The Qur'an Narrative :

Qur'an 38:20-27
38:20 And We strengthened his (David's) dominion, and bestowed upon him wisdom and sagacity in judgment
38:21 AND YET, has the story of the litigants come within thy ken - [the story of the two] who surmounted the walls of the sanctuary [in which David prayed]
38:22 As they came upon David, and he shrank back in fear from them, they said: “Fear not! [We are but] two litigants. One of us has wronged the other: so judge thou between us with justice, and deviate not from what is right, and show [both of] us the way to rectitude
38:23 “Behold, this is my brother: he has ninety-nine ewes, whereas I have [only] one ewe - and yet he said, ‘Make her over to me,’ and forcibly prevailed against me in this [our] dispute.”
38:24 Said [David]: “He has certainly wronged thee by demanding that thy ewe be added to his ewes! Thus, behold, do many kinsmen wrong one another [all] save those who believe [in God] and do righteous deeds: but how few are they!” And [suddenly] David understood that We had tried him: and so he asked his Sustainer to forgive him his sin, and fell down in prostration, and turned unto Him in repentance
38:25 And thereupon We forgave him that [sin]: and, verily, nearness to Us awaits him [in the life to come], and the most beauteous of all goals
38:26 [And We said:] “O David! Behold, We have made thee a [prophet and, thus, Our] vicegerent on earth: judge, then, between men with justice, and do not follow vain desire, lest it lead thee astray from the path of God: verily, for those who go astray from the path of God there is suffering severe in store for having forgotten the Day of Reckoning!”

For comparison and context purposes, I have also related the summary of the Bible version of the same story
The Bible gives the story of David's sin of Adultery and Murder in relation to Batsheba the wife of one of his soldiers Uriah.
The story of the Judgement of David by God and his repentance was detailed in 2 Sam 11:1-27 and 2 Sam 12:1-25

[color=black]Bible Summary :2Sam 11:1-27 and 2Sam 12:1-25
1. David did not follow his army to fight with the army of the city of Rabbah but stayed at home.
2. On one of the nights at the upper deck of his palace, he saw the beautiful young wife (Batsheba) of Uriah (one of his foot soldiers) taking her bath
3. David sent for her and had sex with her.
4. A few weeks down the line, Batsheba sent to David that she was pregnant.
5. To cover his sin of Adultery, David summoned Uriah to take a leave from the battlefront in order that he might sleep with his wife.
6. Even though, David got Uriah to drink much wine, Uriah would not go home to sleep with his wife.
7. After days of trying, David saw that Uriah wouldnt go home and sleep with his wife, therefore David wrote a letter to the head of the army Joab to arrange for the death of Uriah. The Sealed letter of his death was to be delivered personally to Joab by Uriah.
8. Joab received the letter and Uriah was killed as arranged. David, relieved took the wife of Uriah Batsheba and married her. David thought that his sins was covered.
Enter Prophet Nathan
1. God sent Prophet Nathan to David to tell him that his sin of Adultery and Murder did not get unnoticed by God.
2. Nathan therefore gave a parable to David as if he was reporting a case of injustice in Israel.
a. There was a rich man who had many animals and a poor man who had just one lamb.
b. The rich man received a visitor and instead of killing one of his may animals, he decided to take the only lamb of this poor man.
c. David boiled in anger at this rich man and pronounced a death sentence on him.
d. Prophet Nathan said to David: You are the rich man and the poor man is Uriah.
e. David realized that he has committed a great sin worthy of death.
F. With tears he repented as Nathan continued to present the Judgement of Jehovah God upon him.

Christianity EtcObvious Error Of Comprehension In The Qur'an by TenQ(op): 8:25pm On Nov 11, 2023
The Qur'an and the Bible presented the same event as we shall see in Quran 38:20-26 and in the Bible, 2Sam 11:1-27 and 2Sam 12:1-25

Except there is a self contradiction in the Qur'an, Allah says that the Qur'an was given in great Details

Qur'an 6:144
[Say (O Muhammad SAW)] "Shall I seek a judge other than Allah while it is He Who has sent down unto you the Book (The Quran), explained in detail." Those unto whom We gave the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] know that it is revealed from your Lord in truth. So be not you of those who doubt

If the above is true, then we expect the Qur'an to be exceptionally clear and simple to understand.

