven.So many things that we can do by ourselves.
FoodRe: Clay Oven In Nigeria. by Tendd(op):

Subsistence farming is not unique to Nigeria nor is it meant to be done away with. It is a sensible means of livelihood that makes sense no matter the age one lives in. undecided

2. Yes, there are poor African and Middle Eastern countries where these ovens are still used but you are suggesting that this ancient idea be introduced into Nigeria in the year 2023/2024, and that is cause to laugh. Please consider the potential cost of this idea to say Nigerian forests at least. At least know say na

firewood these ovens require and as e dey so, the country's forest cover is already at a dangerous low.

3. Why you keep comparing Nigeria to Palestine is
beyond me abeg! undecided

I am not for or against the idea mind you. I am just on the side laughing at how ridunculous the situation has gotten. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Electricity is one of the oldest form of technology in the world but we still can't supply it enough in Nigeria,so what's wrong with clay oven.lf people still cook food by firewoods in the country,l see no problems in finding woods for baking bread.lt won't be hard to find. There is constant electricy and running water and also infrastructural development in Palestine than what we see in Nigeria.Corruption is also at minimum level.Sadly, all is controlled by lsrael and that is why there's war.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

2024 around the corner and we are considering going for clay ovens. I at least understand the situation over in Palestine but what exactly is ....🤣
We still practice subsistence farming in Nigeria, don't we.That is even more ancient but still a very healthy method for food production than mass or industrial production.l see no problems in having a clay oven to bake breads for sustenance and survival. This is normal in most of North Africa and the middle east.
The people of Palestine had a steady power supply until recently. We even don't have enough power supply in Nigeria. And prices of basic commodities are just too high for the common man.
FoodClay Oven In Nigeria. by Tendd(op): 12:29am On Nov 23, 2023
I saw this news about Palestinians using clay oven to bake breads because of shortage of power supply and l wondered if these were common or worth emulating here in Nigeria. We already have very little power supply in the country coupled with high prices of basic commodities and baking our breads at home will very much reduce our daily expenditure since most of us consume bread daily. This would also be beneficial for people suffering from diabetes and other fat related diseases as one can then decide on the amount of sugar to be added to the fluor before baking.
Foreign AffairsRe: Running Out Of Fuel, People In Gaza Seek Out Traditional Clay Ovens (Photos) by Tendd: 11:29pm On Nov 21, 2023
This is better than breads in the shops because one can decide the amount of sugar added. Is this even common in Nigeria ?Do Nigerians bake their own bread since we have constant shortage of electricity?l honestly think this is thing worth trying.

Foreigners do marathon for fun, fitness, sports, and to mark an event.
Nigerians do it for different reasons.

Most of these foreigners don't really aim to win but to finish the race and thick it in their bucket list.
For Nigerians, the aim is different.

Before I continue, what's the longest distance you've ever ran?
We need to change our mindset regarding fitness and longevity. This explains why we have a relatively low life expectancy for Nigerians here and also those living abroad.A Nigerian abroad is mostly likely to get overweight due to overeating and inactive lifestyle.72 % of black adults in the UK are overweight or living with obesity while 4 of 5 black adult women in the US is overweight or obese.Somebody at 55 thinks he's very old to run or walk many kilometers. We need nollywood actors/actresses, content creators, musicians, comedians etc to begin running to promote health and wellness in the country.ln various marathons around the world,we often hear of celebrities that run for a cause or charity. We need that in Nigeria too and not obesity and consumerism as seen on our own celebrities.Any wonder why many are getting sick or dying every now and the?

It isn't about me or what l do.l think that Nigerians both home and abroad deserves to live longer and that can happen if most begin to take part regularly on cardio and strength training.

Familiarity breeds contempt.During covid lockdown, some said it was horrible to sit at home, but for me it was a normal moment. There is a difference between feeling lonely and being alone.I find peace and solace being alone.I don't feel lonely at all.On my free time,l exercise more at home than going to noisy gyms full of egocentric fellows.I like running or walking too by myself.l will like to move to Canada cause it seem to match with my personality.

My Dad is close to 80 he loves adventure but I would never ever allow him to go through such cardiovascular endurance athletic

Never!!!
You shouldn't,if he is not well trained for long distance running though some started running at a relatively old age.Rather encourage him do some form of physical training regularly.Strength training has proven to be the most recommended since we become frail and weak due to muscle loss as we age.

How much is threadmill that a 60 years old man would be running about

As for me oo, my pops , walks around the hood, use blood circulative massager, and a cycling machine

Marathon!!!!!

It's about fitness, resistance, longevity and endurance.
48.000 and 53.000 people did it in London and New York respectively. They could have better of ran on a treadmill, don't you it?

