Most Islamic Scholars and Commentators are in agreement that the two surahs found in the compilation of Ubayy were never part of the Qur'an rather, they were du'ai qunut recited during prayers, especially the fajr prayer.
Ubayy compilation was not a Qur'an. It was for his personal use only.

Ruach in a proper sense does mean SPIRIT and sometimes used as breath. The breath here does not mean breathing but life or existence.

For instance, Ruach Elohim means the Spirit of God. In many references in the Old Testament, the Ruach Elohim comes upon an individual and allows him to speak for the Lord.

The flat definition of Ruach falls apart in the context above.

Secondly, the Old Testament often use the words soul and spirit synonymously.