Qur'an Summary : Qur'an 38:20-26
1. Allah strengthened the kingdom of Prophet David (Dawood), endowing him with wisdom and eloquent speech.
2. The incident begins when two adversaries approach Prophet David by climbing over the wall of his prayer chamber.
3. The two individuals explain their situation to David, stating that they are in a dispute, and they seek his judgment. They describe themselves as two adversaries, with one claiming to have been wronged by the other.
4.The complainant presents his case, stating that he has ninety-nine ewes, while the other party has only one. He alleges that the other person unjustly demanded his single ewe, overpowering him in speech.
5. Prophet David, after listening to their case, realizes that the person with ninety-nine ewes has wronged the one with only one ewe. David acknowledges that many associates (people) often oppress one another, except for those who believe and do righteous deeds.
6. David becomes certain that this situation is a trial from Allah. In response, he seeks forgiveness from his Lord, falls down in prostration, and turns in repentance.

As this story doesn't make sense, we need to ask a few questions for clarification and clarity.

Questions:
Allah presents the story as actual occurences of two adversaries one rich and the other poor with the rich person taking the only lamb of the poor man.
1. If David miraculously and with wisdom judged that the rich person wronged the poor person by taking his only sheep:
Since David was not at fault here, Why did David seek for forgiveness from Allah?
2. What sin did David commit?
3. Compared with the Bible, would you say that the narrator of the Qur'an did a good job of narrating the events surrounding the story?
How is this situation a trial from Allah?
5. Do you think that it is remotely possible that God will have a comprehension problem of historical events?

In the next page is the summary of the Bible Narrative and the Qur'an text

So, your shinny man saw a vision of Micheal and he is going to go back into the visonl as Micheal was fighting with those who held him down in his vision!?

Is there some reason why you refuse to read my response to this very same question to you for like the third or fourth time now? I have no intention of changing my response just so you know. undecided

As for my continued mention of the Shiny Man, well, He is the narrator of the vision afterall, the same one who narrated beginning in Daniel 10 all the way through to end of chapter 12. I have to quote him since it is he -- not Daniel or anyone else -- who mentioned the character called Micheal. undecided
Since you insist on talking about your shinny man:

You said: The shinny man related a vision!?
How mistaken could you have been!?

1. Is this statement below a report of a vision or actual occurrence:
Dan 10:13:
"But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, see, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia."

2. If your shinny man merely related a vision, then Micheal does not exist as a man: do you agree with this?

My mistake!

1. We know from the vision given to Daniel by the Shiny man that at the time presented in the vision which was given to Daniel, this Michael character was. But to suggest that based on that one line in Daniel 12, Micheal also had to be alive at the end of days, just over 550 years after Daniel received the vision, is a bit of a stretch on your part, given what is stated in that verse. undecided
The same Shiny man spoke the vision in Daniel 10, 11, and 12. So it is not a leap to suggest He spoke of the same Michael character. undecided
You and your obsession with your Shiny man
Are you saying that the Report on Micheal was a VISION!?

Is your Shiny man real or not?

Again!
The emphasis is not on your Shiny man but on the identity of Micheal The prince of Israel.

Speak of the identity of Micheal and answer the questions.

Focus on Micheal please... +leave your shining man out of the equation for now

1. Is the Micheal in Dan 10:21 different from Michael in Dan 12:1?

2. Is Dan 12:1 already fulfilled or it is in the future time? If it has been fulfilled, when and how?

Or are you saying that Micheal did not exist as a personality?

Interesting claims you make here!

We know from the vision given to Daniel by the Shiny man that at the time presented in the vision which was given to Daniel, this Michael character was. But to suggest that based on that one line in Daniel 12, Micheal also had to be alive at the end of days, just over 550 years after Daniel received the vision, is a bit of a stretch on your part, given what is stated in that verse. undecided

2. This brings me back to what I had been asking all along. The Shiny Man, in the vision, qualified the prince of Persia, the king of Persia, and maybe even the prince of Greece as evil angels. undecided

Since you claim Micheal in Daniel had to be an archangel, then would it not equally follow that the King of Persia(Cyrus was King of Persia at the time in question), the prince of Persia, and the prince of Greece all equally mentioned in the vision were also archangels? And let's not exclude Daniel, another person who was mentioned in the vision as well. undecided
Recall, we are dealing here with messages revealed in vision format and they are not meant to be given LITERAL interpretations. undecided
Focus on Micheal please... +leave your shining man out of the equation for now

1. Is the Micheal in Dan 10:21 different from Michael in Dan 12:1?

2. Is Dan 12:1 already fulfilled or it is in the future time? If it has been fulfilled, when and how?

The Truth will hit you if only you can be truthful in your response to these two questions
Christianity EtcRe: "Who Is The Prince Of Persia In Daniel 10?" by TenQ: 10:18pm On Nov 10, 2023
Kobojunkie:
1. Ok. So Michael is not an angel but an archangel. And does this mean that every mention of the name Micheal in Scripture is of this archangel also called Michael in the Books of Jude and Revelations? undecided
By the way, to comprehend what is written it is best to allow Scripture to reveal the truth intended by the author to you. The moment you resort to reading your previously held delusions between the lines of what is written, you violate Scripture and spew nothing but lies.