SportsCan a Nigerian above the age of 60 run and finish a marathon? by Tendd(op):
I have taken time to watch and observe many running races around the world and hardly would one find many Nigerians despite our huge population in diaspora. This year's New York Marathon for example had more than 53.000 runners but only 11 Nigerians, the oldest being 45 years.London, Chicago,Dubai ,Berlin Marathons, etc had also very few Nigerian runners, of which most were under 45,despite our massive presence in these countries.37 persons that
were 80 years and above ran and completed the New York Marathon 2023.Can a Nigerian that is above the age of 60 run and complete a long distance race like a marathon for example?Who wants to be the first Nigerian to attain that feat?
RomanceRe: People say Age Is Just A Number. Do you agree?(picture) by Tendd: 8:45pm On Nov 18, 2023
Age is just a number though we need more regular exercise as we age to enhance our muscle strength and Cardiovascular health. At 30 we all begin to loose muscle mass and bone density.Fact is that,an average Nigerian, both the ones here or abroad can't run or walk the required 10.000 steps per day.The ones abroad are largely overweight or obese and live a sedentary lifestyle. For example, this year's New York Marathon of more than 53.000 persons, had only 11 Nigerians, the oldest being 45 years, whereas many people above 80 years from other Nationalities ran and finished. We all need strength and endurance to perform whatever duty we are doing and that requires a disciplined and consistent physical exercise. Can a Nigerian above 60 years run a marathon?

That explains the high rate of Obesity.
Processed foods are not good for your health. All these Chawama, pizza, hot dogs, hamburger etc are health hazards that will send you to your early grave. That is why Americans are the most obese in the world.Stop eating them. They ain't good for your health. You are already blessed with seasonal organic food.

It doesn't take any esoteric knowledge to know how much you save monthly or give away. You are merely enriching a fellow man and his family or Loved ones.Nothing at all to do with God.God is not poor and he is not asking you for anything to receive blessings.
Invest your money or better still put them in a savings account to multiply.Your bank will notify you monthly on how much you have and the returns there in.
SportsNew York Marathon 2023.Guess how many Nigerians that will participate? by Tendd(op): 6:27pm On Nov 04, 2023
Runners from more than 150 countries will be taking part in the 42.195 kilometer race tomorrow. Can anyone guess the number of Nigerians that will be participating?Long distance running is not only a race per se but a pointer to a fitness level of a people. For example,Only 24 Nigerians ran the London marathon this year.A disproportionately low number compared to the number of Indians, South Africans, Brazilians,Poles etc that took part in the race.It also explains partly why Nigerians in the UK and other oversea countries are largely overweight or obese.London had more 48.000 participants while New York 2023 will have more than 50.000 runners.
My guess for Nigerian participants is 20.
CelebritiesRe: Amaechi Muonagor Sick, Seeks Help by Tendd: 1:12am On Nov 04, 2023
The rule is simple.Stop overeating,do regular exercise or die sooner. The nollywood Industry has lost too many workers because many live a sedentary lifestyle. Most actors and actresses in Nollywood are either overweight or living with Obesity hence the deaths or health problems that we are constantly reading about.
I wonder if there is any that does a consistent fitness training.
PoliticsRe: Lagos State Government Reopens Alaba Rago Market. by Tendd:
The market looks very dirty.Too many polythene bags every where.. The state government must begin to increase taxes on plastic bags.People often get them for free and discard them later on the streets. And being so hard to decompose,we tend to find them every where on our streets. The state must make it mandatory for traders, Market women, shopkeepers etc to start selling plastic bags to customers,no matter the quantity. In so doing, people will begin to keep and reuse them later or pay to get a new one.

Christianity EtcRe: Going To Church Prolongs Your Life By 14 Years - Experts by Tendd:
Interesting! People of 7th day Adventist in Loma Linda, California live longer than most Americans. Most live up to a 100 years. The sardinia region in Italy, who are predominantly Catholics also have people that are up to a 100.Same for Ikaria,Greece,Nicoya in Costa Rica and also Okinawa,Japan who also have their own belief systems.lt is Refreshing that most of those regions with lots of centenarians are a kind of faith based communities.
This is however not a similar case for Nigeria where life expectancy is at 55 years despite being very prayerful.Poor healthcare, lack of fitness exercise and nutrition could be the reasons.Even Nigerians abroad aren't better either, despite having better and accessible healthcare. Most are either Obese or overweight specifically in the UK and USA.
CelebritiesRe: “We Didn’t Abandon Mr Ibu” - AGN by Tendd:
Unfortunately, this issue of Nigerian celebrities dying untimely or falling very sick will continue.Money isn't always the case but living a healthy lifestyle. One thing l noticed about most is that they all look morbidly obese with portrudiing stomachs.l have observed similar trend among skit makers aswell, just that most are relatively young.Very rare to find any Nigerian celebrity with a disciplined and consistent fitness goal.Sadly, the youths will continue to copy such sedentary lifestyle.Any wonder why life expectancy in the country is at 55 years.

SportsRe: Why Can't Nigeria Do Well In Cricket And Rugby Like South Africa? by Tendd:
South Africans are generally more interested and involved in health and fitness activities than Nigerians.ln marathons and Half marathon across the world for example, one is likely to have more South Africans taking part in the events than Nigerians.Chicago, London, Berlin Marathons are a few examples.Nigerians living in these countries are in thousands, yet very few are in sporting activities.