2. According to Daniel, the identity of the Micheal character is as prince of his people — Israel. So, how did you conclude that this particular prince is an archangel? Are all princes archangels? There are several other princes named Michael equally mentioned in Scripture. I believe some of them were princes too. Were they equally archangels? undecided

And there are the many questions I previously asked that you have yet to answer...

3. The one who touched Daniel is the same supposedly delayed by the prince of Persia and was stuck with the king of Persia. So, does this equally mean Daniel was not human? undecided

4. If you wish to believe that, good for you, my interest instead lies with understanding the identities of those mentioned by the Shiny man in the vision and so far, nothing to prove they aren't all humans or at least representations of them. undecided

5. Beat Cyrus at what exactly? And was that for 21 literal solar days? undecided
A few other People in. the scripture also bear the name Michael.

However this one called the prince of Isreal was and is to be the future and history of Israel
1. He was Alive during the time of Daniel
Dan 10:21:
"But I will show you that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holds with me in these things, but Michael your prince."

2. He is also to be during the end time tribulation
Dan 12:1:
"And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book."

Is their any human with a lifespan like that of Micheal the price of Israel?

Michael is not only an angel madam, he is an arch angel

Jud 1:9:
"Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke you."

Rev 12:7:
"And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,"

Every other insinuation of yours breakdown once you comprehend this.

The identity of Michael is not hidden in the scripture

Dan 12:1:
"And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book."

Rev 12:7-8:

First thing first, you quoted earlier from chapter 10 claiming the shiny man from that vision was Gabriel. Why? undecided

Second, who or what decides whether a character in or mentioned in a vision is of celestial origin or not? You keep insisting that because you believe the shiny man in chapter 10 was of celestial origin, then prince of Persia, King of Persia, and the prince of Greece must equally be of celestial origin. On what grounds do you make this conclusion? undecided

Is Daniel whom the shiny man is written to have touched equally a celestial being? Cyrus was mentioned by God and he was a King of Persia, so why is he excluded from the celestial queue? undecided
The spirit of argument will not leave you alone even over things that are obvious.

1. Is it true that Michael being referred to in Daniel is an Angel?
2. Is it untrue that the One who the Prince of Persia delayed is not a human being?

Even if the personality in Question is not Gabriel, he is most certainly another high ranking Angel.

Please Explain how two Angels cannot defeat Cyrus and his army in 21 days?

Dan 9:21:
"Yes, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation."

Even if the personality is not Gabriel, he is a celestial being isn't it?

You didn't know that this is a celestial Being joined with Micheal and they couldn't subdue a mere mortal Cyrus! ?

Hello

Am a 32year old lady with 3kids...and my problem is that my husband doesn't like coming close to me.

This year September will make it 1 year since we came back to the house after about 4years of separation.

I have some health challenges I.e I have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia/ Bi-polar disorder so my challenges are peculiar...

He doesn't come close to me, he feels my illness is more spiritual and transferable...anything I make the move to initiate sex first I am met with violence.

Sometimes he makes comments like "leave me alone"..." How are u that what is doing you is not communicable", "how sure am I, that those that are doing you are not after me" etc.

In the course of this 10years of marriage... I have had to endure up to 2years of no sexual contact and is telling on me....my psychotherapist says I need sex to calm my subconscious... Sometimes when I want to sleep or in the night...I see strange men or women that want to sleep with me plus other strange things etc.

I need help please

File Photo: For Illustration
You want a solution!?

1. If your husband thinks it is spiritual, then ask him to look for a Deliverance minister for you and you go through the whole ordeal
2. If you have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia, take your drugs regularly. You might have to be on medication throughout your life.

These above are the issues. If you don't clear them, nothing will change.

3. Your husband may also be enjoying freedom from always needing to beg you for sex in your younger days: he could be retaliating. Men sometimes switch off because of this. You may need to repent of this.
4. Do your best not to make your medical diagnosis an excuse for anything in your marriage again.
When you show that you are healed, your husband will relax on his stance.

Hmmm! See bro...you make sense here. Frankly speaking you are not totally wrong with this statement. And if I have to say the truth, you really understand the point I was making.

See...those Awolowo, Gowon, Azikiwe people...down to Tinubu.... hmmm. Those ones are just useless in every way. If there is a word to describe them all...they are olo.shi.

But why did i include 60 plus. These set of people still had good chances to travel abroad in the 80s... they got jobs easily after secondary school. It was already getting bad..but not like this. And they easily got Us, UK visa. So, for this reason, they are included.

My main issue with them is that those group of people failed to see the errors of their parents and they continued. This is why I am shouting so that when i get to 60 plus, my conscience will let me sleep well.
At that time, no one knew Nigeria would be this bad.
Most of the people who traveled abroad did so with the hope of coming back home to use their expertise for the Nation.

There was no prophet that could predict that Nigeria would eventually go this bad.

Nigerians started travelling out with a one way ticket from the early 2000's and this were mainly young people. If you were 20 year old in the year 2000, you would have been 43 year old now.

Even then, those who ruled and mismanaged Nigeria are less than 0.000001% of the population. These people understand that to keep themselves in power, they have to cause Mass Illiteracy and Poverty.

The Poor will collect N2000 to vote for a person who will steal N2,000,000 from their personal GDP in four years. The uneducated will vote based on no ideology but by tribalism, religiolism, nepotism etc. Since this is the largest population of citizens, democracy becomes a recurrent scam.

Just as you feel helpless as a young Nigerian, 99.999% of those you blame are also in this category.

The Truth of the matter is that Nigeria has been long highjacked by "Educated Area Boys", this is why we are in the problem we find ourselves.

If you read what is written in the first verse of the same chapter that is Daniel 10, you would find a literal mention of the identity of the King of Persia at the time in question. undecided
So, if in his journal, Daniel already indicated that the King of Persia at the time of the event was Cyrus, a human and man, then it should follow that the mentions of the Prince of Persia, the Prince of Greece, and the Prince of Daniel's people aka the Israelites, in addition to a repeat mention of the King of Persia, ought also be reference to either the individuals who occupy the seats or the office in question.

2. What you have done here is certainly not taking it at "face value" rather, you chose to regurgitate the same delusional lie that has previously been fed to you by your mogs and pastors. There is no evil ruling any nation except for the men— flesh and blood— who rule over them. You can read through the books of Jeremiah, Haggai, Isaiah, etc. to see how God directly punished the Kings, and peoples of each nation as He saw fit. No evil archangel power ruling people. undecided
Gabriel and Michael could hardly contain Cyprus by themselves.
I cannot remember if there were mentions of the army of Cyrus

Nigeria is an abnormal society. Read comments of m.ad people like the man above justifying his action. There are other ways of disciplining the girl, but the useless man as usual wanted to prove he is older than the girl. It is the right of the girl to defend herself from him. What about sending her out of the class. And if she doesnt walk out, he walks out and then take the right action. But he chose to force his will by laying his hands on the girl. And mum.u above just like the man are supporting the act. This is why they go to jail abroad. See eh...Nigeria is an abnormal society. This is why I dont regard anyone above 60. They are useless. Why? Na dem spoil Naija. Na dem holy pass...na dem sabi all...na dem want respect pass....but with the present state of Nigeria and with all the goodies available to them before and after independence. .look at where Nigeria is. Yet, they are still demanding respect. That generation is so manipulative. They use everything tovforce their will on people. If their useless words doesnt make sense, the next is to abuse the person by laying their hands on the victim. They dont mind using religious books to brain wash people. This generation ma.d oooò grin The portion they know in the Bible is honor your parents so your days may be long..if you quote parents, respect and love your children...they go go wild ni. Very selfish generation. They destroyed Nigeria. I pray the parents of the girl are well doing so they can treat the mess up of that useless ma d man. Just imagine...becos he thinks he is the alpha and omega in the class...he does not recognise the girl as an adult. Simple...use your authority and send her out of the class. Period. I know many lecturers who stepped aside until the kids walked out. Na the kids begged later because they kept sending the kids out of the class. Simple as ABC. That is the authority this man has. And it ends there. If the kid is useless and does not want to learn, it is automatic F. Period. But laying hands on the girl (an adult), this man needs to go to jail. But it is Naija na where abnormal people like those who have made comments above live. grin Werey plenty in naija grin
Very very soon, you'd be sixty!
Lets see how you would view yourself!

All this big men over protecting their daughter this is usually the end result

A so called young director been tossed up and down by a guy because she has no dating experience as a result of over protectiveness

You raised 'dumb' kid with zero street wisdom
Its not about dating experience sir.

It's about not having a personal value of what is the most important asset in a marriage relationship. It takes a sound knowledge and not experience to know that.

Dear happily married people that came from a broken home, please speak up.

Someone said it's not hereditary and I agree. But just saying that is no much help.

Marriage is very scary to me right now. Actually, for many years.

And it's something my partner is very interested in. I want it too, but the fear is all I can feel.
Two things A good marriage depend on the following
1. If you are a good Loving, Forgiving, Understanding partner with a healthy spiritual and family values
2. If your spouse to be is a good Loving, Forgiving, Understanding partner with a healthy spiritual and family values
3. Design. A marriage cannot exceed the design it was based upon before execution.

These are the foundational basis of any good marriage. The rest is routine implementation

Why does men die faster than women?
Men die earlier than women because they are expected to sacrifice their time, money and all for the advancement of their wives and children sacrificially irrespective of their state of physical and mental health.

Any man that is not sacrificing his ALL for his family is a selfish human being that deserves no iota of respect

You better train your daughters on verbal abuse , you come here dey talk now... most fight starts from verbal abuse.. teach your daughters to control their mouth... na that man dense ... no woman will try that with me
I know a married man that maltreat his gentle wife. He even beats her occasionally.
One day, I the wife would have the opportunity of freedom. Your advise would be that she doesn't take it.

I know another man who is bedridden for years now. Unfortunately, while he was strong healthy and working, his wife was a trash to him. The wife practically took loans to send her children to school and fed them from her small trade. It's still this wife who has been magnanimous to take care of her bedridden husband.

I know a man who did not know how his four children went to the university and graduated because the wife did everything. His own money was for friends, women and beer.

When you've seen a lot, you also know a lot. A nan reaps what he has sown!

It doesn't work like that.

Most women desire PEACE of MIND in marriage. Any man that cannot give his wife this forfeits her loyalty. Married Women on the average don't care as much as the men about sex. The case becomes even worse if the man is physically and emotionally violent to his wife.

What a man sows to his wife, he reaps in future with her

Yes!
One can be wicked to the wife BUT hope to benefit from her residence status in UK in order that he too may Japa!

Except if it can be proved that the woman is insane, there is no smoke without fire. She must have acted because of some reasons due to mistreatment.

If the Husband is good to her, she no rational woman will take that kind of step

Unfortunately, your friend is reaping what he had sown. When you act as the Lion of the Tribe of your House to your wife and she doesn't know you love her and all she sees is your hate: the more reason she would perfect this kind of smart move on him.

She had calculated that the only way she can have her children is if she played dumb.
Now with her children, she is free to pay back her husband. An Eye for an Eye AND a Tooth for a Tooth.

Note:
I am not supporting this woman's action but, their is no smoke without fire. She did not take the decision because she was insane.

Sorry to the man. I hope he finds help!

Mr Islamophobe. The beating of drums has today blinded your thinking. Ruined temple is the best place to pray. In fact you have enlightened me more and another reason for me to believe Prophet Muhammad ﷺ more. Allahu Akbar. May Allah bless the prophet. I used to think how did 124000 prophets fit into the temple. Thanks for enlightening me that the walls have ruined, delapidated walls and pillars would make a temple contain even millions of prophets, just the way we pray on field during Eid prayer. This is another sign that the Prophet was extremely honest and a man of honor. Thanks for letting me know the possibility and only way the temple was able to contain thousands of prophets. God definitely made the temple ruin because of the prayer of those thousands of prophets. Allahu Akbar.
Mumu. He was thoroughly examined by the best travelers and explorers of 7th century and the fact that he passed all the tests is one of the reasons why everybody in Saudi Arabia converted to Islam and the reason why Abubakri earned the title of Sidik. Before the thoroughly examination, many people left Islam because they thought the journey wasn't possible, but after the examination, they all came back into Islam. Don't think people of the past are fools, they're very smart. They wouldn't believe him if he has lied or failed the examination. Your conspiracy wi take you know where,Islam will keep growing and Christianity will keep declining as it is happening now according to research, meanwhile,Islam is world's fastest growing religion according to google
Thank you very much Mr Deji for this your post. You think I hate Muslims : but far from it. I love you Muslims enough to show you facts of your own religion that will open your eyes to the one-chance you have entered. I am happy that at least you learnt that there wasn't any mosque or temple at Jerusalem because the Romans destroyed it to it's foundation 530 years before Mohammed. We are coming closer to the truth.

Let's examine this going to the temple (Mosque) at Jerusalem.

Was this a real occurences or a vision that Mohammed had?
